i hav bin using thicker oil for years now... wenever i find an engine using oil, i change 2 a heavier weight oil, like my father taught me f/way bak in early 2 mid '60s... it works every time... used 'trick' wen using real oil, now use same 'trick' using AMSOIL... 😃
Do you think the change in oil brands and formulations would make any difference, e.g., the iron increases seen on some of the results? Great learning experience. Your mentioning in the recent past of your use of Purolator Boss Oil Filters also has caught my attention. Saw testing recently by an oil engineer of a number of brands of filters. The Purolator Boss rounded out the top in overall results. Totally rethinking the w aspect of my oil also. Thanks again.
Great presentation -- I will probably switch to 10W-30 now that my 2014 Edge is approaching 100k. Thank you!
