I like the outside design and detail work of the ole house..the pale yellow room and wallpaper was very pretty..those ole style servant stairs are beautiful 😊.. and creepy... my opinion is, when these old colonial and Victorian houses are rented out over the yrs, folks just ruin them by adding on and painting over the original woodwork and closing off the fireplaces I think... removing ole window shelters inside and stuff just takes away from the beauty of it.. I love the floor to ceiling windows too.. I've seen a few where they open up kinda like a door style...thank u for sharing 😊

Thought I saw a no trespassing sign on the porch where you went in. And that window in the first room you came into the window facing the porch. I think that window was one that turned into a door? Loved the wallpaper. I’m betting that they did some cooking and that huge fireplace. All these old houses that you go into I think they must’ve frozen to death in the winter time. There was nothing in the walls for insulation so the wind had to have just blown right through there.
Hi Kappy!! Happy Saturday to you!! Thank you so much for sharing this beautifully unique house with us. My first impression walking through the front door was how grand it was, but then you see the curtain hiding a toilet, and that is very confusing. That is not something you want to see or smell when you first walk into a house that beautiful. You never know what they were thinking. Obviously it was needed. The attention to detail in this house is absolutely beautiful!! Going around every corner was a surprise and the old furniture....oh my gosh!! That house is a treasure full of treasures, and it's so sad, so so sad, that this beautiful house is dying alone. Such a beauty! Thank you!.✌️❤️
It was added for an elderly resident that lived there. So that they wouldnt have to go up stairs or to a further away first floor bathroom. You can see that one of the downstairs room was turned into a bedroom also.
So many great finds Kappy,👍And if they’re older but still in tact it’s exciting to see that some could hopefully be saved. I’ve lived in some interesting places at times which inspired me to give lives to the styles of some of these old treasures. There’s mysteries, spook tales and comic/ horror that no one’s come up with, but would show why we need to hold on to our historical homes and places. And I’ve drawn, designed houses that go to some stories, and neighborhoods and other locations for a hobby, but none of my designs are from being manufactured with computer, just straight from the gift from my parents and ancestors, meaning from the mind. It's easy to imagine how beautiful this house was in its prime. It has so many windows! And I love the back porch/sun room. I like to see when nature takes back the land and slowly envelops the house.

"That's a big pine cone...", Kappy that's quite the understatement! Not to take the focus off the house, but that thing was ginormous! Jaw droppingly so! Back to the house.
