I wouldn't say that YOU won the 1v6, but you did survive and stall mostly on your own and the rest of the team won the fight because of that, so the title is only technically wrong- still a good upload ;)

That Brig on Numbani was such a good healing partner, holy heck. She stayed alive really well - and she gave you credit for it, too! I love that you added in the part where you removed the Kings Row guy from avoid. :) That was nice. And as always there are 3497954 things I didn't know you could do/don't even know how you did. Everyone has room for improvement of course, but so much of your gameplay is nutty. The only thing I wish is that you used blue beam a bit more. Never underestimate the power of a dmg boosted full charge zarya (and clearly you know the pains of when a full charge zarya sets her sights on you... how is her beam THAT LONG lmao).
I’m curious, do u instalock mercy? Because often I’ll get someone else who instalocks mercy on my team and I really feel im always better on mercy lol, but i dont want to look like an asshole instalocking her.
It's sad when ppl instalock and it's clear that they are not enough solid with the character. Not only for Mercy, with any character. I would be ashamed myself if I instalock and I know that I'm not good enough, but yep, we all kinda selfish by nature so.
I just taught the superjump to 40 Mercy's this weekend on xbl, one at a time. Exhausted. Good thing Mercy's are generally a bright crowd, if a bit showoff-y 🙂 I mentioned Sarah at the end of every lesson. Great vids for 4 straight years. Thanks!

Two strats I learned from Animetic today: If a teammate dies immediately out of spawn, use Rez, swap-swap, and then you have Rez again. Fake Rezs to stall/distract the enemy team.

I’m only a plat support player who sticks to Baptiste/Moira but I’ve been trying to play Mercy a lot recently and am having lots of fun. My biggest problem is using Guardian Angel to maneuver around and be annoying and hard to kill, but you showcase those skills perfectly and I’m learning so much from it! I was watching some of your previous videos too and I was just as amazed. I can’t wait to apply the skills I’ve learned from you into actual games :)
she has toggle guardian angel off so that if she holds it down, as soon as someone comes in range, even if it’s for a split second, she can fly to them
My SR is in the trash. My tank placed highest when I rarely play but my Zarya carried, my support is my strength and I'm still well below my career high. OW is cursed anyway hehe
At the end it's all a coinflip, and it's even worse with Mercy. If you soloq as Mercy you are doing the most masochist thing you can do in competitive. And this comes from a Mercy main.
@@samwalker3165 Don't trust ranked system in this game anymore, it's not well designed, nothing we know at this point. The only thing that matters is winrate and only winrate, not you stats, not your gameplay, nothing else. So you could play any character at the maximum level possible quite often but if you winrate for whatever reason is low, which is something it can happen, even more playing the support role, you could be permastuck in low-mid ranks no matter what. That's how OW ranked system works.
Do you play in a group or solo queue? Sarah often plays in a duo with a dps main (i.e. Buckle). You can have better luck winning by having friends to queue with - basically to ensure each role is doing their jobs properly, plus you'll play more comfortably knowing you can trust the people on your team to watch out for you.
Soloq as Mercy is probably the hardest thing. Even if you are a God Mercy she's still too reliant to the team compared to other characters or supports. She's an enabler not a carrier. Although you can carry some fights or moments here and there with a clutch rez, good positioning or being so aggressive with smart damage boosting.. Only a very few master-GM Mercys could come back to these ranks starting an unranked to GM soloq Mercy run and that means something. So at the end you need some luck and also try to duo or play with a team you know. Mercy is probably the most versatile support but again, it's an enabler so know her limits.
Not with the bad habit of pulling out often the pistol randomly for no reason and achieving nothing pretty much everytime. Although I think she's still a solid Mercy and I thank her to keep uploading content.

I have to say I've never considered rezzing at the start of an attack round, then changing characters to get my rez back. That's very smart!
You can also use lucio at the start to speed boost your team to point, and then switch to mercy! Animetic does it all the time :)
