This is also Kala’s swansong - her final song with OMF, as she is now 19 and too old for the OMF program… but you can still listen to her and watch her perform with her own band, Saving Escape.

I'm 52 and I feel the same way. When she first did Pull Me Under with these students in 2012 - she as 11 - I was blown away... and then 46 and 2.
I am Lakota Ogalala Sioux, the same tribe of Crazy Horse himself, & I must say, these kids absolutely did justice with this performance! You kids rocked it!

Yeah she's an awesome singer BUT u need someone better to write songs for you. Some bands have the vocals and guitars down pat (like this one), but they need ORIGINAL songwriters to elevate them to Messianic status--bands can't make it to the top just doing covers

This was a bittersweet video for me. It shows how far Kala had come in her time with OMF but it's also the final OMF video by the girl who made me a lifelong fan of OMF. I sure do hope that Kala finds the success she so rightfully deserves. What a talent!

I dare say, there are more than 100,000 people in the USA alone that can play that guitar.
Perhaps 10-20,000 that can play the bass like that.Perhaps another 10-20,000 that can play those drums.
That being said.
There are perhaps 50 to 100 female vocalists that could sing that at all.
And only 1 that could do what she just did.

OMF is a special place. Every musician performing here have such incredible talent. The guitarist is shredding. Drums are on point and obviously, the vocals are sublime. Look forward to what each of you produce in the years to come. I am relieved that there are still young and hungry aspiring musicians with a heart for rock. The world needs new music and the next generation is showing they have the talent for it. Salute and applause to OMF and these brilliant musicians. Never stop.

Being a huge Zakk Wylde fan that I am, I am shocked to find that I like this version a lot more than the original. This is sublime on all levels! God, I wish Kala and the gang would do a whole album of classic metal like this.
