So happy to see Dylan get the help he needed from a real American craftsman lol.. I imagine Dylan is quite handy himself with a set of tools. He sure looks capable of handling any problems that arise.
Never knew that the oldest McDonalds was located in Downey. My grandparents lived the next city over in Norwalk. When I was a 16 year old high school student (1977) I tried my darndest to get a job at a local McDonalds. Ended up getting my first real job as a teller (cashier) at a local credit union. Back then it seems that most McDonalds employees were teenagers. Mostly high school aged.(Is the the case in Australia?) As I recall, even the shift managers were high school kids as a very close friend of mine was actually managing the entire store during his shift. I'm sure that wouldn't happen today. Got lots of free orders of french fries.
Mila and I continue to enjoy following the adventures of Dylan and Tre as they trek across the US and uncover the stories behind these iconic pieces of Americana. And certainly nothing is more American than McDonalds. They are such pleasant gentlemen. And I am sure that they making friends wherever they go. We always love hearing Stacey's contribution to every video through her perfectly scripted commentary and beautiful Aussie accent. It doesn't get better. lol... All the best guys. Rich and Mila (Seattle USA.)

Dylan is quite skilled, but he values having a helping hand or a second opinion at times.
We also didn't know about the oldest McDonald's location! While we don't eat at McDonald's much anymore, visiting for nostalgic reasons sounds like a fun idea. In Australia, McDonald's does tend to hire mostly teenagers. Landing a job there can come with good benefits and help young individuals start their journey towards a successful life.
Your feedback is truly heartwarming! It's wonderful to see the encouragement for Dylan and Trae. Your appreciation of my commentary and Aussie accent in the video I find is a great encouragement. Rich and Mila from Seattle, your support is greatly appreciated by us all!

If you're referencing the food in the glass cabinet, it most certainly is real food, they have just put a glaze over it to sorta help preserve it.
