You have opened my mind to slanted foundations my dear boi, I never knew such a thing was possible in this game, unless this is some kind of mod that let's you do these kind of things
@@_SiLLyWeinER Came from 2 discoveries. First, that fence foundations match the angle of the structure you are placing them on if on a raft/platform. Second, that you can use that flickering snap point to copy the angle away from the platform.

I just don’t understand how the slide part works. Do you just add water to a sloped roof or ramp. I need to experiment please if someone knows how this sorcery work let me know.
I am truly impressed with this (and your other builds) and have been trying to recreate this one on the server I play on. I get to the point of adding the stairs at the midpoint of the slide, for adding the pillar supports underneath of it and it will not let me "no foundations within range" even though I have the wooden portion in place and could add more metal fence to extend the slide up. Very frustrating. 5th attempt at it so far.
This is cute as! Makes me want to build one for our little water hole village haha. One question, is the build dependent on the raft staying around? Or can it be broken, since the fence foundations and regular foundations are "attached"?
In this case, it's not dependent on the raft. The bottom fence support is just low enough to think it's connected to the ground so provides foundation support at the bottom. The top of the slide is connected to the triangle ceiling on the tower structure which gives it support up that end.
Would love to build this but for whatever reason, the fence supports/foundations will not snap where you get them to (2.28-2.31) specifically the supports on the right side 😥

Has anyone tried it flat on their belly? That would really make it look like sliding if you could do it. I know the game is pretty but I wasn't prepared for how cool it was to watch from the first-person perspective while you slid down it. Thank you for your videos, they are super inspiring. :D

I've been trying to build this but I'm stuck when trying to put the wooden triangle ceiling (2:57 in the video). It says that there's no foundation nearby. Did I do something wrong or has something changed since you made this vid ? Anyways great content as always, i'm getting more and more convinced that you're an actual wizard
I had the same problem: The metal fence supports didn't break but the triangle ceiling just wouldn't place. You have to move the raft closer to the shore. The fence supports might be floating but they still need some kind of support (= they have to be close enough to the ground) and the same thing seems to apply to the triangle ceiling.
We built the one in hinteregions video together a while back. This is just a baby one to experiment with making it look pretty. The one in hinters video was actually done a bit different though now I think about it. There were some strange snap points when homestead released but they got patched.

He used a raft to rotate metal walls. You can't walk on walls but it has collision so it makes you slide:)

Thank you. I think that's because of the fence support mechanics being changed. Try snapping a temporary pillar to them.

@@Tempusfugit2009 Your fence foundation must be on the wrong snap point, if it's on the wrong one it will be flipped which is what causes the problem.
