Damn, listening to Danzo's summary really makes you think and reflect that he is very similar to politicians and leaders in certain countries in real life
Yeah tho imo the best parallel for Danzo and the root irl is the CIA. They believe they’re doing what’s best for their country at all times even tho some of what they’ve done is extremely morally reprehensible and some of it came back to bite the US big time and Danzo even tried to assassinate Hiruzen like how the CIA were likely responsible for the assassination of JFK

Hiruzen: i regret not stopping orochimaru Jiraiya: i regret not stopping my best friend (orochimaru) from going down that path. Kakashi: i regret letting obito go. Those who abandon their friends are worse tha scum. Naruto:.......yea in not gonna have those same regrets. And yall wonder why he stays after sasuke. All his teachers regretted not doing it

The Hyuga's would've been much more powerful if they specialized in medical ninjutsu, alongside gentle fist. They are living x-ray machines bec of their byakugan. 💚
@daniel.etcetera Exactly! Neji should've lived on to marry Tenten and become an adviser to Naruto. He can have 3, but only has 1, Shikamaru. Or he could've help run the Hyuuga clan. So many options.
The idea is cool but pointless past the original Naruto, bad in Shippuden (ig it'd be cool in war Arc), even worse in the Boruto era Maybe a form of sage hyuga would be cool, or somehow combining gentle fist with the hidden gate's, heck I could agree if they learned 100 healings maybe I just don't see how them just having basic healing throughout the whole show would make them more relevant in any way especially when their opponent is launching Akatsuki/Biju/kage/ outsutski level but if you're talking about 100 healings like I said you got a nice argument

I always thought naruto was more of a: dont let your circumstances define you, your actions, and your goals. more so than a pick yourself up by your bootstraps.
But also acknowledges theirs people that do get changed by their environment and situations but Naruto himself struggling with that over came it and pretty much understands the reasonings behind all the evils in his world, so did the sasuke the other mc like character who with the same problems like Naruto chose to let the environment mold him into someone else that killed those responsible
Naruto’s story was never about ‘hard work beats talent’ or that ‘if you work hard enough you can achieve your dreams’. Yes these are themes in the story but was NEVER and will never be what Naruto is about. Naruto the story, not just a theme or a plot point, the ENTIRE POINT of the story was to demonstrate how we are all victims of our circumstances and if we seek to understand each other instead of constantly fighting we can overcome the cycle of hatred. Shinobi were always meant to be emotionless soldiers who perpetuate the cycle to continue, but in the very first arc Naruto was able to reach the heart of Zabuzza and promised that he would not be the emotionless tool that the world wanted him to be. And ever since then Naruto proved time and time again that it is love that leads to peace and understanding not hate. That is the point of Naruto, everything else is just extra. Therefore Naruto is not only a great character for the story that was being told but was the only character that could truly fulfill the themes that the story was trying to tell.
@@A_Professional_Idiot_mk.2not really, Naruto only said the hard work thing against Neji. Not giving up, is the message I always received from the show. Idgaf about the forgive people thing F that. I believe in an Eye for an Eye and this goes against it.
@A_Professional_Idiot_mk.2 Yeah, but Naruto never cared if he was destined to be great or not. That's the point. He didnt have natural talent, but he managed to stand on equal grounds with Sasuke who was naturally talented and destined to be strong as well. Asura and Naruto would have been alot weaker if they didn't believe in themselves, train, and rely on others as much as they do. Also, the destiny part that the Toads brought up is most likely an ability to somewhat peer into the future. A god didn't say one of Jiraya's student was destined, they just happened to get information about the future through an ability that they didn't fully understand. We know that an ability like that exists because of the Ostsusuki and Kashin Koji. There are branching paths. He would have caused great stability or destruction which means that the future isn't set in stone.
I feel like Kaguya should've been teased at the of Shuppuden, like showing the gedo statue cracking open or something but her as a character/antagonist should've been introduced in Boruto or a movie in the middle cause her appearance and especially how she appeared took away from Madara as a villain leading to his "defeat" feeling underwhelming
Yup and overcoming hatred. Don’t understand how people still believe that a sub plot theme (hard work beats talent) from the chunin exams that was mainly embodied by Lee, was somehow the main theme of the story😂🤦🏽♂️
@@kleatise52 just bc you want something, doesn’t mean it should happen. A theme like Hard work beats talent doesn’t work for a story like Naruto. So criticizing it saying Lee should’ve been the mc doesn’t make sense when that’s not even the main theme of the story.
No that’s the point of Shippuden. Part 1 of Naruto had nothing to do with that. The theme of Naruto 100% changed as the story went on cuz the original theme of Naruto was no longer applicable as Naruto’s backstory was revealed. The original theme of Naruto was about a nobody orphan working hard to become Hokage despite all odds. In part 2 the theme of Naruto became less about Naruto’s journey to Hokage and more about his pointless stupid pursuit of sauske.
10:29 Okay, I don't like Naruto, but I have to defend him here. His character was *never* about hard work and all that nonsense. The story is about breaking the cycle of hatred. It has been since Chapter 1 with Iruka. The hard work/underdog thing was just his personal conflict with Neji specifically during the Chunin Exams. 14:20 You can't use his age to justify/forgive his actions when he was deemed mature enough to be the captain of the Anbu. Either he's mature enough to be given the same condemnation as any adult, or everyone else has to be made dumber for giving a child such a position of authority The number 12 hot take is technically correct. Madara should have died to Night Guy. My (one of them) hit take: Susanoo shouldn't be a dojutsu. Susanoo being created by the MS makes no sense and it's really dumb that a shinobi would create a giant suit of kaiju battle armor. It should have been a technique created by and used predominantly by the samurai clan. You can then just say Madara, Itachi, and whoever learned it from them.
Agreed on all points and for me, who personally loves Naruto as a character, it’s cool to see someone who actually understands the character despite not liking them💯 the hard work beats talent thing was debunked years ago lol idk how people still think this.
I disagree with the Jiraiya take. I can understand the emotions behind it, but I don't agree with him taking away from the story. When introduced he is this legendary character and a sage. His pervy nature made Jiraiya human. Just like Master Roshi. All Jiraiya did was spy on women in a bathhouse, he didn't put cameras in the bathhouse and sell the tapes, he didn't force himself on anyone. In a series where people steal children and force them to kill their emotions to kill others, spying on a tit or two isn't that bad.
@@Smkymcpott85 Yeah, I agree. People try to compare our current standards in the real world to their world which doesnt really make sense. In the future I'm sure they will compare their standards to how we live now in the same way. Our values change overtime. I'm not saying it's right for him to spy on them, but it's human to have faults and they didnt grow up in the same world we did.
Facts. He was the only character up until Naruto who genuinely wanted World Peace. He never took away from the story, his death was sad, emotional and most certainly an important piece to the overarching plot.
All Legendary Sannin were flawed in their own way. They were all brought up in a world where killing children was as mundane as eating a sandwich so they had to cope anyway they could. Jiraya was a perv / ladies-man, Tsunade a drunk and a degenerate gambler and Orochimaru a scruple-less scientist who sought out greatness through power. I've known people who got their lives wrecked through gambling, you don't see me blaming Tsunade every time she laughs off her losses and successfully conns someone into lending her more money.
She quite literally refused her fathers request for her to not marry out the family and then moved away from the branches, she quite literally broke free, neji sadly was the one focused on changing the branches, and sure hinata felt the need to help him finish that mission, but she kinda did it in her own way, by leaving the family which did in fact change to a loving one after hinatas decision
Either Tenten should've gone back to training medical ninjutsu. Naruto it's all about not giving up and she gave up. Tsunade is her idol and she was now in the village. Why didnt she try again? It doesnt make sense. Or she should've learned chakra flow and apply it to her weapons. Imagine how powerful she would've been if she trained under Asuma? 🐵🗡
That's a great idea! Tenten learning how Tsunade does the chakra super strength thing and then augmenting it so it means her weapons hit with 100x the force they are supposed to would be a good power up for her. It'd still make her the weakest of the Konoha 13 but it'd give her some kind of post-genin gimmick and it would give her a teeny tiny character src
Extremely hot take: Naruto isn’t and was never about to “pulling yourself up by your boot straps”. I don’t even know where this myth came from. From chapter 1, we’re given that Naruto was a special kid (his insane amount of chakra reserves), but Naruto was also demonstrated to be one of the laziest students. Naruto’s real message was staying true to your beliefs and desires no matter the adversity. Literally, the two main plots of Naruto (Naruto becoming Hokage and Naruto getting Sasuke back) are never changed. Naruto stays true to his ultimate goals, even in the face of immense adversity. Even his battle with Neji was not about “hard work beats talent”, but about defying someone’s supposed fate. It’s insane how many people miss this message.
"say's he's one of the laziest students completely ignores that the only reason he learned shadow clones is because he spend all night training for it nonstop even iruka noted how much work he put into learning the justu" Naruto had a lot of chakra but that didn't make his job as a shinobi easier in fact it just made it more dangerous. The fight with Neji was about using hardwork to overcome your fate in otherwords you can change who you are if you try hard enough that was also the point of Naruto finishing off neji with a shadow clone neji mistook it for Naruto's specialty with naruto correcting him saying it used to be his worst justu and it only seemed like he's a natural at it because he trained hard to master it
@@lightyoshiman But... it wasn't. Note, I said Naruto is *one* of the laziest students. He has his moments, sure, but he also consistently takes the easy way out ESPECIALLY in the beginning. And no, he didn't use hard work to beat Neji. He used an X-factor Neji didn't foresee and a lot of ingenuity on Naruto's part. That wasn't hard work; we don't have arcs about Naruto perfecting his shadow clones, and literally the entire fight was about the fate of these two characters and how Naruto defied his by sticking true to himself.
@brendonbarr6136 I agree it's more about sticking to your true self and ideals but we need to stop rewriting and acting like he's lazy. We have a lot of cases of him borderline putting himself in danger to train a lot
@@brendonbarr6136 what easy way did he take out at the start of the series? in the very beginning he worked all night to learn the shadow clone justu again iruka pointed out how hard he was working. Then in the next arc he spend a week learning chakra control to the point he passed out from exestuation (the kid with the nine tailed fox chakra as well as uzumaki chakra passed out from over training) kid was a hard worker since the beginning. By the time Naruto fought Neji he had gone through intense training some of which nearly killed him the whole point of Naruto finishing Neji off with a shadow clone was to show Neji that trying hard and working towards your goal isn't pointless and you can get results (seeing as Naruto sucked at making clones but by training hard not only in learning the shadow clone but his chakra control he's able to use them more effectively and easily). Neji's view on life is "your never going to change no matter how hard you work life sets you a path and you follow it regardless of what you do" in Naruto's case he was set up to be a loser for life he had no skills in being a ninja much more becoming hokage and if anything he was set up to be a ticking time bomb, he proved Neji wrong by not only beating him but using what was once his worse justu
@@lightyoshiman The entire bell exam? The written exam of the chunin exam that he passed not by studying but rather by *staying true to himself*? Maybe lazy isn't the right word, but there are plenty of examples of Naruto distinctly not using hard work but rather his innate abilities and sheer impulsiveness. As for the comment about Neji; *Yes. That's exactly the point*. The battle was one about defying fate, not about the hard work Naruto was putting into it. Even Naruto's catchphrase is about how he never goes back on his word.
Hiruzen wasn’t a bad hokage but he was a TERRIBLE guardian to Naruto. Given the task by Minato to take care of his child just for that child to eat Ramen for every meal and drink milk with it. Kurama mustve been working overtime making sure Naruto doesn’t die of a heart attack at the mere age of 12.
Ramen and whole milk are very nutritious and not bad for you. Also, food isn’t the primary cause of heart disease. It’s oxidative stress on the glycocalix which is caused by exposure to smoke, fumes from industry, and chemicals. This damage is then repaired by UVA and IR light from the sun which produces nitric oxide and other healing factors. Unhealed damage to the glycocalix by a lack of sunlight results in calcium deposits, arterial thickening, and if it happens too 13:14 quickly, a heart attack and death. The kid was outside 24/7 and wasn’t around cars and didn’t smoke. He was fine
@@AlexeiMikhailBoleslavbut consider that eating the same food for almost every meal is unhealthy, and given how casually he chugs the spoiled milk in one if the first episodes, it's not hard to say he's drank a lot of expired milk. Also I'm pretty sure the reason he was shorter than Sasuke and Sakura in part 1 was because he wasn't properly fed
I halfway agree with "Madara is too OP", he does get power ups, hashirama cells, rinnegan, and ten tails but he was dominating the 5 kages with pure power alone, which diminishes and ridicules 5 very intersting and liked characters, a villain who outmanouvers the good guys will always be more interesting than the one that just stomps everybody because he's stronger. Look at FMA, nobody gets powers ups there, they just strategize and play on their strenghts to overcomes difficulties.
10:25 Naruto is about connections/bonds that’s the main theme of the story. That’s why Naruto never lost the plot of his main theme he is still about connection. He connects with everyone he meets and even connected to Kurama which allowed him to be connected to the shinobi in the war. Naruto is about hard work but that’s not the main theme of the story, it’s a theme not the main one though.
My personal hot take is that Danzo should have been the final villain. He caused both Naruto and Sasuke's trauma, and it just thematically fits, I feel.
its impressive how someone live their life on Naruto does not even understand the main point and theme of Naruto.. imagine thinking "Hardwork beat Talent" is the theme... Kakashi in the chunin exams look at Lee and says "By hardwork alone its not possible, this guy must a be genius". The theme was to defy the fate. And it is ALWAYS the same. Naruto vs Sasuke second fight is Naruto completely rejecting and defying the Fate of Ashura and choosing to forgive Sasuke (Indra) and make him understand what means to be a ninja. Both Hashirama and Ashura couldnt do it and they eventually cut their ties with Madara and Indra. Naruto refused it.
If you wanna find the theme of a story as a whole, you have to look at it from start to finish and only 1 theme exists from the first chapter to the final chapter, and that is breaking the cycle of hatred and forgiveness.
Exactly, idk how people still think the main theme was hard work beats talent😂 that was lees theme. Defying fate and overcoming hatred were much more impactful and consistent themes in the series. So much so, that I don’t get how people still clinch onto a sub plot theme from the chunin exams🤦🏽♂️
Danzo is the closest thing we have to Fascism in Naruto. Danzo does care for Konoha but in his mind the existence of village is above the needs of the people themselves. Not mention he is very authoritarian and thinks that he should control everything with iron fist. That’s makes him a very compelling villain. He isn’t the strongest villain in physicality but has caused a lot damage.
32:34 Uhm, no? The first Rasenshuriken, with only wind nature transformation added to the Rasengan, was specifically NOT throwable! That came later wuth Sage Mode!
three points i wanna make. kakashi was never meant to be a teacher who trains team 7. he was someone who taught them what he thought he needed to learn at their age. Also about narutos obsession with sasuke, I always thought it was explained when hagoromo revealed that they were transmigration of brothers. I thought it was like a subtle influence of asura to reconcile with indra. lifetimes of trying and failing to reconnect with his brother who went the wrong path. It was also obvious to me that naruto giving up on sasuke would be the ultimate insult to himself too. Naruto has always been someone to never give up on whatever he does, him giving up on sasuke would retract from his promise to himself to never give up on his friends. thirdly, sakura would have no idea how to run a village. shikamaru was a much better choice, considering the fact that he is extremely familiar in the process of running the village from being the hokages advisor, and sakura is the best medical ninja in history, excluding maybe hashirama. she might be the strongest but she wasn't the most suitable. its the same reason kakashi was the sixth hokage instead of naruto. Naruto might be more powerful but he wasn't trained for it at the time.
@@SaberKT14 agreed with your second point. I think Nick just says that it’s an obsession bc people critique Sakura for it and feel they should do the same to Naruto since she’s one of his fav characters. You’re pretty much spot on on why Naruto doesn’t give up on him. Comparing him to Sakura who just had an obsessive crush is an insult to Naruto’s character tbh.
While I agree with most of your points in this video, Naruto’s main theme was NOT hard work beats talent, that’s lees theme. Naruto’s themes were: never giving up, overcoming hatred and being able to change your fate.
You can't forget danzo allowed for more destruction, and death to happen when pain attacked the leaf because he killed the messenger frog. All to force himself into the hokage position hidden behind him acting like it was for the best of the leaf village
Another Hot take by me I feel like Obito was the most interesting main villain for me. Obito is basically a reflection of Naruto if he gave up. Their personality is almost identical when they were kids. Obito has connection to Kakashi, Minato, Kushina. I know that Obito's objective to put everybody into dream world just to be with a fake version of Rin sounds dumb. but still the personal connections makes it much personal which is understandable why talk no jutsu would work on Obito. Pain also shares a bit of personal connection because they are both Uzumaki and students of Jiraya. On the other hand there's nothing that connects Madara and Naruto directly. Yeah he indirectly caused all the events but that's not really enough. Even the fact that Madara is the previous reincarnation of Indra doesn't really connect them much. I feel like Madara's main appeal is that he is very OP character ans he is very cool. The VAs of his character both in Japanese and English are just amazing.
So sick of the Hiruzen hate that has no ground to stand on. I’ve heard some reasonable arguments over the years - but honestly there are a few points I fundamentally disagree with. 1. Minato had no idea Hiruzen would be re-elected Hokage after his death. How would he? Not even Hiruzen knew. It had never happened before in the village. An old retired man would have a lot more time to take care of a kid than the leader of the entire village. 2. Despite being the busiest man in the village (keep in mind Naruto had towers of paperwork and Hiruzen didn’t have Naruto’s proclivity for Shadow Clones to help), Hiruzen paid for a full apartment for Naruto for years, paid for his meals and clothes and regularly checked in on him. He had as much of an eye on the kid that a man in his position could have.
Ooh! MC Kiba... with akamaru having different soldier pills that their combination jutsu will also vary: two-headed/offense, liondog/defense, wolfman/speed, raiku/lightning, youko/fire, etc.. If one is the mc, the verse will shape for him/her.. usually.
My hot take is that the Konoha 12 are all high level ninjas, including Tenten and Kiba. They all passed the first two tests of the Chunin exams which eliminated a ton of kids. And the war arc showed us a ton of jonin who seem to be well below what the 12 pull off, especially against the 10 tail minion things.
Okay, yeah, but what are other high-level ninja? The Raikage? Deidara? Danzo? By the end of the series most of them can’t even beat the weaker members of the Akatsuki.
@amberknight7301 I'm not saying they're kage level. Im saying they're top tier jonin. Most members of the Akatsuki are in the low to mid kage level with even Sasori being one of the weaker members but being said that he destroyed a whole nation once. Hidan is probably the weakest member and he was in the high jonin levels.
@@716_ハディくん he’s acting like kiba not surpassing deidara is a shame or something. Nah in fact if the whole konoha 12 surpassed the akatuski it wouldn’t even be believable but that’s what some people want.
I will admit upfront that I have never watched or read Naruto/Boruto and all my knowledge comes from watching your videos and a couple shorts/scenes from the anime posted to youtube here and there however I have to say first (in the video) take is a bit wrong. Danzo doesn't love Konoha, he's obsessed with his own idealized version of Konoha that only existed in his head. Danzo only cared about what he wanted for Konoha and what could benefit him. Danzo wanted to control Konoha and the only reason he wanted Konoha to be strong was for the same reason any ninja wants their weapons to be strong. If Danzo truly loved Konoha he wouldn't take actions so blatantly against it such as: The opression and later massacre of the Uchiha, actively sponsoring Orochimaru kidnapping and experimenting on children from Konoha, Keeping secrets such as Yamatos wood release from Hiruzen and Konoha or attempting to have Hiruzen assassinated (I believe more than once even).
So we're just gonna forget about granny chio, huh arguably, the most compelling female character in the show a woman who wanted nothing to do with alliances, who ended up sacrificing herself in the name of one of those alliances. Not to mention, she's the grandmother to one of the akotsky members, her backstory is incredibly compelling
@cheyennemoore8380 and that is a completely fair critique, I just feel like people entirely forget about Granny chio, being such a well written character.
Isn't Wind Nature the rarest nature? That's why he got sent to Asuma. Kakashi had been shown to only use the other natures up until the Rasen training. I doubt Jiraiya even had the ability to teach him any Wind style because he never used Wind anything. The only Toad based Jutsu Naruto has ever used that involves wind was Toad Oil Bullet, which I believe Naruto had to basically learn from the ground up on how to do.
Yin and yang are utilized as shadow and light rather than good and evil. They say the nara clan utilize yin release for shadow possession while the akamichi use yang or light style for body expansion.
I have a personal theory that Naruto's "talk no jutsu" is watered down version of the charm shinjutsu. It gives an in universe reason for how he's able to persuade strong willed idealogs to his way of thinking such as Nagato and Obito (amongst many others)
@716_ハディくん Shinjutsu did exist via Shibai and the Osutskis we as the reader were unaware of them until Boruto. Similar to DragonBall Goku was always a Sayain but the reader isn't aware of it until the arrival of Raditz.
My hot take is Boruto shouldn't look so drippy in two blue vortex. Him being this cool physically hurts me because I could enjoy ragging on him before and now he is freaking cool. I used to make jokes about him being lame and now he's freaking cool. Bro went rom gen Z/alpha spoiled brat to an actual cool character talk about a freaking glow up
Nah dude, you still can hate him like other illiterates on Twitter do by saying "Why ain't he smiling anymore" or "Why's he trying to be like Sasuke". There are still ways. Your giving up too early on the young lord.
@@aayushpatil2294 I'm mainly talking about the outfit in terms of him being cooler but also he is kind of cooler because he's like Sasuke but with the edge dialed back where he isn't evil and hate filled but still dark
I'm so fucking sick and tired of hearing that hot take of Naruto not being a hard worker, wahhhh he's the son of Minato and Kusina two powerful people when all he inherited from them is a load of chakra he couldn't do jack shit with and had to train hard in order to use properly, wahhhh he has the strongest tailed beast inside him you know that murderous monster that wanted Naruto dead and he had to fight the guy in a life and death battle to even gain some control over and even then he had to work hard to free son to prove that he really did care about kurama outside of his power, wahhhhhh he's the reincarnation of Asura you know that loser who couldn't do anything on his own and not only had to work hard but relay on others for more power despite being the son of the sage of six path (which is another underlining theme of the series people over look). People of course Naruto is going to be a juggernut by the end of his story that's the whole point he worked himself to the bone to get there plus he had help getting there
14:38 I absolutely agree with this. Itachi is one of my top two favorite characters, not just in Naruto, not just in anime, but anything. Mostly it’s because of how I relate to his story and decision making as an older brother to two younger brothers that I’d do anything for. His story about sacrificing everything and himself for his younger brother hit very close to me, and that is one if the biggest reasons I love him so much. But I see so many people deifying Itachi and acting like he’s Jesus 2, which is insane. He’s a person thrust into a bad situation and forced to do what he thinks is best, whether or not it was true. He’s strong but he’s not so insanely strong. People acting like he’s a perfect human being and a shining example of morality or something like that is so insane when I would say that Itachi has a good heart and soul, he isn’t a good person.
28:38 you got it all the way around, she is specificaly created to set future villain for boruto. If not for the higher up preassure to continously milking naruto's story kishimoto wouldn't have to sack madara in the stupid way to give way for kaguya.
Itachi is definitely overrated, a while ago I was talking to someone on RUclips who unironically said "Itachi is the master of everything".... Yeah....enough said. 😂
How is Sakura a better representation of "Hard work over talent" than Naruto?! Yeah Naruto had a lot given to him but his goals were also much highter than most people in Naruto and he still trained to get most of his abilities like the Rasenshuriken and KCM and even when his was gifted with something he still had drawbacks that he had to get around with intelligence like Sage Mode or he had to learn to use in a smart way like his clone jutsu, he also took a lot of empathy, emotional intelligence and a strong will to get where he got. The only thing that he was given without any need to train was his SO6P mode. And what did Sakura do to get to his current power? She trained offscreen, she had 1 fight and she did nothing for the rest of Shippuden until the showdown with the Ten Tails. I don't know you but to me Naruto's journey to getting his powers was a lot more satisfying and earned than Sakura's one.
@Asteriarimia yeah tbh he likes to push this narrative since Sakura and Lee are 2 of his favorite characters. Naruto worked MUCH harder than Sakura. That aside tho, hard work beats talent wasn’t even the main theme of the story. It was a subplot theme from the chunin exams that was mainly embodied by Lee. Naruto’s main themes were: overcoming hatred, defying fate and never giving up which Naruto as a character and series embodies very well.
10:30 Ok your use of the bootstrap paradox aside, Naruto, thematically, is about how, in order to grow, one must work with others, achieve understanding, and unite against forces that torment, tantalize, and seek to control, as well as offering redmeption to those who seek it (not htose that deserve it, but those taht actively seek it out and due the work to change their ways). Naruto's personal story has been pointed out, many times, as literally just being the Golden Path of Budism, intermixed with the aformentioend themes of growth, understanding, and unity. This wasnt always the case, the start of the series is closer to the usual "do your best" angle most shonen take, but as the series expands so too do its ideas. Trying to force a series that long ago moved onto concepts like refinement of the self and mutal international cooperation to adhere to the simple ideas it had at the start is almost anathema to its corea ideals, even at the start. Furthermore, being born an uzumaki, the son of hokage, the host fo the most powerful tailed beast, and being a reincarnanated child of prophecy dont really help Naruto that much: -Being the son of a hokage didnt stop an entire village from persecuting, neglecting, and abusing him for the first 13 years of his life -he had the strongest tailed beast and was an uzumaki...and still had shitty chakra and lagged behind his peers for over half the series -being a child of prophecy literally meant he was destined to unite the beasts and beat kaguya, and thats it. Nothing else is mentioned, we literally watch him put time and back breaking work in, and he got by with help most of the time. Also, the prophecy made him the target of multiple kidnapping and murder attempts and centered a war on him Like, the idea that Naruto "lost the plot" as a character in this context hinges on ignoring the very loudly repeated points of the series writ large. Im not saying anoyone has to like the character, but still
Perfectly well said, it’s insane to me that people don’t understand this and heavily underestimate the nuance in Naruto’s character. Naruto worked hard but that wasn’t his main theme, it’s lees theme which people confuse and try to say he should’ve been the MC which is objectively wrong.
Naruto receiving the dark side of Kurama is why to me Minato is a lil iffy cz he only believed Naruto is a the child of profecy not that he knew Naruto is the reincarnation of Ashura it was a pure guess same way Madara trusted Obito to carry out his poorly planned plan it was a gamble............
22:28 To be fair, Kishimoto also agreed with this. I remember a statement years ago where he said he made Madara too powerful and had no idea how to actually have him be defeated, which is why we got one of the worst asspull endings in anime history.
My “hot take” even though it’s more a theory than anything else. I think Amado has a special genjutsu. Almost every time we see Amado explaining anything, or talking to powerful people, he smokes a cigarette. Multiple times he does this it’s in a convo, granted initially, about Kara, but he’s done it a few times now in TBV I think his genjutsu might be a shinjutsu that allows vapors to initiate the genjutsu
Day 6: Hey Nick, How would you make it so that Naruto becomes the strongest again? How would the story go? I would love to hear how you would make it so Naruto surpasses Boruto and became the strongest MC again
1:15 Yeah, people's hate for Danzo isn't unwarranted. But the actual hot fake is that Danzo is infact likeable. I'm not talking about a "love to hate em" kind of likeable, I mean a genuine care for Danzo's character and wellbeing.
So I've been thinking a lot about a certain jutsu and this will sound crazy so bear with me. What if sexy Jutsu is secretly the most effective jutsu in Naruto. And what if Jiraya knew this and forced him to use it so much? In part one, he KO'd the 3rd, and beat his first Jonin, and commonly injured Iruka with it. Sure there gag moments but, I am a writer, and Kishimoto has an odd way of having characters react to the move's effectiveness. The third feared facing Naruto's Harem jutsu after seeing Ibisu be defeated so easily after basically vowing to seriously hurt Naruto, bluff or not. It's the first move he taught his very first student, and an early part of Boruto's development as a ninja as well. Of course, most characters fighting with rageful intent aren't affected by this, but Naruto learns early on when to use it and when to not. So when he pulled it out on Kaguya, Sakura, who hated the jutsu, was affected and in aww when it worked, but Sasuke approved of it, and Kakashi wasn't all that surprised to see the jutsu either. Remember, Kishimoto killed MADARA UCHIHA off for a one-time Kakashi Susanno, To introduce the Otsotsuki clan, and for The group to struggle and barely land anything on Kaguya until Naruto used the reverse harem technique. This may be soon to call, but I'm betting Boruto uses it in a key moment at the end of the series. Kakashi foreshadows this when he says "Is his pervy jutsu really going to save the world?". Remember Jiraya made him practice this jutsu more than RASENGAN, and he was preparing him to fight the Akatsuki. Naruto himself said before using it on Kaguya, "This usually works better on stronger opponents.". It's Naruto's classic gag, but SO6P, Truth-Seeker Orb, Naruto with two arms, Rinnegan Sasuke And 100 heals Sakura, felt he had to resort to using the technique to gain the upper hand in a fight and Sasuke, the second strongest on scene and someone that proved unaffected by the jutsu approved this idea and seemed as if he wasn't shocked by the results.
Naruto: *opens bag, pulls out shadow clones* Villain: No Naruto: *opens bag again, pulls out Rasengan* Villain: No Naruto: *opens bag a third time, pulls out shadow clones with Rasengan* Villain: No Naruto: Well this isn't working...*adds an element type to Rasengan* THIS IS NOW MY ONLY JUSTU *cast shadow clone*
25) I hate danzo and maybe that's why he is a good character bcoz he is a villain and i am supposed to hate him .....but he is not innocent and he don't care for village or anything 24) Minato isn't a terrible father ....he became a father for 30 mins lol..... And he entrusted that responsibility to his child because he believed in his child ... So yeah he isn't a terrible father and if you take into consideration he was hokage ...his decision isn't wrong 23) I mean power wise or what ?..... If you think they were weak then i would say no they were capable to solo entire ninja world ... Obito was controlling mist ...deidara was about to destroyed a whole nation kn his own .... Pain destroyed konoha alone ..... Leaving cloud and stone .... I don't think they would stand that much if all members of akatsuki attack at once 22) That's wrong coz people misunderstood or confused between two but naruto's story isn't about hard work beats talent that's Lee's moto ..... Naruto's moto was you can change your destiny if you want and he did that he changed his and sasuke's destiny....there are things you can hate about naruto but don't misunderstand 21)i mean except team 10 ....neji and lee in og what side characters did anything?like hinata was moaning all the time and kiba froze in time 20) itachi is overrated....in character wise maybe no ..in power scaling yes ....and tge reason is simple ....itachi is popular and most people watch it from shorts so they ride him....even if they have watched the series I don't see a reason why people say itachi soloes verse etc 19) I guess it's common ... I won't say it's wrong but almost every story has one jiraya like sanji for example 18)Hiruzen as a person was bad and did many mistakes and leaving danzo alive after uchiha massacre is what makes me hate him ....but as a hokage he was good to average bcoz that man maintained peace and was hokage fkr so long for a reason 17)" Sasuke sucks " ---- take milk and sleep..... What would you have done if your brother murdered your whole family including parents ....you would be jesus and leave him ?..... Or if you come to know that an old man forced your brotger to do that and your brother wants you tl serve the village that old man serves .... Would you go jesus mode and do that ?..... He has taken bad decision but I don't see a reason why won't he persuit hus brother and why won't he hate the village .... If all him veing rogue was Itachi's own fault ...he pushed him to the brink and orochimaru took advantage by manipulating him....what do you expect from a kid ?..... And I don't disagree he has done bad things and decisions 16)Tenten is worse ? Umm she don't have screen time and she is a ninja not a wizard from harey potter 15) I mean most of kage's decisions are bad but his plan was bad 14)I agrre ....die as a hero rather than being a package lf no use 13) I mean I can't disagree.... And funny thing people gate sakura in og naruto but what the heck did kakashi teach her ? He was busy with sasuke (i know that's imp but still) ...in shipuden he helped naruto (he is the mc but ) he objectively a failure as a teacher 12)Lol true unlike sukuna we atleast know he isn't ass pulling power but yeah madara was too powerful even for the mc to defeat 13)I agree and explained in a previous point 12) True also people hate sakura because she loves the emo guy but don't do the same hate flr naruto .... Why bcoz he is the mc and has a emotional backstory 11) well I shouldn't talk about this but orochimaru has done bad things and he is a villain ofcourse .... He got his character full circle and redemption.... And konoha decided it better to use orochimaru knowledge than killing him .... I mean yeah but how would you say that to the people who lost their loved ones because of him ? 10) I mean yeah kabuto's whole story about him finding an identity so I don't disagree with this 9) how madara died is bad but kaguya i don't think so.... She gives us knowledge why there are magicinas in a ninja world 8)I disagree ....you aren't completely wrong but the real plot is that you can change your destiny 7)I like talk no jutsu ....i mean it's unique and harder to write than just A fighting B for X reason and then A kills B and gg.... I also like it because it shows how humans can understand each other and can solve conflicts via conversation....but yeah some places the person deserves to die 6) I agree but i guess naruto can mix chakra nature in most of the jutsus he has mastered ....and why he doesn't use any other wind release ....well if you have a gun why would you fight with a stick 5)we don't need to discuss shika id naruto's best friend 4) female characters were under utilitiesed .... it's not hot take but fax.... And atleast ino and sakura didn't remain housewife with the excuse that they have to raise child while sakura was raising a child without even her husband
minato wasn't a bad father. he was a dead father. naruto also does need new jutsu. cuz he couldn't use resenshuriken with out hurting himself till the pain arc. he needs something other than "resengan". he needs range too. as well as elemental advantage jutsu.
One thing people forget about hiruzen is he created the will of fire, the uncompromising desire to protect the village which ties directly to boruto TBV jura will learn the will of fire and will fight to protect the village thank hiruzen for that
I think the point about Naruto’s wind style being underdeveloped is accurate. We see constantly people don’t just use the strongest jutsu of their element and stick to it. Just off the top of my head there’s the Mist technique, Water Bullet, Water Dragon just for Water release and so on. The sheer danger of Naruto’s Rasenshuriken makes it entirely useless to spar with too, unless he just randomly tries to kill someone with it. Otherwise he defaults to the Rasengan which has no nature. Therefore, I don’t feel like having a very lethal move warrants Naruto’s main nature type being considered to be developed very well. Looking at Sasuke, his main releases being Fire and Lightning and his are far more developed; having multiple variants on Chidori, Kirin, Dragon Fire Technique, Great Dragon Fire Technique, Great Fireball Technique, Phoenix Sage Fire Technique and so much more. Most that can be said for Naruto is that he uses a lot of kekkai genkai for rasengan.
A what if story about Yahiko, Konan and Nagato joining with Hanzo successfully, without Danzo manipulating things could be interesting. An Akasuki group fighting for the peace of the five elemental nations while eventually coming into conflict with Obito's group of Biju hunters. Might be that some of the other characters join up in a tenure of sorts with the black cloaks with red clouds being seen as a symbol of pride and hope rather than being vilified.
What if kaguya would have been a movie after the last, they defeat madara weather the crack in the moon which sets up some stuff slightly altering the last where in setting up kaguya to be released in the next movie which tells more of the story of the sage of six paths and what Naruto and Sasuke and maybe even toneri helping to fight kaguya therefore kind of escalating the threats to full blown up otsutsuki's going from 10 tails threats, sage of six paths kind of level, and then finally full otaotsuki, now if you want to make the power-ups consistent maybe do something really cool what's like an ultra sage mode for Naruto kind of based on the Spirit bomb where people gather nature energy for him or he actually temporarily seals all nine tailed beasts inside of him making him a pseudo 10 tails but like even more of one then what he was before giving him a temporary power up maybe make Sasuke awaken the rinnegan earlier as a result of a blood transfusion between Naruto and Sasuke during the war or something and make it awaken faster due to like the compatibility of the chakra or something or because they are closer. Boom the otsotsuki threat is now more properly introduced without destroying Madara and feels more like an escalation rather than randomly interjecting itself and we get maybe an extra potential cool form for Naruto or something.
I don't like when people say the power ups that Naruto gets make him less of a representative of the main point of his story. The main point is that you can become more than the circumstances of your birth. Naruto represents that completely. So what he had great genetics, that lesson is about more than just gaining power. By the circumstances of his birth, Naruto was left an orphan with no family and a village that hated him for something he had no control of from the moment of his birth. He should've become a villain (another main point of the story), but he didn't. He overcame that. Instead, he became hokage, but not just that. He became a hero to the entire world. He made that village love him through sheer will to protect, not power. Sasuke had power and couldn't do that for a while. He also made kurama, the once hated demon, a loved citizen and asset of konoha. He absolutely became more than the circumstances of his birth and represents that whole heartedly. This has been my TED Talk....sorry lol
I really don’t like “minato is bad father” take. It’s more like Hiruzen and Jiraya are kinda assholes, who risked quite a lot while betting on Naruto growing up a good man while shunned by his own village.
I genuinely dislike when people say “blank was supposed to be a story about this or that” so much the story is dictated by what the writer wants to do, not what you as the readers have committed this story to being (edit: i dont think the readers/watchers are the ones who decide what the plot is, frankly i think thats a crazy take, whether we decide which plot points are more important is an entirely different thing)
U have no idea how many people have argued with me about naruto being a good character despite him stranding away from the core theme of naruto "hard work over genius", I have seen people make argument that hard work over genius was just the theme of chunin exam arc, some even said the naruto work hard to get every single power up, even the six path sage mode.
Hey mate, just wanna give a quick warning about putting multiple lightning bolts together like that isn’t a good idea. It's seen and used as a neo-n@zi dog whistle.
Saw this on insta last days… if Hiruzen knew every jutsu of the leaf (except maybe flying rayjin or edo tensai) is there a reason he wasn’t able to use any of the eight gates against Oruchimaro? Just curious, any answers?
Hot Take: Naruto’s sexy jutsu was only perfected because of childhood neglect and lack of care. So thus (as a self proclaimed scientist) I can 110% confirm that the world was saved by one upper cut from a child who couldn’t get his “father figures (Third Hokage and Jiraiya)” unless he had proper Anime Jiggle Physics. Secondary conclusion: the world would burn without creepy men being overtly creepy
23:22 did you say Madara gets what he gets due to his own hard work? excluding his brother giving his eyes, does stealing some flesh from Hashirama twice sound like hard work? what about having his reanimated body being brought back by Kabuto let alone being brought back to his prime? A good portion of what he did (especially in the 4th war) wasn't his own hard work, more like stealing someone else's work.
Hot take: Naruto's Talk-no-jutsu is a byproduct of Kurama. Doesn't it sometimes seem like Naruto is able to sense and connect w/ people on a superhuman empathic level?
In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making Itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just any ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series.) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick than most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can some of you guys even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totuska Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying Itachi and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷🏻♂️ Here are the things that make Itachi so formidable. Tsukuyomi - A genjutsu so powerful that you literally can't escape it unless you have the same blood as Itachi, as stated by Itachi himself and proven later by Sasuke, or you're a jinchuriki. Jinchuriki are supposed to be immune to genjutsu but it hasn't been proven, but when Bee was fighting Edo Nagato and Itachi with Naruto, he said to watch out for Tsukuyomi explicitly. Literally 99% of all opponents fighting Itachi have no way of stopping Tsukuyomi. You could have the power to split the planet in half and it wouldn't matter. (Want to know why? - Kakashi pretty much state it in the actual anime and manga that Tsukuyomi it's such a dangerous Genjutsu Technique because it happen in a instant, even if you realize that you are trapped in the Tsukuyomi, it will be too late, because Itachi could approach you during that time in the real world (or he can use an Explosive Clone to approach you without you even realizing it in time and he can pretty much finish you before you can even realize, - 72 hours in Tsukuyomi realm means 1 second or a couple of seconds in the real world. Tsukuyomi can't be broken, when used to it's fullest.) The Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror - The Susanoo itself is a near invincible defense but these two weapons take it to the next step. The Sword of Totsuka can seal "anything" if it even touches it. It's completely OP. It's hard to fight a guy that can seal you away if his sword even touches you. The Yata Mirror is even a bigger deal in my opinion. It doesn't block attacks, it's "negates" them. You could throw an Amaterasu covered Bijuu bomb at Itachi and the Yata mirror will negate it, making it so the Susanoo doesn't even need to take a blow. You could punch the Yata mirror and the force will completely be negated. His biggest strength of all: tactical intelligence - Itachi always outsmarts and plans for everything because the plot demands it. You're physically strong? Itachi is already 2 steps ahead of you knowing exactly what to do. You're extremely fast? Again, 2 steps. You're going to try and outlast Itachi in a fight? Good luck. To add to this, some of the 3 most powerful techniques in the verse are due to his intelligence and planning ability; Izanami, Izanagi, and Kotoamatsukami. Izanami - A forbbiden genjutsu technique that allows you to alter someone's destiny. Impossible to break out of even if you know you're in a genjutsu without complying with the users set destiny for you. Even someone like Bee, a perfect Jinchuriki, can't escape Izanami unless he does what Itachi wants him to. Izanagi - You somehow gained an advantage over Itachi? He makes it so that advantage never happened. Kotoamatsukami - Though Shisui's technique, Itachi has his eye which effectively makes it his weapon. A genjutsu so powerful that the person it's cast on doesn't even know they're under a genjutsu. Like the Tsukuyomi, completely OP. To add to all of this, Itachi is pretty good at hand to hand combat, is great with shuriken, is extremely fast, is great with regular fire techniques, is slippery and unpredictable, and has the extremely dangerous and fast Genjutsu style of fighting approach that can caught you off guard almost at any time. With all of these things considered you've got one dangerous ninja. Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) he state it in the anime and also in the manga that these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. This is why Kishimoto basically had to give him a handicap: Naruto AIDS. 🤷🏻♂️ ☯️

Hiruzen: i regret not stopping orochimaru
Jiraiya: i regret not stopping my best friend (orochimaru) from going down that path.
Kakashi: i regret letting obito go. Those who abandon their friends are worse tha scum.
Naruto:.......yea in not gonna have those same regrets.

Exactly
True,
Don't forget Iruka-sensei's contribution too.
@GenJuhru yup the one who hiruzen taugh to swallow his resentment for kurama and not treat naruto harshly even though kurama killed irukas parents.
A main reason naruto didnt crash out
The flaw is that he doesn't kill Sasuke. In anything where he isn't the MC Sasukes damage makes Naruro at best reckless

Same
Nice,
That’s definitely a more apt thematic undercurrent for the series.
Yessss finally someone said it
Truly the hottest of takes, and yet is perfectly cooked.
yeah, but he also made the hard work thing a pretty relevant theme, and it doesn't rlly work for naruto at all
@@A_Professional_Idiot_mk.2not really, Naruto only said the hard work thing against Neji.

Naruto is not about hard work. It’s about bonds breaking curses. This is the point of Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship.

@@jaybronx98 yeah I agree. It’s a long running story with many different themes and the writing is more complex than many will give it credit for.

Okay, I don't like Naruto, but I have to defend him here. His character was *never* about hard work and all that nonsense. The story is about breaking the cycle of hatred. It has been since Chapter 1 with Iruka. The hard work/underdog thing was just his personal conflict with Neji specifically during the Chunin Exams.

You can't use his age to justify/forgive his actions when he was deemed mature enough to be the captain of the Anbu. Either he's mature enough to be given the same condemnation as any adult, or everyone else has to be made dumber for giving a child such a position of authority
The number 12 hot take is technically correct.
@@felix7720welcome to the anime community in 2024 😂
Hinata was poorly written. She was not proactive in changing the ways of the Hyuga clan. She relied on Naruto to do the heavy lifting.
Not liking her as a person and her personality is different then her being poorly written.
@emmarod8746 Is "Hinata is a poorly constructed caracther" better? 🤔🤔🤔
this^
She quite literally refused her fathers request for her to not marry out the family and then moved away from the branches, she quite literally broke free, neji sadly was the one focused on changing the branches, and sure hinata felt the need to help him finish that mission, but she kinda did it in her own way, by leaving the family which did in fact change to a loving one after hinatas decision
her writing could be better but we are expecting too much from manga which demographics focus more on male teenager fantasy
The fight with Neji was about using hardwork to overcome your fate in otherwords you can change who you are if you try hard enough that was also the point of Naruto finishing off neji with a shadow clone neji mistook it for Naruto's specialty with naruto correcting him saying it used to be his worst justu and it only seemed like he's a natural at it because he trained hard to master it
@@lightyoshiman
But...
@@lightyoshiman
The entire bell exam? The written exam of the chunin exam that he passed not by studying but rather by *staying true to himself*? Maybe lazy isn't the right word, but there are plenty of examples of Naruto distinctly not using hard work but rather his innate abilities and sheer impulsiveness.
As for the comment about Neji; *Yes. That's exactly the point*. The battle was one about defying fate, not about the hard work Naruto was putting into it. Even Naruto's catchphrase is about how he never goes back on his word.
The biggest plot hole with Danzo is why didn’t he try to be the 5th Hokage?
@ Lee frickin lost the fight as well😭 and Neji vs Naruto obviously about defying the Fate not Hardwork beat Talent.

He isn’t the strongest villain in physicality but has caused a lot damage.
definitely fascism right there
this kind of politician always forgets that a nation without it people is useless

Uhm, no?
The first Rasenshuriken, with only wind nature transformation added to the Rasengan, was specifically NOT throwable!
That came later wuth Sage Mode!
Lol, Shikamaru is Naruto's Shadow Best Friend.
@@jasonporrett810 This! 🔥🔥🔥
three points i wanna make. kakashi was never meant to be a teacher who trains team 7. he was someone who taught them what he thought he needed to learn at their age.
I agree with 2nd point, very good,
@@SaberKT14 agreed with your second point. I think Nick just says that it’s an obsession bc people critique Sakura for it and feel they should do the same to Naruto since she’s one of his fav characters. You’re pretty much spot on on why Naruto doesn’t give up on him. Comparing him to Sakura who just had an obsessive crush is an insult to Naruto’s character tbh.
naruto's obssesion with sasuke is also about how his teachers left behind theyre "brother"
Another Hot take by me
I feel like Obito was the most interesting main villain for me.
Danzo is the best villain because he actually exists and is one of the most realistic villains in fiction.
He had as much of an eye on the kid that a man in his position could have.
you are naive if you think people who only read fantasy battle manga like naruto will understand characters like hiruzen
Hiruzen has a special jonin look after and teach his grandson, he could have at least assigned a gennin to look after baby naruto
@@the_goat02but he did tho
naruto does have jonin taking care of him until he is old enough to join orphanage before Danzo reveals his identity
@716_ハディくん we literally see a 4 or 5 year old naruto starving in the street until ramen dude feeds him cuz nobody else would accept naruto
Saying Kiba would be a better MC is legitimately such a batshit crazy take, I’m convinced it was just complete ragebait
I don't mind Kiba spin-off like Rock Lee
Kiba is comedic relief after all
Ooh! MC Kiba... with akamaru having different soldier pills that their combination jutsu will also vary: two-headed/offense, liondog/defense, wolfman/speed, raiku/lightning, youko/fire, etc..
@@amberknight7301weaker level of akatuski are still the strongest ninja almost ever lol.

I love your channel you deserve more subscribers!!!
Yes, but overall the women weren't strongly written if they weren't already adults.
@cheyennemoore8380 and that is a completely fair critique, I just feel like people entirely forget about Granny chio, being such a well written character.
she's great but it doesnt make up for all the other poor written women
Isn't Wind Nature the rarest nature? That's why he got sent to Asuma. Kakashi had been shown to only use the other natures up until the Rasen training. I doubt Jiraiya even had the ability to teach him any Wind style because he never used Wind anything. The only Toad based Jutsu Naruto has ever used that involves wind was Toad Oil Bullet, which I believe Naruto had to basically learn from the ground up on how to do.
Didn't Minato seal the "Good" half of Kurama in himself while sealing the "evil" half of Kurama in his newly born infant child?
Yin and yang are utilized as shadow and light rather than good and evil. They say the nara clan utilize yin release for shadow possession while the akamichi use yang or light style for body expansion.
If I’m not mistaken it’s the other way around.

I have a personal theory that Naruto's "talk no jutsu" is watered down version of the charm shinjutsu. It gives an in universe reason for how he's able to persuade strong willed idealogs to his way of thinking such as Nagato and Obito (amongst many others)
shinjutsu didn't exist yet in shippuden
@716_ハディくん Shinjutsu did exist via Shibai and the Osutskis we as the reader were unaware of them until Boruto. Similar to DragonBall Goku was always a Sayain but the reader isn't aware of it until the arrival of Raditz.
I don't watch Boruto but I believe (in Naruto) talk no jutsu is derived from true ninshu, teachings of Ashura & Hagaromo,
@haroldhopkins7719 hmm that's an interesting angle
(if given the option)Talk no jutsu is Naruto's answer too any & every confrontation, Naruto understands empathy & compassion,
My hot take is Boruto shouldn't look so drippy in two blue vortex. Him being this cool physically hurts me because I could enjoy ragging on him before and now he is freaking cool. I used to make jokes about him being lame and now he's freaking cool. Bro went rom gen Z/alpha spoiled brat to an actual cool character talk about a freaking glow up

Thank you for these videos man there definitely great to pass the days 💪 your the man
14:38 I absolutely agree with this.
Debunked my ass. Dude agreed with a lot of them
Actually there are way too many Minato bashing / Naruto Neglect fanfics.
People like to hate on Minato for some reason.
He’s the most popular which comes with some kind of hate from people who like others it’s just how people work
I wonder if it wouldn't be better if the teams was just 2 kids and 1 teacher with Sakura on a different team may be with Hinata
This is a hot take…NC Hammer despises the Uchiha Clan except Itachi, Madara, & Obito because they had a hand in killing off the Uchiha Clan.

Yea he was a father for like an hour (if even that)
How is Sakura a better representation of "Hard work over talent" than Naruto?!
Furthermore, being born an uzumaki, the son of hokage, the host fo the most powerful tailed beast, and being a reincarnanated child of prophecy dont really help Naruto that much:
-Being the son of a hokage didnt stop an entire village from persecuting, neglecting, and abusing him for the first 13 years of his life
-he had the strongest tailed beast and was an uzumaki...and still had shitty chakra and lagged behind his peers for over half the series
-being a child of prophecy literally meant he was destined to unite the beasts and beat kaguya, and thats it. Nothing else is mentioned, we literally watch him put time and back breaking work in, and he got by with help most of the time. Also, the prophecy made him the target of multiple kidnapping and murder attempts and centered a war on him
Like, the idea that Naruto "lost the plot" as a character in this context hinges on ignoring the very loudly repeated points of the series writ large.
@@jaybronx98 exactly, hard work is only one component of his character and the series but people fixate on it bc its where the series started.

A “hot take” in essence is people being bored creating controversy for conversation.
Hot take ? Or not ?
Shisui's eye within Naruto over time, would have turned into a rinnegan,
22:28 To be fair, Kishimoto also agreed with this.

17:20 nah. He was also in charge during the kidnapping attempt of Hinata. Neji’s dad didn’t have to die if hiruzen would have gotten involved
Day 6:
Hey Nick,
How would you make it so that Naruto becomes the strongest again?
Bro Nick! I think your best hair day ever was in that Raycon add, hell yeah
Hey, my hot takes are amazing thank you very much, Nick.
I still want to see Danzo come back in Two Blue Vortex or Kishimoto expand on the Shimura Clan history and background.
Naruto: *opens bag, pulls out shadow clones*
Villain: No
Naruto: *opens bag again, pulls out Rasengan*
Villain: No
Naruto: *opens bag a third time, pulls out shadow clones with Rasengan*
Villain: No
Naruto: Well this isn't working...*adds an element type to Rasengan* THIS IS NOW MY ONLY JUSTU *cast shadow clone*
25) I hate danzo and maybe that's why he is a good character bcoz he is a villain and i am supposed to hate him .....but he is not innocent and he don't care for village or anything
24) Minato isn't a terrible father ....he became a father for 30 mins lol..... And he entrusted that responsibility to his child because he believed in his child ... So yeah he isn't a terrible father and if you take into consideration he was hokage ...his decision isn't wrong
23) I mean power wise or what ?..... If you think they were weak then i would say no they were capable to solo entire ninja world ... Obito was controlling mist ...deidara was about to destroyed a whole nation kn his own .... Pain destroyed konoha alone ..... Leaving cloud and stone .... I don't think they would stand that much if all members of akatsuki attack at once
22) That's wrong coz people misunderstood or confused between two but naruto's story isn't about hard work beats talent that's Lee's moto ..... Naruto's moto was you can change your destiny if you want and he did that he changed his and sasuke's destiny....there are things you can hate about naruto but don't misunderstand
21)i mean except team 10 ....neji and lee in og what side characters did anything?like hinata was moaning all the time and kiba froze in time
20) itachi is overrated....in character wise maybe no ..in power scaling yes ....and tge reason is simple ....itachi is popular and most people watch it from shorts so they ride him....even if they have watched the series I don't see a reason why people say itachi soloes verse etc
19) I guess it's common ... I won't say it's wrong but almost every story has one jiraya like sanji for example
18)Hiruzen as a person was bad and did many mistakes and leaving danzo alive after uchiha massacre is what makes me hate him ....but as a hokage he was good to average bcoz that man maintained peace and was hokage fkr so long for a reason
17)" Sasuke sucks " ---- take milk and sleep..... And I don't disagree he has done bad things and decisions
16)Tenten is worse ? Umm she don't have screen time and she is a ninja not a wizard from harey potter
15) I mean most of kage's decisions are bad but his plan was bad
14)I agrre ....die as a hero rather than being a package lf no use
13) I mean I can't disagree.... And funny thing people gate sakura in og naruto but what the heck did kakashi teach her ? He was busy with sasuke (i know that's imp but still) ...in shipuden he helped naruto (he is the mc but ) he objectively a failure as a teacher
12)Lol true unlike sukuna we atleast know he isn't ass pulling power but yeah madara was too powerful even for the mc to defeat
13)I agree and explained in a previous point
12) True also people hate sakura because she loves the emo guy but don't do the same hate flr naruto .... Why bcoz he is the mc and has a emotional backstory
11) well I shouldn't talk about this but orochimaru has done bad things and he is a villain ofcourse .... He got his character full circle and redemption.... And konoha decided it better to use orochimaru knowledge than killing him .... I mean yeah but how would you say that to the people who lost their loved ones because of him ?
10) I mean yeah kabuto's whole story about him finding an identity so I don't disagree with this
9) how madara died is bad but kaguya i don't think so.... She gives us knowledge why there are magicinas in a ninja world
8)I disagree ....you aren't completely wrong but the real plot is that you can change your destiny
7)I like talk no jutsu ....i mean it's unique and harder to write than just A fighting B for X reason and then A kills B and gg.... I also like it because it shows how humans can understand each other and can solve conflicts via conversation....but yeah some places the person deserves to die
6) I agree but i guess naruto can mix chakra nature in most of the jutsus he has mastered ....and why he doesn't use any other wind release ....well if you have a gun why would you fight with a stick
5)we don't need to discuss shika id naruto's best friend
4) female characters were under utilitiesed .... it's not hot take but fax....
Series ended it’s not happening
Preferring Kiba over Naruto says it all. Trash article.
Nick I truly don't understand your obession with non-canon shit but Shikamaru and Naruto were not friends man, its literal anime filler.
One thing people forget about hiruzen is he created the will of fire, the uncompromising desire to protect the village which ties directly to boruto TBV jura will learn the will of fire and will fight to protect the village thank hiruzen for that
no he didn't
hashirama created will of fire
Kishimoto leaving lots of plot holes should be a big hot take.
There are a lot of plot holes lmao but still an amazing show nonetheless
It's the same thing as the 1st "hot take" in that it's basic common knowledge. There's nothing hot about it.
No.5 hot take is so true.
Talk No Justu is so powerful they use it in other shows.
Naruto- "you little perv" Jiraiya- " I am not... I am a big one" lol
Does Nick have a new camera? Something feels fresh!
Bro is dropping heat this week
21:35 That has to be the coldest take in the history of anime and manga. I don't thinka nybody will disagree with it. lol
I think it’s hurting retention, that you take 4 minutes to start the video. Nonetheless, you produce bangers every time❤
I love when he does lists like this one,
I really don’t like “minato is bad father” take. It’s more like Hiruzen and Jiraya are kinda assholes, who risked quite a lot while betting on Naruto growing up a good man while shunned by his own village.
The only reason I really like itachi is because the dude dies twice and both times it's on his terms while completing whatever objective he had
Absolutely right about the Asura stuff. Naruto was given stuff at the end and it wasn't like his character to power up like such a Sauske.
I genuinely dislike when people say “blank was supposed to be a story about this or that” so much
the story is dictated by what the writer wants to do, not what you as the readers have committed this story to being
(edit: i dont think the readers/watchers are the ones who decide what the plot is, frankly i think thats a crazy take, whether we decide which plot points are more important is an entirely different thing)
You should do a video like this for Boruto! ⚡⚡⚡⚡
