I did a variant of this pagoda, 2x larger, 2x time longer, but same height. with stones and wood and adobe. looks great. I also did all x2 size with metal instead of wood, and TEK instead of the parts in stone, looks fantastic! a high-tech pagoda. For the entrance, I used a behemoth gate, and used a 8 block height, instead of the video's dino 4 block height, looks great. The behemoth if higher than 8 block -around 11?- but the rest of the height is hidden inside the interior of the first roof, not seen at all! Thanks for the idea, the video is great!
So for the floor around 13:40-ish where you have the two walls back to back, you can totally hide electrical cables in between them! Makes it super easy to not have ugly cables poking through your walls for your various electrical things. =D
I’ve rebuilt this pagoda that I love in ASA. It wasn’t easy, but the result is almost identical, despite the differences, because there are certain things we can no longer do. I built his Rex Pen but ended up modifying the living quarters into my own build style. But man as I was doing it all the metal for the railings and pipes I was thinking it was such a waste. But worth it in the end when I finished it. I also had the Eco garden mod and added green lights on each of the top metal pillars and it looks awesome.

As an experienced builder in Ark it's nice to see more cultural architecture being designed with the pieces we're given. Most of the Asian themed bases I've built lacked this Pagoda style that's common in Japanese structures, I just never figured out how to do it properly.

I’m fairly new to ark and I love your builds. They have taught me a LOT about the building strategy in this game. I just finished this but I made it 16x16 because why not? 😂

tim klafke But it’s so easy to build in Minecraft, in ARK you need a lot of materials, I have an almost medium base and it took so much wood, but in Minecraft you only have to place a single block each time to build with easy materials.
I’m not an official slave though lol. I gave up official after I got a reaper, giga, breeding Rex and like literally 20 drakes as well as the random assortment of mutated Dino’s. There’s just no fun playin on a giant lag/map that no one even talks on. I had everything as a solo player and even had a mega tribe on my Abb map. I just don’t want to be a slave to the cancer that is official.
Its a great build, but you miss an entire floor at about 24 minutes in. You can wangle it from the walk through later in the video, but its tricky. I definitely wouldn't recommend for an amateur builder, but only because that floor is missing. There's definitely going to be some adaptive building if you attempt this. Definitely worth the challenge though
Truly amazed by your videos. I can’t even go to sleep as each video leaves me baffled and wanting more. When you’re building, I see that you’re able to suspend in the air like Minecraft. Are you able to do that in a live server? If so what buttons do you choose on PS4. I’d love to recreate the large treehouse. Thank you!!
Wish they would take prime plus engrams add them to main game and make mobile engrams available to systems as well i really want to use mail boxes but they don't try to fix it since day 1
Is this able to be built in Ascended or are there mods being used that are not available yet? Mostly trying to figure out how to get the walls to phase in line with the door frames but no luck, the doors want to snap to one side or the other of the ceiling tile below. I have been trying to figure out why I can't put fence foundations in ceiling panels or if that will even help it snap correctly.
Just finished building this. can confirm it took about 20 hours (spread out through about a month) without flying. Im also end game level and had a lot of farming done beforehand so thats not included.
@@ethoraptor9479 not if you do it correctly. its very easy actually. just put down one pillar in the roof. then place a 2nd pillar under it at the 2nd snap point. if you are unsure how just watch any of his tutorials he teaches it in several videos

13:11 My triangle ceilings on the corners can intersect no problem if attached at the bottom but I can't get the upside down triangle in. same problem on all 4 corners. Any idea what I've got wrong?
Yes same here im using s+ stone triangle roofs dont snap there only metall or greenhouse triangle roofs. I dont know why. They easily snap perfect and i changed the model to stone after
very nice build. i would attempt to build something similar, BUT since roofing is always such a pain in the butt i wont do it. i dont think a tek replicator would fit.

I put in the corner a metall triangle roof and changed it to stone. The only way it worked for me
