Love Waterstones, I miss that shop and the cheap prices (books are so expensive over here). I once went posh and ordered a box of wine from the Sunday Times Wine Club and the delivery driver just chucked the box over our 6 foot gate. STWC we’re really good and sent a whole new box even though only 2 bottles were broken. It said on the box fragile and what was in it and he still chucked it. Loving this it’s giving me so many ideas which hopefully won’t overwhelm me
Hi Selina ☺️ the replacement books arrived within 24 hours, they are fabulous😁 What a numpty chucking it over the fence😼 Sounds like the wine club have great customer service too 😁 I'm very lucky that the local drivers here are great. Thanks for watching love☺️🤗💜
Scrapbookingwithme sells the cradel as well. I love listening to you. You do brighten up my day. Thank you for all your knowledge that you share with us.
My friend and I have time numbers 12:34, 1:23, 1:11, 4:44, etc. Our birthdays in time 7:30, 10:10. Like replying to this comment I just missed 4:32. Silly but meaningful. I apologize for jumping in on your comment 😊.
Hi Julie. How's the crochet going? Unpicked 5 rows of my Sue's crochet this week and I kept thinking of you. Had a good giggle about your Royal Mail comment about the state of your parcel. You are lucky. Our parcels just never arrive here in South Africa. The up side of that is that we don't get junk mail or accounts either 😂😂😂
Hi Sandy, I haven't done any more yet as my crafty mojo came back😁 I will though. I envy your lack of junk mail, I could make a journal a week out of what we get here, especially as there will be an election this year🤗💜
Hello Julie! I absolutely adore you & your junk journals! ( & everything else you make) You are so wonderfully amusing & endlessly talented & I’m always inspired to try new things after watching your channel! I’ve made a separate “Bookmark” folder labeled “ Camelia Crafts” so that I can instantly access your videos when I need a quick hit of happiness. Thank you so, SO much for sharing your ideas & your enthusiasm with all of us all over the world. What you share is truly a gift & so very much appreciated! Wheeee!! 😃🦄🌺🌼🌸🦄😃
Julie..ya killin' me talking about Nellie Olsen!! And sounds like the USPS here in USA I love your videos..thanks so much for sharing!! XO from NE Texas
I want to watch Little house now Paula, have a gander at what our little Nellie is up to😁Just waiting on the replacement which is arriving today, hope the it isn't another empty carton. Can't imagine anyone wanter another two obscure japanese anime novels🤗💜
I thought the same thing!! Nellie Olsen…that was a blast from the past! I used to see an outside, maybe passion play, of Little House on the Prairie in South Dakota, USA!
You are so funny! Loved watching you, such beautiful ephemera you make, I am definitely going to watch your other videos! Hope the second package is actually a package and not a bag of bits! 😆🤗
Absolutely love the journals. 🎉❤🎉 i love your videos. Sometimes i am a little late to the party...lol...but i dont miss a one. You crack me up . I talk to myself like you do, sometimes worse. I can get pretty mean to me. 😮😂😂 thanks for teaching us new ideas and giving us smiles and laughter. You are such a joy. The packaging story...what a hoot! Glad the bookstore s being kind enough to replace your order. 😊 take care of yourself and stay safe. ❤️ 🌞🌞🌞
Don't think i've ever been on time to a party in my life Alice😁 so i won't hold that against you love. So glad you enjoy the crazy, thanks Alice🤗💜 ps the books arrived yay😁🥳
I don't understand filling a journal before it's sewn in - I think it would make the sewing quite difficult and thick. I prefer doing it the other way around. But that's just my preference. Love your videos.
To be honest i do it both ways, it all depends on what mood i'm in, but i agree it's often easier to decorate after the journal is made. sometimes i don't have the attention span for a full journal, but love making the ephemera pieces. I'm busy mass making a load of journals i'll be putting together before decorating☺️🤗💜
Thank you for all the great videos you're making and for sharing your beautiful creations, I really enjoy watching them🌻 Don't know if anybody already said this, but the paper at 11.25 is from Denmark. There's a calendar, the big writing is an invitation to visit the City Archive and its address, opening hours, and phone number. The big chunk of text is about some kind of "shooter brotherhood" (in lack of better terms). Never heard of them before, but googled and turns out they still exist as a yearly tradition in Horsens, even to the extend the Danish royalty shows up to their yearly "bird shooting", which is basically just they shoot at some wooden bird-board and compete, as far as I could understand, and then they win prizes (at least so it is now). Lunden is the location where they compete. Hope it helps🙂
Is the shooter brotherhood a schutzverein? I don't know if I spelled that right, but in the German-settled parts of Texas there are shooting clubs from the mid to late 1800's called that.
I hope your journal is finished now, 8 months on...oh wait i've been making 8 journals since last year😘 thanks for always taking time to comment Kathy love. Now you're a member i can see all your comments right back to here. Prepare for more waffle😁🤗💜
Wow Julie. I really am amazed at how much ephemera you have ready made and absolutely beautiful. I also love all of your chatter. 💖 You can make me laugh even on a bad day. 😂 Val Australia.
I *JUST* commented on another video about you giving me anxiety and palpitations because you were using a knife to (very badly) get the back off a sticker. You responded it was dull, and you were being very careful. So now what do you do?? Stab yourself with a needle!!! Maybe you should have used that Bearly Arts Glue to stop the bleeding 😂😂 Ahhhh, sorry. I was laughing with you. Not at you 😃 You crack me up. Thanks for the laughs. I needed them today. Although I'm very sad I missed your closing act because the camera operator pushed the wrong button 😘
It's lovely to hear a local accent alongside incredible talent Julie. Let us know when your shop is open again as I need some more of the lovely envelope packs Big hugs .
I have been a subscriber for quite some time and truly like your style, I am a Geordie living in Canada now and love to hear your accent makes it feel more at home. I have progressed from making junk journals, then paper beads, then on to Cards, and then onto Mini Album, then onto embellishment which I really do enjoy. However, most of my friends just aren't crafty folk and so I am at a loss as to what to do with all that I have accumulated over time. I am not going to stop crafting as it is my "me" space, I have gone down the RAK road, but that can get quite expensive with the postage, I can't imagine how to explain to friends what to do with the tags, hidden pockets, journal cards, etc, Any ideas, I did have over 20 Penpals before Covid, and now only one still corresponds anymore. Any ideas for sharing?? Love to hear from other crafters if they have the same issues and how they share their crafts.
Thanks lovely☺️ i think the only thing left for you to do is sell them. I know exactly what you mean about the expense though. I'd love to give away all i make just to get more room, but the postage is a killer. I have a list of people i want to send things to, but can only afford to send a couple a month. But then selling them is a job in itself. You need to promote your items to people willing to buy. If you don't have a social media presense i would say Etsy is your best. Hope that helps love🤗💜
Great ideas. And I am so relieved that I'm not the only one that messes up some times. I love your channel and I appreciate you so much you are so much fun and not only that you make wonderful junk journals and ephemera
Just gorgeous Julie!! Sorry you didn’t get the stitching filmed cause it’s so fun to hear your wisecracks. That’s Right up there with watching you craft. Lol
As always, you inspire me, Julie. I've watched the videos of you making these and still they stun on their second appearance! 💙💙 And fyi... your "you know nothing, Jon snow" kills me every time😅😅😅😅
Thank you so much Michelle🤗 i have a jon Sno Funko pop and i randomly point and shout 'You know nothng Jon Sno' scares the kids to death🤣😅 then they often point out i was talking to Daryl and his dawg and not Jon🤣😅😂🤗💜
Lovely. Enjoyed watching you making the ephemera and loved watching you use it. I still use Tatty T(r😂)eddy stamps and toppers when i make birthday cards...he's a cutie! TFS ❤
Another great video. Thanks ever so much Julie. You are truly inspirational. Love your videos so much. Sorry to have missed your gags lol but you still made me smile as usual. Never change. 💖 54:48
Haha! I have a postie that insists on taking foot photos too 😅 I'm so glad to have stumbled across your video, I've subscribed now because I love your art style and your commentary reminds me of home! (I'm originally from East Lancashire) ❤
Love it! For some reason, I've been making a lot of tags recently - then, I realised that I wasn't sure what to do with them. And on top of that, I now know why I can't find anything. 😊
hello camelia...love your ephemera and of course your journals... I´m from austria, so the calendar is not from germany...I thought it had to be swedish, according to google it is from denmark...great piece in any case 😍
Hi Julie. I love you and your videos. I love to sit and listen to you waffling on ... We think a lot alike. 🤭 I have a question. Which corner rounding tool do you prefer? I need something with variety, and that will chomp through a few layers.💚🤗🫶😺Thanks
Thanks Candis😊ooo my favourite corner rounder is the grey one i use amzn.to/43nX1Fw A good one for chipboard and multiple sheets is the WRMemory keepers one amzn.to/3q3DX1g however i dropped and broke my WRMK one, but i have recently learned they may be able to help me. hope that helps love🤗💜
Yeah.... i found the tim holtz playlist... and watched quite a few... it looks so good, when you use all the same... Im so happy , I got wallflowers and memorandum, found them both... Ill be ready for everything Tim!! I cant wait to start one of these... but I made myself promise I would finish up unfinished projects first.. hahahahah....
You are being very sensible love. i've been sorting through stuff and i have a huge box of unfinished stuff. some i will finish as i intended and some i will repurpose for other new projects, but like you i need to finish the unfinished. i have two part made covers from the first video where i had one made up in every stage already dry, so i'm starting with those and getting two more journals finished☺️🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I hadtocome back and watch this one again... oh yes, I have to , or i will be under too much mess, my head cant handle all the unfinished projects... bummer, its summer and shop time, winter I do journals... summer i do furniture... so Im building my stash but good... wheeeeeee!!
Put them out of sight love😘 downside to that is my cupboards are all full😅 oooo furniture sounds interesting. I've been going to paint a chest of drawers i have with chalk paint for so long that it's gone in and out of fashion a few times since the original idea☺️🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Ok, this is it, Im gonna email you...:)) Yes, Love, get that chalk paint out... its easy peasy... foolproof... 🤣🤣💗 You are so right, I had to hide them... in the back of the bookcase.. so I dont cut into them.. LOL!!!
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns and my little misti showed up today... I couldnt afford the biggest one, but this one is ok ... havent even tried it yet.. I put it back in the box... and tucked it away.... 🤣🤣
Oooooolala 🥰 I started drooling so much seeing those overflowing bins of your fab ephemera I had to put my bib on 😜 Really enjoyed watching you, Julie, find forever homes for so many pieces in these journals 💕💕 The Nosie Rosie in me will always wonder what good jokes you cracked when the camera went off 😂😂 Take care ~ Blessings 🌷🌷🌷
I can just imagine that Deb😅 Arghh i was so angry that i'd done that. Now i know how to chop videos up i will do the zooming and pausing in the editing app. Can't remember the jokes from the bit that went up now, i've had a sleep since then😘🤗💜
Hi Julie!! 💕🌸💕 I was on the edge of my seat when I saw you only had 3 mins to sew in the signature! 😅 I was like wow! she can do it in less than 3 mins and have time to say good bye? A true pro! and then we learned that it didn’t record. 😂
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns it’s okay my dear. It wasn’t a mess. Thank you for linking a previous video and there will be other opportunities, I’m sure. Love watching you craft sweetie. 🥰
As always, I enjoyed this video so much!! These journals are spectacular! I just love your work! Also, love your great sense of humor! (sorry that we missed the jokes you made when the camera shut itself off!) Thank you for sharing. ❤
Hey Julie! I wanted to tell you that I have enjoyed watching your videos. I haven't started a journal yet, but I have a ton of ideas thanks to you. You are a hot mess! I guess your "style" is like mine because I love your stuff. Talk away, Girl. You're like having the neighbor over to craft. I've subscribed and look forward to binge watching all your videos. Sending my very best from South Eastern Oklahoma, USA.😊
These are awesome!! Fabulous journals that would sell in seconds after you put them up! But I’m sure the others you are making are just as amazing!! 🤗❤️❤️
I about lost it with your story about the damaged "package"! I know you're not Scottish and don't have a Scottish accent. But when you said "winky wonky" it reminded me so much of The Scottish Granny who reads to her granddaughter and can hardly read because she's laughing so hard. If you've never seen it, it will give you a great laugh! Her channel is The Scottish Granny, and the video is called The Wonky Donkey. 😂😂😂
Cheers Mrs ☺️i rekon that's where i got the winky wonky from you know. My mum used to say wonky as a donkeys hind leg when something was crooked and i often say it on my videos which then makes me think of the scottish Granny, she's fabulous🤗💜

Thank you so much Michelle🤗 i have a jon Sno Funko pop and i randomly point and shout 'You know nothng Jon Sno'
scares the kids to death🤣😅 then they often point out i was talking to Daryl and his dawg and not Jon🤣😅😂🤗💜

It's a thing apparently😅
Welcome to the channel love☺️🤗💜
Love it! For some reason, I've been making a lot of tags recently - then, I realised that I wasn't sure what to do with them. And on top of that, I now know why I can't find anything. 😊
Thanks Lilly☺️ i need more tags, i must make a few. Top tip to find things, NEVER tidy up😅😘🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns 🤣🧡💚🤎
hello camelia...love your ephemera and of course your journals...
Just love your style of junk journals, so beautiful, very inspiring.
Thank you so much Debbie ☺️🤗💜
Love how it’s coming together! Your collection of ephemera makes my eyes wide open ❤
Thank you so much Marty☺️🤗💜
Yeah.... i found the tim holtz playlist... and watched quite a few... it looks so good, when you use all the same...
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns
Ok, this is it, Im gonna email you...:))
Yes, Love, get that chalk paint out...
its easy peasy... foolproof... 🤣🤣💗
You are so right, I had to hide them... in the back of the bookcase.. so I dont cut into them.. LOL!!!
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns and my little misti showed up today... I couldnt afford the biggest one, but this one is ok ... havent even tried it yet.. I put it back in the box... and tucked it away.... 🤣🤣
Love these journals! Love all of your pre-made ephemera. Need my own box of “bits and bobs”. ❤
You can't beat a box of bits and bobs Debbie, thanks love ☺️🤗💜
Oooooolala 🥰 I started drooling so much seeing those overflowing bins of your fab ephemera I had to put my bib on 😜 Really enjoyed watching you, Julie, find forever homes for so many pieces in these journals 💕💕
The Nosie Rosie in me will always wonder what good jokes you cracked when the camera went off 😂😂
Take care ~ Blessings 🌷🌷🌷
I can just imagine that Deb😅 Arghh i was so angry that i'd done that. Now i know how to chop videos up i will do the zooming and pausing in the editing app.
Can't remember the jokes from the bit that went up now, i've had a sleep since then😘🤗💜
Hi Julie!! 💕🌸💕 I was on the edge of my seat when I saw you only had 3 mins to sew in the signature! 😅 I was like wow! she can do it in less than 3 mins and have time to say good bye? A true pro! and then we learned that it didn’t record. 😂
Thanks Sylvia😊i know it was a mess and i didn't even think to unthread it and film it again with the camera switched on😐🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns it’s okay my dear. It wasn’t a mess. Thank you for linking a previous video and there will be other opportunities, I’m sure. Love watching you craft sweetie. 🥰
Thanks love☺️🤗💜
As always, I enjoyed this video so much!! These journals are spectacular! I just love your work! Also, love your great sense of humor! (sorry that we missed the jokes you made when the camera shut itself off!) Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thanks Michele ☺️
I was gutted that I did that, I'm never zooming again😅🤗💜

Hi Gail, welcome to the channel love🤗 so glad you're enjoying the videos. I couldn't stop talking if i tried 😘🤗💜
These are awesome!! Fabulous journals that would sell in seconds after you put them up! But I’m sure the others you are making are just as amazing!! 🤗❤️❤️
I'm intending to get two more made as i have the ephemera and two more covers started from doing the cover video Blue Peter style. thanks love☺️🤗💜
Thank you for all the tips!!!
Beautiful!!!
Very inspirational,
Thanks lovely☺️🤗💜
Awesome job, I love these. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Robin☺️🤗💜
So beautiful work! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks Gaby, you're welcome love 😊🤗💜
Nice things as always. 😃
Thanks Robin☺️🤗💜
