Update 1/2024: while the information is relevant for adapting a used module with SPS I CANNOT recommend the company Flagship1. I average 2-4 calls a week from random people who purchased from them and in every case they LIED to them by either telling them the pcm would be plug and play or the pcm would not be programmed at all. They usually just play with your head on the phone for support regarding these issues. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!

I absolutely do NOT recommend flagship1 modules. I have an 80% failure rate out of the box or within several months from them, among other issues. They are a nightmare to deal with warranty. It got to the point if a person handed me a module from them. They had to pay me upfront before I would even leave to go to them. They have to sign a waiver that there is absolutely no warranty if that module is installed.

@cecilaizermudez1529 understands I'm a business. And 95 percent of the time I get new from the dealer. If I have too I will eBay it. But I can't offer a warranty on those.
There's programmer called Io terminal dose change the vin number and dose Cloning as well.

No way I could do this, but it is nice to know what all is involved in changing an ECM. I suppose there is some variation in the steps with different manufacturers?

I have a 17 subaru wrx my ecu got fried so we replaced the ecu with a new one oem my car is fine but my car is tuned i need a smog in California and when they plug in it doesn't show my vin number on my ecu do u have a video how to add vin on ecu?
Hey! If your new OEM ECU isn’t showing the VIN, you’ll likely need to program it to match your vehicle. While I don't have a specific video on that, I recommend looking for ECU programming tutorials or guides specific to Subaru

you cant he had it pre programmed from somewhere you have to program the eeprom .. it need to be pulled out the ecm its not that easy guy.
Hey brother, I am getting b3902-00 code, and seems like I got an used ecm on the car. No crank no start. Should I do the same process? also can you recommend a reasonable scanner to do this ? that scanner you have is kinda out of my price range
Change your crank sensor first or check your starter

So if I program the vin to a use ecm I can relearn the Inmo and the car start right up ?
No that won't work on global A, check the link in the description for my new videos and tools to get this done.
I took out A 3.0 Out of a 2010 srx And put in.2015 3.6 srx And my scanner comes up. Crank sensor don't recognize.
Yeah, sounds logical as most likely wiring/ software might be different 👍🏾

It never got programmed even if the vinnwas wrote youngotta use sps to learn immo for furst time. If not add key will not start car. Unless someone preprogrammed this.

Where did you get pcm? Did you scan for codes?
@@globalcommerce7654 i got the used ecm from auto ECM in grand Prarie tx.
Its similar/comparable to flagship 1.
The vin was correct, and the only 2 fault codes were the same two in your video.
I tried to relearn the key as you did here using autel im508 to get the car running as you did to then do the crank shaft position relearn.
After waiting the 10 minutes for the key to add it added the key. But the immobilizer code remained and it would not start. I of course tried erasing fault codes. And I tried the procedure twice just to see if many the first time it didn't go through right.
I even added an entirely new key. Which it also took the new key. But it would not start. And the same two codes remain.
With the keys programmed. I can turn them in the ignition and then force the starter over. And it runs and stays running.
But simply adding the keys as you did here is not getting rid of that immobilizer code. Any ideas? Any specifics about this particular job?
For example I notice you did a key add. Would doing an erase key procedure matter? It should it the same as far as my understanding when it comes to programming. But does the erase key procedure get rid of something vital for this to work? It's the only thing I did differently. I didn't just add key after. I did erase procedure. Which in return does the same thing but will also erase previously added keys.

I also wanted to be sure and clarify. When I say "force the starter over". I mean manually under the hood. Not with the key. Obviously that'd be a good thing if it actually did start with the key.
Edit: I did go ahead and try the crank shaft position relearn after forcing the starter over and it stayed running. However it would not complete the crank shaft position relearn while the immobilizer code is still active. And of course after turning off the key it would not turn back on(I hoped maybe it just needed to run a minute and clear fault codes but still no avail)

How did you write the vin number, because I'm able to program the key but not to write the vin in the other ecu
You would need some tool, like and subscribe and check my other videos, I show this in my latest videos.
You need to read ecu whit io terminal and editor chanche the vin no need cheksum

What kind of problems are you having at flagship ? I have a Cadillac with one of their plug play. I am curious due to a new issue.
How is that? I order a e39 ECM, they programmed it to my vin number and it works as it should as seen in the video, I have no complaints of the service they offered me. What are your issues?
Flagship has the worst customer service and 90 percent of the time vin won’t be correct. I don’t recommend them for any be out there

Fun Fact, Flagship buys their computers from wrecking yards, they put a bid on containers (also they have wrecking yards they work with) for example (not actual cost) one bin full of computers can cost them $1,000 usd and it can have 200 computers for example, and what they do is paint the computers and store them and of course they organize them. And when an order comes in for example for a 2015 chevy malibu, they do a bench programming, since they already purchased the equipment and programs now its free. So its a lie when they say its a reman computer lol, actually the reman part makes me laugh so hard, the general public thinks they have a lab to replace the electronics inside hahaha those computers dont get open haha look at their inventory, it’s mostly easy computers and the hard ones are call for price, theyre a joke, but they make money 😅
All of this is wrong because you overlooked a simple thing. They do not state they are remanufactured. They state they are refurbished.
