Doubts 1. What are mild acids 2. What are mild bases 3. Are all organic acids weak? If not name them 4. Are all mineral acids strong? If not name them 5.why do bases not react with metal carbonates/metal bicarbonates 6. Do all acids sour in taste? If not name them 7. Do all bases bitter in taste? If not name them
1,2. mild means weak. weak acid , weak base 3. yes all organic acids are weak 4. No, Not all mineral acids are strong. Carbonic acid (H2CO3) is a mineral acid but it is very weak
1. Mild acids are acids that are not very strong or corrosive, such as acetic acid (found in vinegar). 2. Mild bases are bases that are not very strong or caustic, such as baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). 3. No, not all organic acids are weak. Some examples of strong organic acids include trifluoroacetic acid and peracetic acid. 4. No, not all mineral acids are strong. Some examples of weak mineral acids include hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and hydrogen cyanide (HCN). 5. Bases do not react with metal carbonates/metal bicarbonates because the carbonate/bicarbonate ions act as buffers, preventing the pH from changing significantly. Bases preferentially react with acids rather than carbonates/bicarbonates. 6. No, not all acids sour in taste. Some acids, such as citric acid found in citrus fruits, can be sour, but others like tartaric acid can be tart rather than sour. 7. No, not all bases taste bitter. Some bases, such as baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), have a salty taste rather than a bitter one*
Hello Mam Myself Mahek ! Homework Questions : We will use Baking Powder for baking cake as it will make cake soften and spongy and if we are using baking soda we have to add tartaric acid/citric acid to cake mixture as baking soda being base tastes bitter so acid will neutralize it 😊 Hope my Answer is correct !! Loved the Class !! 😊
Amazing session your session helped me a lot thanku so much mam and all dear team who do hardwork behind the camera for students so that we can understand every topic 💞 very greaful to you all thanku kirti mam i like the way you are teaching us in both languages so that we can evenly understand everything 💯🎉🎊
Mam I always watch your sessions before any test. I have a test today. I always get more than 80% in Chemistry if I watch your sessions. Thank you mam 😊
Mam, tbh, I was fully confused about this whole chapter even though I didn't have an idea. After this class, I am okay, and it made it easy for me to study this chapter. You are quite good at giving clue's to remember.... 💖😛

Baking soda + tartaric acid = baking powder
It gives h2O+ CO2 where co2 will escape and makes the cake fluffy
