- This is a long video where I show some of the different ways you can use the 3” x 3”, 16-section Tim Holtz double-sided pattern cardstock. This also can be created using any 12” x 12” double sided pattern paper or solid cardstock, as it’s just broken into rows and sections of 3” squares. Thank you for watching, I hope it gives you some useful ideas and happy creating.
Wow, why did it take youtube so long to put YOU in front of me? I love what you are creating. It is cutting edge. Thank you for sharing so many techniques.

Thank you for sharing , love your ideas and I began making some while watching you ❣️so thank ❣️
Thank you Maria and I hope you had fun!
So I have done it again! I got an order in the mail of Tim Holtz paper that was shown on a video. You are always my go to person so I am searching, searching and one of your videos is playing in the background. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how soothing your voice is, are you working with the paper I am looking for? No, but it is nice to listen to you as I search. I really appreciate your talent and your aesthetic. Thank you Cori!
What a very kind thing to say. Thank you Patty, and I hope you found the paper you were seeking 💕
Very great share. You are talented and everything is sooo lovely.

Hi, I just found you!

I just found your channel and have been trying to catch up. You are showing so many wonderful ideas for all those scraps and I am looking forward to going through all mine and just hope my little bits look as great as yours. So fun. I think I will pull out papers from my recycle bin too. LOL You never know what you can find in there. Thank you so much for all the inspiration.
Welcome Evans thank you. I’m not sure why using up s raps in different ways makes me happy, but it does. I love learning from and being inspired by others, so I try to pass that on.
Cori, what a wonderful collection of pockets, tucks, and ephemera! I have to include these in my idea journal. Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity.
Thank you Cheryl and gulp. I bet your idea book is getting full!
Very clever ideas! Can’t wait to make a few😊
Thank you Deborah and I hope you have fun creating them!
Thank you for showing me how that was done.
You are very welcome.

Wow, wow, WOW!!! So many ideas here! I'm going to have to watch this one several times to get all of the ideas straight in my head. Thank you so much for sharing all of these projects!
Thank you Chelsea. As you saw, they’re clearly not yet straight in my head 🤣
Wonderful use of scraps aswell. Xxx
Thank you Wendy. Me and my scraps... we definitely have a relationship 😊
Brand new to your channel…wood block with spots for your essential tools is genius! Subbed and thumbs way up!
Thank you Sarah and welcome!
Great way to use those pieces. Thank you❤️ I will be trying these!
Good thing I retired! I’m going to be busy crafting this week! My right brain is exploding! Lol! Thanks for sharing your genius!
Congratulations on being retired! I’m happy to hear that I’ve given you some ideas. Have fun!
You’re so inspiring. Thanks again for sharing your amazing brain with us❣️
Love you Sandy, and I'm always happy to share :)
I love the things you make from strips like the little clusters. I already have taken your strip tags as my preferred method too, it just makes sense to me. I try to work out why I like or dislike everything, and I think it is the straight edges and symmetry/asymmetry of your work that I admire. I’m still very new ( started in January ) to this world of paper, so I need to learn lots more. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Thank you Kathleen. The true beauty of this hobby is that it’s not spendy to learn and figure out what look and styles appeal to you. Have fun and I hope you enjoy the projects 😊
I love these so much. You inspired me and now I'm making them for the front of the cards I make. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
New to your channel, and oh ya I subscribed! 😁👍🏼. That was a blast, I grabbed my Tim Holtz paper pad and did these along side your video and that was so much fun! And I love the end results. ☺️👏🏼 Thank you very much for sharing this, now I have to check out more of your vids and see what other good ideas I get. 👍🏼👏🏼💕😁
Welcome Tracy! It’s great to have you create along side me and I hope you find other projects that inspire you!
Thanks for even more ideas, Cori. I often sew two or three of these individual squares together with a vertical muslin spine(s) and add paper to make a tiny booklet. I love all the pockets you’ve added. Wonderful ideas here!
Thank you Annie. I also love sewing fabric/Muslim spines. I need to do that more often!
@Simply Sandy In general, the goal of an idea book is to have a single reference point for the multitude of ideas we find on YT, Pinterest, and elsewhere because it’s easy to forget as we learn new techniques. Then you can refresh your memory and incorporate as many as you like into your current project/s. But there’s no wrong way to do junk journaling, so if you want to journal in your idea book, you can! 👍😊
Annie Fischer, subscribing now!
@@adrianaduff2740 thanks, Adriana! 😃♥️
More great projects to make
It was fun! I hope you enjoy it too.
Definitely a new subbie here. Marvelous ideas. 🤗
Thank you and welcome!
This was a fantastic tutorial. Very inspiring, so I am going to give it a go today. I am a new subscriber to your channel. TFS.
Thank you very much and welcome! I hope you have fun with the creating.
Awesome! Great work! ❤️
I’m playing catch-up today with your latest rash of videos, thank you!! 😘
Lol! I share in waves, for sure. Gotta love it when life and work cooperate 😊
Great idea! Thanks! 💕
Ty, this is stinking cute!!!
Awww, thank you.
I just LOVE watching you....I love your creative juices.
Thank you Caren... sometimes those ideas are like pickle juice and lemonade, but sometimes they work 😊
Great video Cori, thank you for that. Super ideas. Loved seeing your trays of goodies, could watch you shuffle through them for days. Thank you
Lol! Thank you Sandra. I seem to sort and add more trays all too often 😊
i love the fact two of my fave makers kinda talk back and forth to each other, its so cool . ok ok I don't get out much LOL. thanks for teaching me new things =)
Lol! I adore Gayle, no secret there. Thank you 😊
Great job!
Thank you, Cindy 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. I made these and thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday afternoon.
That is music to my ears. Thank you Cindy 😊
I love this video! You provided some great ideas. I like long videos. Thank-You 🌸
Thank you Bonnie 😊
I cant think of when I enjoyed a tutorial and learned so much more, Thank you!
What a sweet thing to say. Thank you for brightening my day!
Thank you SO much for this video, Cori - I have been hoarding these TH papers forever! Now I know how to use them to make great stuff!
TH is so easy to hoard, right? Have fun using them and happy creating!
@@CoriDahmen Absolutely! We won't go into how MUCH TH I have "in stock!" LOL
I am so glad I found you! I enjoy your video style, and I love these wonderful journal bits. Thank you for sharing 🎈
I legit didn't like the square sold color pages I had in a pack I got but these matchbooks are really perfect for them. Thanks for this tut!
LOL! Amen. Along with the great stuff we often get some "what the heck?" pieces. Glad you found a way to use them.
How flippin clever. I really like these. Does make one wonder what Timmy is thinking by discontinuing the 12 x 12s?!
Thank you Robin and I know, right?! I was hoping for. MORE 12 x 12 styles from him.
I just ordered a couple of these in different styles from Amazon so they're still available, I guess he's just not coming out with any new ones?
So love this!! This is going to be one of my retreat projects for sure! Each piece is just awesome! Thanks so much for sharing these, Cori! Love and big hugs, my friend! 🤗❤️
Lol! Your retreat bins are getting full 😊 should I tell you that I’m pondering projects for the 12 and 4 section cardstock sheets too? Your retreat is going to be fabulous and I know you’ll have a laughter, fun and joyfully filled adventure. Love you, my sweet friend 💕😊
Thanks so much for taking your valuable time to make this informative video. I loved it and think you are brilliant!
You are too kind. And, I’m telling my kids that someone thinks I’m brilliant (they aren’t buying it 🤣) Thank you 😊
Thanks for the awesome ideas. I have three Tim Holtz 12X12 pads, I figure by the time I finish using them Tim will release the 12X12s again???? Just putting this out in the atmosphere 😉🤣
I love that idea! I’m a bit concerned at the idea of not having that user-friendly, wonderful paper readily available.
Great video today. I love making so much from one sheet. Goofs are awesome!
LOL! Well, if you're looking for goofs, you've come to the right place! Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much for the quick demo on the glaze ... I think I was running into trouble because my glaze is old and was clumping and not leveling out ... I do so appreciate your input. And I made all four of these sweet projects right along with your video .., fabulous! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
You’re welcome Lillian and though Diamond Glaze and Glossy Accents and all similar products have much in common, I’ve consistently had the best luck with the Nuvo product.
I love these! I always struggled trying to use these, now I know how! Brilliant! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Shirley! Coming up with different ways to use them has been a fun challenge.
I continue to enjoy your videos and all that you create! You are amazing! Tyfs!
Thank you Barbara 💕
Thank you Cori. You instructions are clear and complete. Will be making a go at these today☺.
Have fun with them Bonnie!
You are Amazing!💋
Thank you. To be fair, TH makes some really user-friendly stuff 😊
These are genius!!! Well, actually, you're the genius!!! TFS
Lol! Thank you 😊
This is brilliant, Cori! I always struggled with how to use these! So smart! I actually gave away
these sheets because I was stumped! Thank you for sharing this! Those tiny clusters are fantastic!!!
Thank you Colleen. These are just a few, straight forward ideas. Those squares can be challenging.
Just fabulous Cori! Thankyou so much! 😊❤️🇦🇺xxx
Thank you Jan 😊
Thank you for doing this video, I have so many of those squares.
You’re welcome and I hope you found some ideas that work for you 😊
I have this sheet and wondered what to do wit it! Now I know...! Thanks for your creative inspiration!
You’re welcome and have fun!
Love it.
Oh, Cori, what a great collection of goodies! I love to hear you thinking out loud because this gives me insight into your decision making. I appreciate that you have those moments when you call yourself a dingbat because my crafting time also includes those moments (about me, not you 😘). Thank you for sharing all of these! 😀💞
Lol! The longer the video, the more dingbat moments I have. I’m glad you’re enjoyed it 😊
Amazing as always!!! Thank you Cori.
Thank you Noelle 😊
This was great! loved it!!!
Thank you Hope 😊
Such great use of these hard to figure out what to do pages. I have no doubt I won’t be alone watching this video often as I make these again and again. Just ordered some more of this paper from Timmy. So disappointed he’s not keeping it in his line of products.
Thank you Jamie, I’m glad you like the ideas. Darn Tim... I do not need to buy and hoard more paper, but it’s becoming a necessity!
@@CoriDahmen I agree. My husband got a notification about my purchase and said why would you ever need 4 of the same set of papers.
@@JamieLOVEUMOREJOURNALS silly man (mine too...) if they only knew 😊
Very cool projects Cori! Even if I don't have those papers I can use whatever I have!
That’s the goal. The ideas should work with any cardstock and most double sided paper.
Love this video, do you think at some point you could show us how to make that awesome butterfly specimen , it was my favorite !?
Thank you Linda! Sure, I can show that 😊
Did you read my mind, Cori? I spent a lot of time yesterday searching for ideas on using those smaller pieces at the back of Tim Holtz 12 x 12 pads - with no luck! These are fantastic!
Lol! I must have. All three of those darn segregated papers have been calling to me!
Thanks!!!
You’re welcome 😊
❤❤❤❤❤
I’m late to this party. I have a Tupperware bin full of slimtrim scraps that make my sewing machine cringe. I was raised by a Rosy The Rivertor real Depression Survivor Grandma that swears never tries away a thing! Even string!!!
So now I know what to do with this. Just need to get 16 cats and I’ll be all tucked. Where did you get the ink pad box holder??
Lol! I do toss some things... but not the things that need saving. I make the ink boxes... I’m almost out now, but I’ve got more (1, 2 and 3 hole styles) about ready to list. Etsy.com/shop/CreatingWithScraps
🖤
Have so loved the creating with scraps series Cori, thank you. I'm just sitting down with my TH 12x12 card stock and plan to get really busy. I'm also now officially addicted to Tracie's labels and the Nuvo crystal glaze :)
That just makes me happy to see. Have a great time and happy creating~!
😊🎉❤😅
Great projects but my comment is more to find out about your tool holder. What a great way to keep track of things that I constantly lose. Did you make it and can I see it full view?
Yes, I made it and I have a video explaining my process in the middle of the flips, flaps and folds series. I wish I had time to go back and make single-serving videos with titles such as "making an ink box", "curling a paper clip", etc. Maybe in the future! I also sell the ink boxes in my Etsy, etsy.com/shop/CreatingWithScraps if you don't have access to power tools.
I LOVE your videos! By any chance, did you make your divided trays or buy them. I’ve been making due with the plastic containers that apples are packed in at Costco. Square sections would be so much better than round.
❤️ Shirley
My latest, wooden ones, I got from a PNW craft store called Craft Warehouse. They are the perfect solution for me.
the itty bitty flower you have at 53:07 is that a punch or a tiny paper flower?
That is a small flower punch that I punched, then dumped in coffee before using.
I LOVE when you make tiny things, Cori! So I want to know what size or name that tiny hole punch is so I can find one. Also, what is the name of the wipes you mentioned that get glue off your scissors? Thanks for another great bunch of ideas, Cori!!
Hi Carrie! I’ve had that hole punch for probably 20 years. I bought it at an actual Scrapbook store and I’m sorry, but I’ve no idea of the name. I use adhesive remover squares (think wet wipes in the individual packages) to remove built up glue. I get them from a friend but I understand they’re available on Amazon. Undo on a paper towel works well too.
Great video! What can you write on the tiny tags?
Thank you Linda! I'll often write or stamp a word, an inspiration or a small quote. Just something that triggers a thought or a memory.
Hi. Newbie here. Your tutorial is great. So easy to understand although I’m gonna have to write this one down lol. I do have a question. Hope you don’t mind. Glue? My kingdom for the right glue! I see a lot of you talented ladies with those nifty fine tipped glue bottles. I have to get my glue bottle in a headlock with its generic twist up nozzle. Please can I ask where you got it and what glue you’re using? It’s white so here in Australia that’s called PVA glue but it’s normally slippery and takes a bit to dry so I’m assuming you’ve mixed it with something else. Nosey much? Haha sorry. But glue seems to be my stumbling block 🤷♀️💖
Hello Leanne and welcome. Glue is a continual challenge for many and I have found that different climates require different types of glue. I'm in the Pacific North Wet and my current favorite wet/white glue is Gorilla. I put it in a fine tipped bottle I got on Amazon and I use a knitting needle cap for the tip (the pin works, but it makes me a crazy person). PVA glue is the same color, but is quite a bit different and is not my favorite to use. I've heard good things about Bearly There, and Art Glitter Glue is always a favorite for many. I wish there was an easy answer!
@@CoriDahmen Thankyou so much for replying. I really appreciate it 😍 who would have thought glue could be so complicated 🤷♀️
@@CoriDahmen thankyou so much for taking the time to reply I really appreciate it. Sorry I took so long to respond. I’m on a contract atm 10 hours a day, 6 days a week sigh. I can’t wait to get back to the important stuff haha
Sorry if someone already asked but if the fiskars punches come in different sizes, what size are you using?
I’ve only seen them in that size, but I believe they’re roughly 2” x 3”.
awesome... but, what is "squirrel"??
Squirrel as a noun is just the critter. But squirrel as a verb is a whole 'nother thing 😊 It basically means beginning in one direction then heading off on a tangent. Changing directions completely, or at an angle or even slightly. Going a way other than what you had planned or intended. I squirrel. A lot.
@@CoriDahmen thank you so much for your reply!!! It totally makes sense to me now!! God bless you in the New Year. Thanks for sharing your talents and knowledge with all of us!!! BTW... now that I know the verb meaning of SQUIRREL, that totally describes... ME!!!
I loved that you didn't know how to pause your camera...no teenager kids handy is my guess...lol
Lol! You are so correct! My youngest just turned 26! One goal for the summer break is to learn about video editing. Lord knows, it’s much needed!
Nice ideas but hard to follow this one☺️
I'm sorry Annette. Some are n=more detailed than others. Please, don't hesitate to ask, slow down or pause if you have a question. I'll do my best to answer it!
Thank you so much for sharing all your awesome ideas!! You are truly inspiring! :)
Thank you Juanita 💕
SO DARN CUTE!!! I am working on a mini book right now and am going to make the matchbook (it’s a book for my friends grandkids) and have her grandkids each sign a page and write their age…what a great memory!
That is a fantastic idea. I'm sure she will love it!
Take what you like and copy on the printer!!!🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️✌️✌️✌️🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️
Good plan!
@@CoriDahmen I always had to buy 2 of every pad! That is a lot of money! You can’t get 12 X 12 but I can manage and I have! 🙋♀️✌️🙏👍♥️
So many paper trimmers in this episode, including the first one shown that I'd never seen before! Cori, would you consider doing an episode on them? Which works best, do you need more than one kind, etc? I only have a memory keepers kind with the tiny replaceable blade that I don't know how to replace/where to get the part, and it makes ragged edges on my cuts, so I only use it for the score board. Would love to have an affordable paper trimmer, as the old-fashioned guillotine kind that actually works is way too expensive, plus no room for something like that! Would love to see a video with recommendations ❤️❤️❤️
Can I also ask, what kind of circle punch do you have? I tried googling them, and they are so expensive I want to make sure I get a good one. Recommendations? Thank you ❤️
That is a loaded question! There are so many types and styles of paper trimmers, in a huge price range. I've been asked to do a video about my non-consumable "must-haves" and a trimmer or two falls into that category. Lord knows, I've tried them all in the last 25 years. I'll add that to my video list :)
These are so cute! Looking forward to making these as I’m always looking for a good variety of tuck spots, etc. 💗
Thank you Janet. Welcome and have fun 😊
Thank you, Cori, I’m rapidly filling my cigar box with little finished pieces, so they can go in my junky journal. I truly enjoy learning how to make these little goodies from you. An excellent instructor, indeed. Have a wonderful Easter weekend. Hubby and I get to watch the 3 and 13mo. old enjoy pagan Easter bunny fun.
Such a shame it's being discontinued but I'm sure there'll be something cool to replace it. Loving the longer video! I don't mind just hearing the sewing machine lol a little like the ASMR that Barbara (49 dragonflies) is doing. Your instructions are always concise (lol, ok ONE mistake) and so easy to follow, you haven't made anything I don't love!💖
Awwww. Thank you. It took over 4 hours to upload this hour-long video, so I don’t know how often I’ll be doing these. But, this was a lot of fun to do.
