In relation to Tip 4 - you actually can adjust the points on the star tool. To do so, hold only the cmd/ctrl key and move the cursor closer or further to the centre of the shape! Hope that helps everyone! Great video as usual!
I was about to comment the same thing! When he said there's no easy way to adjust the size of the points, my first thought was "Brother, have I got a shortcut for you..."
@5:45 There is a quick way to change the spike size. You hold alt and change the size of the whole object. - Hold CTRL on windows instead and move the cursor towards or outwards the shape to change the spike size quickly.
Using calculations in field boxes is one of my favorite features in Adobe products. It seems nuanced, but there is some serious utility in there when you think about it.
Somebody probably already said this. At 5:45 you said there's no quick way to adjust the size of the spikes on the spire, but there is. Hold down Control, Option, or Command while moving the mouse around for some different moderations.
Just a correction your point where you mentioned @5:47, you can actually adjust the spikes on the star by holding down the command key while not letting go of the mouse button. As you drag the mouse in and out you'll notice you can increase / decrease the protrusion of the spikes.
Some additional tips: - if you want to align objects to each other: just select all the objects you want to align and click the object you want to align to. This one gets extra highlighted. - make sure that your items in the mask are C100 M100 Y100 K100. Otherwise colored objects won't be fully transparant. - and to save you some time with saving big files: uncheck the box 'Create PDF compatible file' when saving.
Thanks man. The first tip I've shown in maybe 2 videos in the past. The second tip I have never spoke of, thanks! And the last one I have spoken of once before a while back. Much appreciate :)
I didn't know what the flatten transparency menu was for. Thanks. I would be interested to know how to deal with transparencies when a document is intended for print (how to prepare your work before sending it for printing) as I have read there might problems...
Awesome tips🙂🙂🙂.......now i am waiting for color theory and color trends nowdays hope you make video on these topics🙂☺️........thank you for sharing these tips ^_^
Can u make tutorial on how to redraw/trace tips and tricks ?I am always having trouble with tracing where to start ...and also tutorial about shadow ..
tip2: shades and tints are not a new color harmony Tip3: Creating a transparent object like that will have issues in printing and editability. You should expand the shape so all the points hidden by the mask are not being drawn by the computer and still retain the textured graphic of your logo
Great job. I have been following your work for a long time and found a lot of useful things for myself. Now I have also created my own channel and am trying to shoot a video with my work. Good luck, health and God's blessings.
Hello. Is there any way to turn off the speech bubbles on this video. I fully get your reasons for doing for those viewers that don't have English as a primary language. I find it really distracting on the videos and it's impacting on some of points in view in some of your messages. Just a heads up. New to your channel, thanks for all the lessons I'm learning. 👍
Always such great tips. Thanks. I learn something all the time. Here is a small one for you (now I can return the favor)...check your "Tip#01" slide copy. =)
If it wasn't for you I'd quit trying, this is the dumbest of all interfaces, it's like aliens made it after overhearing a conversation where somebody talks about a bad interface - and that's all they had to go off of
