Hello! I didn't even realize it was your video until I sent it to a friend and saw who it was by. Nice video. That side by side comparison was really good
Now just Imagine what the game will look like in version 0.37! It will probably be a 100 times better, after 2-3 more years we will look at 0.27 and think: "Man, how was I ever able to play this game with so many features not implemented." which is what I think now when I look at 0.21. This is going to be the ultimate car game ever.
Recently, I fell in love with BeamNG so much that I bought it in steam (my parents bought it for me), played and wrote a huge list of improvements that I and many other players would certainly like to see. I divided the entire list into detailed categories and wrote to the developers on Twitter with an offer to provide them with this list. Unfortunately, they have not answered yet, but I will hope that they will write to me soon (how naive I am)
I couldn't play the game for last 3 years because it spitted out errors as i tried to open the game, however it somehow got fixed in the recent updates so I got the opportunity to play this game again and it's astonishing. I can compare how it changed from this video, thanks.
Anyone else like the dust physics (3:00) of 0.21 more? I feel like it rises too quickly in the newer version, and a cloud never builds up around the car
fuck yeah, im finding 0.21 to have way more significant improvements over 0.27/0.28. you can even see @3:45 the interior even looks better and more legible in 0.21. i cant read my dials or gauges in 0.28 without zooming in reeally close. the dirt at @3:00 was also way more dynamic in 0.21 compared to newer versions too
Just a small tip for next time you do one of these videos, make a replay in the older version for the side by side comp and then use that replay in the newer version. Great comparison, this game has come so far!
@@NicOz42 Damn, that's a shame, but you could record your inputs and replay them in other version of the game, if the spawn position is the same, it should drive the same. Just some ideas, not sure if those could work.
I prefer 0.21 menus a bit more if I’m being honest, the bolide sounds better, it revved a bit higher on the old one and was just a bit louder, and the old sparks, they were just a lot brighter
The new main menu is something I wish I could revert back, I really don't like it. But I think everything else is an objective upgrade to the past versions of the game

im honestly thinking about downgrading back to 0.21 at this point. if you compare the two software versions at @13:45 the fixed camera position of 0.27 takes away the dynamic 1st person camera of 0.21 which make it seem like you can feel every bump, dent, hill, crevice's and smooth surfaces of the suspension driving over asphalt. version 0.27 removes that feature which makes this simulation feel like just another arcade game.
@@bigsacrifice8064 Hey, the driver camera's inertia strength was turned off as I like to play that way, I just forgot to do the same with 0.21. That alone shouldn't make the game feel like another arcade game, does it?
@NicOz42 Hey, thanks for the reply! And nah its not just that, i feel like developers are focusing too much on graphic improvements instead of physics-based ones, causing them to fix a lot of whats not broken. For example, the sand, the sun, and the interior dashboard all looked way better in 0.21. Why change it, scale it back, and it make it harder to see when it didnt need improvement in the 1st place?
