Not Necessary if just replacing the glass, there's another youtube for that. Glass is available online without the housing.
This is a fantastic video. I Knocked off someone's wing mirror so I got them a new one and fitted it for them as well thanks to this video

I’ve just had the mirror kicked off of my Golf by some imbecile yobs, so I’ve gotta replace the whole thing. Great vid, and looks easy to do. Luckily I’m handy with spanner’s etc, so should be fine.

Hello what to do when the T30 screws will fall into the door? :( Can i get them back ??
You'd probably have to take the door apart to recover them if they've dropped all the way to the bottom of the door. Unless they're interfering with any of the window or lock mechanisms, you might just have to replace the screws.

Hey there, thanks for the very helpful video, I had to replace my MK5 driver side mirror, but the 3 screws were rusted and snapped - do you know what type of screws are the 3 "hidden" ones that go behind the tweeter? Any detail/dimension might help, thanks!
