Use your live well pump as an emergency bilge pump for $10

I've started thinking about what I could do if my bilge pump died and I was taking on water. There are 7 water pumps in my rear bilge, there has to be some way to use one of them in case of an emergency. There is and I think I nailed it for about $10 in parts.

Great idea Mike. Consider a strainer end on the pick up tube?

I did Steve, and then realized the hull strainer for the seacock has 6" x 1/4" slots. Those pumps seem to handle the small stuff.
