Hello from northeast Ohio. I will be fifty years old next month, and I saw Steelheart in concert in the summer of 1991 at the Akron Agora. Their debut album has always been one of my favorite albums. It is fantastic, but unfortunately was about a year too late, due to grunge coming in. Had it come out a year earlier, it likely would have sold much better. But still, it is unforgettable. Thank you for this interview.
This man is an inspiration. I sure hope he knows God considering what he's been through in his life. That voice is iconic. His songs are some my favorite love songs of all time.
Fyi... shes gone has been a staple in singing conpetition here in the philippines... alot of famous filipino artist covers your song on tv on their yt channels tik tok facebook reels from people who grew with steelheart to the teens that discovered Miljenko through these artist... and i have my share of attempting She's gone on the karaoke... not as good as Miljenko but nobody does...

The story I heard goes like this : Actor Christian Slater discovered them and helped them get signed to their Music Label at the time which was I think MCA. I would love to hear the true story. Now the first time I heard Steelheart it was on the radio and Christian Slater introduced them to the listeners on the radio.

Yea, my cousin was Steelhearts first manager & they would practice in Mike's apt. in Norwalk, those were some fine times! Mike had a voice range that was beyond any rocker at that time, he never got the recognition that he deserved. Much respect to him & the band 😘

Ive seen Steehheart in concert twice. My ex made Ill Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes) his song to me because he loved my eyes. I had a meet and great with Milli and he is so approachable and a great interview. The power of his voice and range is amazing and these are the qualities I look for when I choose my music.
TUPAC-CAN YOU GET AWAY! Rumor is he made the song for Left Eye of TLC because of what she was going through with Andre Rison of the Atlanta Falcons when they were dating. Also Tupac wrote her 1st song on her solo album for Death Row but was never finished due to her untimely death. You won't be disappointed!
Trucker here in my 50 somethings lol and I'm an 80s rock nut...but no one and I mean no artist from that era has anything close to what you have. From a trucker on the road that blast my speakers to your wonderful songs!!! Passes my time along...Love ya brother seriously

I'm glad to touched on Rockstar, as when I first heard that song I was asking my mates..is that the guy outta Steeheart? (I did not have internet back then). I did check out that EDM song you were talking about in the interview and it wasnt bad. Keep up the great work.
the chances of winning the lottery was how my brother told me he had cancer, he had a rare cancer on his shoulder blade and had some of it removed, he said to me "I've got more chance of winning the lottery than getting cancer, guess which one I got" took me some long seconds for it to filter to my brain of what he told me. he all good now.
