Im gonna be getting all my "rebellious teen" things out of the way in my 20s, because ive spent most of my time from the ages 16 to 20 inside doing nothing, and before that i only did stuff at school
Yeah me too. I just did my first rebellious teen thing about a month ago, which was cutting my hair off. All I needed to do was film it and I could've been one of those youtubers 😅
i totally had that moment when driving home from work the other day of "no one can tell me no" so i stopped and got fries and a mcflurry. i, too, am a good two shoes and felt so rebellious (AT THE AGE OF 25) going to get a cheeky mcflurry and fries with my adult money. XD
Hi so this made me cry? like the montage at the end, and ur monologue about being happier as an adult and having more freedom? idk it hit home for me :') also i love your channel!
Okay but the way that last month I was like “oh no my teen years are slipping away from me and I never got to be # rebellious” so I went out and got that exact same piercing
I have been idolizing the college experience™️ since I was 13 years old, only to have it ripped away from me by a pandemic of all things. But It feels nice to know that I’m not alone, and that a lot of “almost adult teenagers” are going through the same thing actually. We will have more than enough time to be happy in the future, I’m sure of that. Also, this Video makes me want to get my nose pierced and/or cut my hair short lol
I was literally having a mental breakdown yesterday because I'm about to turn 20 in like a month and I'm terrified of not being allowed to do all the stupid irresponsible things people expect you to do while in your teens. So this is helpful
ris clinging to her youth by saying yolo is hilarious to me. i hadnt heard that in like 4 years, immediate whiplash also im 25 so this video had me feel like 83. thanks!
I’m still a teenager but like I did this a few months ago because I was having a reality crisis and snapped under the pressure to live my life and long story short I wore my most badass outfit and snuck out at 3 AM in the country and walked like a mile to explore a burnt down house, could’ve died but at least I have cool pictures of it now. Still feeling pressured to be a rebellious teen tho ✌🏻✨👄💅
@sweeze what I did was I waited till 1:00 AM when everyone was asleep and I planned out beforehand which way out would be the quietest, which was the basement door. Also make sure to bring some form of light and self defense cus it’s dangerous being out at night. And if you take pictures make sure to delete them cus that’s how my parents found out when they were looking through my photos
This video touched me, I’ve always been the goody two shoes kid. Got good grades and had almost no friends. The day I turned 18 I got a piercing and I just felt so... teenager. It’s nice to be able to just have fun
can relate, I've been so sheltered when I was a teen I only now have fun, that's kind of the reason why the pandemic is bumming me out so much, well not to be bummer, it's gonna go back to normal at some point
The first time I was a "rebellious teenager" was when me and my friends had a sleepover at my house and we snuck out at night and broke into our school. That was some main character shit, looking back.
This makes me so much less sad about not having the idealized teenage life you hear so much about, especially when it seems like everyone else is living it. Like it's right there, yet so out of reach. It also makes me very grateful for the experiences I have had. This video is truly magnificent, you did a wonderful job on it!

the end kind of hit me man? I'm turning 20 this year too, and in a way it's going to kind of be a relief, as I'm the youngest in my workplace and looking realistically for a full time position and being 19 still feels "teenager". But in the same time I'm. not gonna be a teen anymore and I also didn't have the idealistic teenage life. And you're right about not being able to do stuff as a teen - I didn't drive until I was 17 and now i have my own car and I can go places and do that kind of stuff. It felt nice to hear someone else say that not everyone did that stuff when they were teens and just because you're older doesn't mean you can't do it.
Ris is the cool, artsy younger sister I wish I had (I have younger sisters but I don’t vibe w them). Congrats on outgrowing your teens, as someone who is officially mid-twenties, I can say that things just keep getting better.
as a very newly 16 year old who has never had any of the high school movie things, thank you. i feel like the pandemic hit just as I was getting to the age where things like first kisses and parties and relationships and sneaking out, etc. it's really reassuring to know that the 20s are better, and it's not just suffering through college in order to prep for a dead end job.

I love this. Also same, I literally didn't start having fun until I turned 18, during the second half on my senior year of high school when I got a car and a job. I think a big reason why I was such a miserable little kid before then was because I was growing up in the suburbs and had absolutely no freedom or independence. If you're still in high school, I promise every year gets better. And don't forget that milestones are fake

I have a theory that coming-of-age teen movies where teenagers live out these romanticized events (i.e. sneaking out, getting a piercing, dying their hair) is more fitting for young adults. I'm going through the same thing of entering my twenties and feeling like I didn't really get to live out my "teen experience", but I think it was always meant to happen in my twenties.
