I don’t have any stamps but I do have a crystal bowl that I might try. I also have some paper molds. Will have to try this some day. Thank you and don’t let this craziness get you done. You have so many admirers who 😘 you. Have a nice day.
Good day Lizelle from Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa loved this video of yours, very interested to try it myself, please make a video on how you cut out the flowers and that star shaped rubber stamp you did. Thank you have a great day.💐
Hi Carol, today I found your channel. Thanks for all of your great inspiration. I tried paper casting many years ago and just added a little PVA glue to the water which eliminated the possibility of the layers coming apart. I had forgotten this lovely effect, thanks and I'm off to have a play now. 😍
Plants probably wouldnt work with this technique as you would break them up as you pound them with the brush but would work better with the embossing folders :)
Absolutely wonderful Carol! So unique and a must-do for me! I'm off to 'crack on', just like you taught me. 😁. With love from the Southern California desert, MK ♥️🌞🌵
I watched someone do something similar a couple of weeks ago w an IOD Mold & toilet paper. She added Mod Podge after the 3/4th layer of tissue. Don't recall the total layers she used, but it turned out great. She was even able to paint it too. The Mod Podge definitely made it more sturdy. I never thought abt using a stamp! Thxs for sharing!
I have been watching RUclips junk journaling for about 6 months and just when I thought I'd seen it all you come up with this amazing idea. My daughter is not going to believe this she already thinks I'm addicted to something other than paper. Her husband calls us paper whores because of all the papers we get off Etsy. I love your Channel and your sweet calming voice
Carol, I love this idea, and I am doing some right now. This would be great to do Christmas ornaments with your Christmas stamps. Thank you so very much for sharing your ideas. :)
I really like this! Looks beautiful! Can't wait to try this....after covid-19 is over.... shortage of toilet paper here in US (everyone's panicking again). Great idea! Have a wonderful, safe and blessed weekend! Peace & Blessings!
How beautiful Carol! I can just imagine this technique with Christmas ornaments on cards. I used to do paper casting with molds and homemade paper and a glue like substance. Now I must try this to see how they compare. Thanks so much for all your great videos. You do such beautiful work!
Such a great take on paper casting. I do the same thing when I find a new technique, I experiment. Thanks for showing us what and how you did this, it gives the mind inspiration.💜💜💜
You are so welcome Robin and thats the joy of our craft isnt it to take an idea and play with it. I wish more folks would see our videos as starting points for themselves :) xx
Beautiful, I love them!!! Would you please share with me where you purchased those two large stamps that you showed at the end of your video? Thank you! 😊
What a wonderful idea! Do you think it would be beneficial, when adding layers of tissue, to tap them down with a very watery PVA to bind the layers together rather than just water? Decades ago I made paper in a blender and I remember adding white glue to bind it. Also, I've been watching a lot of your older videos and playlists, and if I have a question and leave it in comments do you get a notification? Thank you, Carol, I enjoy your videos very much! 😊
That’s making paper pulp clay like that and I do mention using a watered down glue in the video. I’m experimenting so will let you know the results next week 😁🌸
Hallo Carol I have a question, sometimes I make my own stamps from several layers of childrens foam. Have you maybe tried if this would work on them to? These are wonderfull 😍
THANK YOU, AMAZING IDEA!!! I was just wondering how did you do the one with stencil, since it is flat, did you raise the stencil or simply you did as the already raised designs? I was wondering as well if one can mix a little of jipsum with the water? Thank you in advance for your reply. Best wishes.
I love all the medallions you use. In fact all your stamps are interesting! I may have missed your explanation, but what did you do to make your toilet paper book cover? Was that some oversized embossing folder? Was it kitchen towel? If you explained it, I haven’t come across it yet. I just subscribed this week and I’m enjoying your voice and watching what you come up with. Thank you for teaching us!!
These are awesome! I just love projects like this! I have LOADS of stencils and stamps and will give it a go! In your other video you mentioned using diluted PVA glue instead of just plain water during the spray down layers, does that work well? Were you meaning to say silicone stamps? I loads of those too lol. TYFS!! ❤️🦋💜
Thanks I hope you enjoy playing. I talk about the pva glue pages in the how I made the embossed toilet paper journal and no not slicone stamps the word was polymer lol :) xx
It doesnt matter about the ply seeing as you are adding layers on top of each other and I woudnt use any kind of heat to dry them as it may melt or distort your stamp :) xx
Veo todos tus tutorials y me gustan, pero hay cosas que no sé para sirven porque no entiendo el idioma. Sería muy complicado que pudieras los subtitulos también en español?

I tried on the back of an old glass bowl and it worked ok Using moulds is a different technique :) xx
This is gorgeous. Thank you so much.
Good day Lizelle from Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa loved this video of yours, very interested to try it myself, please make a video on how you cut out the flowers and that star shaped rubber stamp you did. Thank you have a great day.💐
Fabulous idea! Use a large panel on front of a card and very light print for a background on inside of card.
You will have to share pics on the FB group when you create yours 😉🌸
Wow This was great! ...keep calm and craft on... lol!
...good idea rotating the grain of the tissue
Thank you for sharing this with us love! xoxo
You are so welcome :) xx
I have a beautiful set of stamps a friend gave me that are hard. I think this would be lovely to try with them.
Great idea - thanks Carol 👍
You’re welcome 😊 xx

Thanks Rob and hope you had fun :) xx
Brilliant idea, Carol.
Thank you! 😊
I’m also curious to try adding dried plant bits or glitter between the layers ( for a homemade paper look). Can’t wait to see what you do with these!
Plants probably wouldnt work with this technique as you would break them up as you pound them with the brush but would work better with the embossing folders :)
Carol Tinson I meant dried plant bits so they’re already broken up pieces...I’m going to try it and see how it goes 🙂

Thank you Cass :) xx
Wow!!! I must have a go at this thank you ❤
Try mixing liquid laundry starch into the water before spraying to make them sturdier. That's what I use to make papier mache.
Carol! This is so awesome!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 Beautiful!!
Thank you so much :) xx
Brilliant idea! Can't wait to see how you use them in a journal. I have to give it a go.
Thanks Sandy - hope you had fun :) xx
Love this idea. You could also use an embossing folder for this technique. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful idea! It would be great to make some elements for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing Carol!!!😍❤
Youre welcome Lily :) xx
Fabulous idea! I love that it doesn't need glue!
Just water doesn’t always hold them together so a watered down glue in a spray bottle might help 😁🌸
What a great technique, 💕 xx
Thanks so much 😊 xx
This is beautiful! What a fun and interesting technique 💝 TFS Carol!
Happy Mindful Monday 💝

Great idea! Have you ever tried spray starch ...that you woukd use ironing clothes. I use it making paper flowers instead of water.

Thanks Sue 🌸
I have never seen this technique before. Amazing. X
It’s quite spectacular isn’t it 😁🌸
What fun! Thank you, Carol. I wonder if some kind of workable spray fixative could protect the surface.
Maybe? Only way to find out is to give it a go 😉🌸
Very cool. Great idea. Could you make a spray with diluted pva glue to spray on after so they don't separate?
Thanks Amy - I do mention at 7.44 and 11.40 the pva glue. Its up to you if you spray or paint it :) xx
This is gorgeous ... great idea!
Thank you! 😊 xx
That is the coolest thing I’ve seen in quite a while!!!😊🔆

Thanks I hope it works out ok for you :) xx
Another great tutorial, I’m loving these so much XX 🥰🌈💖
Thank you :) xx
Very cool. Can’t wait to see you use them. ❤️❤️
Thanks I cant wait to play with them lol
You could try using a rubber (or wood) roller to get the edges done without the brush falling off and tearing through the TP.
Thanks for the idea :) xx

I’m sorry I can’t as I purchased from a friend who was selling her stash and there was no packaging. Glad you enjoyed the video though 😊🌸
These are wonderful, Carol. The layers of the napkins that are usually discarded could also be used?
Yes you can - I used those too :) xx
Perfeitos
obrigado :) xx
Aurate Del justo sealer that they use for
4 beads
sorry I dont understand xx

Deborah Boman Thank you very much Deborah and welcome to the “gang” 😁 The bit you are looking for starts at approx 8.20 on the video 🌸 xx
Carol , lovely idea...do you think that instead of water, some watered-down PVA glue could be used to seal the layers?
Yes, absolutely :) xx
These are awesome! I just love projects like this! I have LOADS of stencils and stamps and will give it a go! Do you use two-ply toilet tissue? Can you dry the layers with a hair dryer to speed up the process?
It doesnt matter about the ply seeing as you are adding layers on top of each other and I woudnt use any kind of heat to dry them as it may melt or distort your stamp :) xx
🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍
Thanks :) xx
Instead of using plain water for the last few layers, can you just add the coffee or ink spray to the last wet layer or two?
You can do as you wish Kathy - its all about playing and experimenting :) xx
How would it work to use a very little bit of glue in the water?
It just helps to hold the papers together a bit more securely :) xx

Why not ad a bit of white glue to water as you go??
Thanks for the tip Susan xx
Why not earth gel gesso
You can try it and see what happens - some may be too heavy a medium :) xx
@KyungShotwell this is what I was tring to describe 😊
