      I'd like to think the same, but how would you keep a small footprint if you have many velocity layers (which contribute to add realism to the whole thing)?

    Not sure what amazed me most, the AMAZING sound of this piano or that someone actually said "meh" in the comments.

    I must compliment the presenter on his piano playing techniques. He is extremely well versed in the piano and his piano playing skills are almost flawless... almost. This is a nicely done product demonstration with a good general and overall walkthrough of the features that are inherent to the product being sold. I don't have the money to spare or I'd invest in this.
    The narrative was good, but there were parts when his narration was drowned out a bit with his playing. As a strictly amateur pianist myself, and completely self-taught I can tell you that talking and playing piano at the same time is exceptionally difficult to do, and do well. He's a very good presenter. But it might have been more beneficial to do his piano recordings first and narrative second, or vice versa so that he can provide a smoother delivery of his narrative descriptions. But it is still far better than most wannabe presenter demonstrations I've seen. It's clean and well thought. The context is clear and the explanations give very clear information without going too far into tiny and unnecessary nuances that only waste time.

    This is the only recent sample library where there is a real demo of triple Forte. There were other pianos that had a wider soundstage that I liked, but this trumps the rest with no his, smaller space footprint, and a real triple Forte. I have piano in blue, and I just may get this as an upgrade

    7:13 if these true shorts allow for legit staccato playing then that's a potential game changer, especially since it hasn't really been done before through Kontakt. Only piano that I know of that really has true staccato is Ravenscroft 275 by VI Labs and they use UVI. I'd like to hear demos of this piano showcasing more staccato playing. If you can do that before the 4/11 then I may be spend the money on this nice sounding piano. It has a lot of character and seems like it's versatile.

    How many velocity layers are there? I hope its not the same as PIB. As great as PIB is, you really lose a lot of expressiveness by only having 8 layers per key.

  • @NickyBendix

    Does the intimate/natural/agressive settings mean that you can not go from the most intimate to the most agressive in a natural live recording session, like you can on a real piano, without having to toggle the switch?

    This pedal behavior was implemented in NI pianos and the older Galaxy pianos, called Repedalling.

    I think it sounds great - and esPECially for the sale price I'm seeing now (Dec2022). My only regret is that even the 'Close' mic contains a lot of room ambiance. For a lot of non-classical/non-cinematic uses, a much drier signal is desirable. I'm actually pretty bummed about this, since I otherwise love this instrument.

    • @damiangonzalez_esp
      @damiangonzalez_esp 4 года назад

      ...well, both are possible, keys are not just the piece of wood you see, they are complex mechanisms, one of the pieces can be broken if you press too hard.

    • @JorisHoltackers
      @JorisHoltackers 4 года назад +1

      @@damiangonzalez_esp Yes, I'm aware of that since I had a good course about how pianos are built when I studied, but still breaking a string might usually be more lightly with fortisissimo attacks
