thank you!! I didn't drop my mouse, but watching you re-insert that little plug / diode thing and then put the clamp back down was all I needed to see. I pressed down on the clamp (without removing it) and I heard a little click and then I did it again and heard another click and it works now!!! thank you!!!! HUZZAH!
kind of working but a little bit stuttering... but yeah. i think i will buy a temporary mouse huhuhu magic mouse is so cool... my fingers are really used to it now. it is so hard to let it go.... thanks for the tip @molly
This video definitely helped. I dropped my Magic Mouse and the left and right clicks worked but not the touch scroll, etc. I didn't need to unscrew anything but I just pushed down on the bracket that you took off and there was a light, audible click (which brought a big smile to my face because I felt like that fixed it). I powered on the mouse and surely enough, it's working again like normal. I guess when I dropped the mouse, the connection must've come undone! This happened some months ago so I've since bought another mouse and could never find a video to show how to fix this... until now! Thank you so very much!
I didn't take the bracket out (couldn't actually see what was being done), but pushed on the bracket, put the mouse back together and the tracking works now. Wish I had those fancy tools.
i saw the opening sequence and was like nope.. oh a few good pushes okay... Did that and the gestures worked. All I was getting was the right and base clicks, standard mouse movements
If Bluetooth has stopped working, this could be the worst. Water may have damaged the electronics. You can open the mouse as in the video and clean the PCB with isopropanol. Maybe this will help. I keep my fingers crossed and wish you good luck
