None of my keys click into place and one slot is completely faulty... i need to remove my stereo desperately is there no other way to remove it? I think this design is pathetic... very poor thought for what happens when it actually breaks
For a double din stereo, unfortunately not. You usually have to remove the stereo to remove the keys once they lock in, so you can't really even rock one side loose, remove and repeat on the other side. The keys are cheap, best option is to buy another two on eBay/Amazon and do it properly rather than struggle and risk damage. Usually on these you get three tries. Get it wrong 3 times and the unit locks. You then need to leave it powered on for 60 minutes, and it will reset itself and allow you to input the code again. What about reentering new code if locked by false code, by mistake?
