It was explained well in show that the physically closer he got to Obito, the easier to use/more powerful his eye became. Swapping hands with him or next to him lowered the barrier to entry for those powers, plus a Naruto/kurama extension cord plugged into his backside.

46:25 to be fair, the reason why Minato said that hes bad at it is because compared to every other sage character, while he was alive he had no way to gather nature energy in battle. The yellow flash doesnt just sit around in battle. His fighting style is the exact opposite of whats needed to be considered a “good” Sage. Minato can use perfect sage mode, yes, but he can only use it for as long as he has nature chakra that he had collected before the fight. Unlike hashirama and even Jiraiya who both had ways of replenishing their sage mode either by standing on the wood golem of having Ma and Pa pull in nature energy for him. Being able to fight and pull nature energy in is what makes a sage mode user a “Good” sage mode user. Which Minato didnt become until he had the Kurama chakra form that he could fight inside of and stay still like naruto. Which probably explains why he never used saged mode while he was alive in his fight with Obito, but used it in the war. He gained Kurama allowing him to fight while standing still which gave him the go ahead to use Toad sage mode

Couldn't Minato just hypothetically use the same method as Jiraiya? The only reason pa couldn't fuse with naruto was because kurama wouldn't let it happen.
@@Slack-3R Yes, but Jiraya was alive and he was the one with the contracts for Ma and Pa, Minato didn't use them like Jiraya and Pa only tried with Naruto because Jiraya had already died, so I don't think he ever had the chance to go imperfect sage mode.

My theory is that Chakara is a spirit energy and your levels are based on your spiritual connection and how passionate you are to fight and live which is probably why in the war people seemed to have more Chakara

Minato definitely has more chakra than Sasuke. He can casually TP a full kyuubi tailed beast, then tp around and fight Obito, then reaper death seal the full kyuubi into 2 parts, first into him and then a new seal on his Son, that is 2 instances of the Sealing technique which we know are extremely chakra consuming. Then we have the proof on the Juubi were he casually tp the full tailed beast bomb CASUALLY before even tping into the battlefield, and THEN he taps in the KCM mode and THEN he teleport ALL of the shinobis in the alliance with the idea of Naruto. Both instances were of Insane chakra level marks. Hes not a Naruto (obviously because Minato + Kushina....) and Hashirama, but hes a definite top 3. That is how i see it. He just doesnt compare to Ootsutsuki levels of chakra though.

Kushina is super underrated. She survived getting the whole 9 tails taken out of her and was able to hold it down after that. Naruto died immediately after getting just half the nine tails removed. And Minato even said she was stronger than him (though that could mean different things). I wish we saw her fight. But unfortunately she’s a female character so Kishimoto didn’t give her any time to shine. I wish they were both brought back in the war arc so Naruto could’ve fought alongside both his parents.
And I’ll never forgive the storm games for giving her a fucking frying pan to fight with. That’s so sexist it should be illegal. I can’t believe they got away with that. They couldn’t make up some fake justsu for her to use? They did that for the other characters.

Not to mention that the majority of chakra feats we see from her are AFTER she gives birth. And somehow she wasn't completely incapacitated, having enough chakra and energy to chain Kurama.
It's super frustrating that we don't get much of her combat abilities in canon. Sure, there was a filler arc (or was it a movie?) where she was alive in a parallel timeline, but that was barely anything. I hate that the Storm games did NOTHING to expand upon her ninja skills or something. We learn about her chakra natures from the 4th Data Book. THE DATA BOOK. Not even in the game!
Also, the fact that her shurikens and kunai were replaced with wooden spoons still annoys me.

Kakashi said "if you were suppressing the 9 tails you'd have about 100 times as much." I took it as if naruto was not using his own Chakra to maintain control of Karama his natural Chakra would be 100 times greater. Not including kuramas Chakra.
Even if the adamantine chains suppress chakra, they still have it , they just can't use it outside their body meaning that Minato has to contend with all of the nine tails while it can't waste it with attacks

Don’t forget that Minato also learned Sage Jutsu while being trained under Jiraiya. He just never really uses it while he’s alive because his base skill set was more than enough to not need it.

I like to think more chakra doesn’t automatically make you stronger. A lot of people disagree though.
Its certainly a contributing factor, but its not the ONLY way to become stronger. I think chakra can be measured in 3 ways most of the time: quantity, potency, and control. And your overall strength is determined by an approximation of these 3 traits
I love you for this and I hate that this is how the community thinks. Although it is a big factor
It's a pretty massive factor, but chakra control can level the playing field. Since chakra is literally physical and spiritual energy combined, by default ot sort of does mean someone with 10 chakra has 10X the strength potential of someone with 1 chakra.
However, if the person with 1 chakra has 10X the chakra control as the person with 10 chakra, they should be relatively the same level of strength potential.
This is before factoring in byakugan techniques, ninja tools and weapons, poisons, bugs, and the inner gates.
In my personal opinion, someone's strength should be measured by taking all of these into account:
Toughness(Stamina and physical strength), Willpower, Intelligence, Chakra, Speed, Ninja weapons, taijutsu, genjutsu, ninjutsu, and control(fuuinjutsu, chakra control, hand seal speed).
It's all well and good until you lose a hand as a ninja.
It kind of does, notice how all the people with the higest chakra resevres are usually kage.

I’m sorry but I still think you’re under playing Sakura. She used her seal during the war twice and summoned katsuyu twice before she even gave obito chakra. And her seal still never depleted implying she still had usable chakra as we know when the byakugo runs out of chakra the seal disappears. So Sakura would be way higher on this list. (Tsunade also saved all of Konoha from pain and her seal was fading, Sakura pulled off a much better feat in the war combining her seal with tsuandes to heal the whole alliance and she outlasted tsunade…) Also Sakura in the last completely replenished Naruto’s chakra without any buffs from otsutsukis 💀
While I agree with some of these points, don't forget Sakura has the best chakra control in the entire Naruto universe. That could just mean she is so much more efficient at using her chakra, that she has zero waste while Tsunade is losing any chakra that isn't at 100% efficiency.

her seal disappeared after giving all of her chakra to katsuyu (+ she used sozo saisei to tank shinra tensei) not because she summoned katsuyu she was completely fine until shinra tensei what feats are u talking about thats not quantifiable + during the war tsunade had only 2 weeks of chakra in her seals sakura had 3 during the pain arc tsunade had + 3 years too +
@@narancia2815 tsunade used katsuyu to keep the citizens alive, when she confronted pain after Naruto showed up her seal was only fading… she then went back to the leaf and fell into a comma. Sakuras seal only just blossomed during the war arc and she already showed way better feats than tsunade… the issue is we don’t know the amount of chakra needed for the seal to appear. We assume it’s 3 years worth cuz that’s what shisune states, but we already know tsunade thinks sakuras a genius and already pulled of things she never even thought of (like storing her chakras in 2 separate pools so she can still fight and save up chakra for her seal.) so if tsunade whos part senju and uzumaki. And shizune her #2 student. Think sakuras far better at anything tsunade can do… how can they even be in the same tier?

The way Kushina gave birth which is already physically draining AND got a tailed beast ripped from her body AND SURVIVED like that’s crazy
Idk about the minato one, because on the night of his death, he ALSO teleported a fully powered tailed beast bomb from a full Kurama and he also teleported that same Kurama, I say this because he himself stated that the larger or more chakra something has that he’s teleporting, the more chakra or taxing it is on him. He also summoned Gammabunta which it took kid Naruto depleting all of his chakra and instead using Kuramas in order to summon. Also another thing that’s stated after I think Naruto and Sasuke lose their arms, is that physical damage to the body or at most losing limps, or chunks of your body also takes that chakra with it and minato lost his whole torso and still pulled off two more high level jutsu. Just a little tidbit, he more than likely has more chakra than stated in this video.
That's begs the question did Naruto ever forget SSP Mode, he never used it on Boruto
I think the reason Kakashi went no limits during the war was Naruto topping him off. He was healed by Kurama's chakra when he brought him into Kurama so he was probably the first person he made a chakra link to. The only time you see him tired after Naruto gets the full cloak is when he is downed from the extraction. As for Naruto's infinite KCM, when Kurama pulled the plug on him during the 10 tail fight, he made it sound more like a safety thing since it was their first time using it. The only time exhaustion seemed to be a factor for KCM was the Sasuke fight, and even then Kurama was topping Naruto off until HE passed out just before the final clash.

I believe Minato has more chakra than Sasuke, here me out. Usually people forget 3 more things Minato did before sealing Kurama, does being, teleporting a Biju bomb away from Konoha, which is an amazing feat considering that the heaviest the thing the harder is to teleport. Summoning Gamabumta which Naruto was not able to do in part one with out Kurama’s chakra and teleporting Kurama away. Now we can assume it’s requiere about 5 Kakashi to summon Gamabunta (doesn’t seem that far of) imagine that 10 more between the other 2 things. Now, if Kushina is suppressing about 80% of Kurama that gives 10 more Kakashi to seal half of Kurama in himself but after that he seals the other half while keeping himself alive and Kurama almost free, since the Adamantai chains are no longer holding Kurama but only touching him, let’s assume 25 Kakashi for that one. At this point we have 50 Kakashi add to it sage mode is about 75 Kakashi. Which puts Minato pretty much on Sasukes level. This is assuming that Kushina is suppressing 80% of Kurama which seems a bit too much, since, if someone suppresses your chakra so much, it will put you to sleep and Kurama was very much not sleeping.
I rest my case.
kinda true but minato doesnt have many factors going on for him..sealing half of kurama maybe a good feat but which is still wont be actual way to scale minato cause reaper death seal might not even work same way normal sealing works.. and sasuke has better feats of chakra than people give him credit for..he basically did like what 9 planetary devastation like its nothing.. and was ready to square with naruto like it didnt affect him any much..reminder that nagato heavily shortened his lifespan when he barely used one..and yes the planetary devastation sasuke used was on same scale as the one nagato used ... and summoning isnt that great of a feat tbh..speacially since in part 1 naruto's chakra control was quite bad so he could only use 4 clones in certain scenarios while kakashi even exhausted could use way more than a non exhausted naruto... and minato doesnt have a healing factor but sasuke also has shown healing factor which minato hasn't... with boruto sasuke healing from stabs against shin, and jigen.. and despite it seeming odd to sasuke having more chakra than most people on the list ...he and naruto both recieved hogoromos chakra so their both chakra massvely increased

I think this means that increasing the number of people going through the portal does not increase the chakra used as much as we thought.

I think there is a discrepancy. When Obito was using Sakuras 100 seal, he opened 4-5 portals. Which would mean a portal would use about 20-25% of a 100 seal so the maths would change some what!
Honestly probably higher too bc her seal doesn’t disappear. She’s exhausted, but she still has it. I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult trying to scale people is because it’s all convoluted to death 😂

If we go by the science, technically once the third raikage activates his cloak the drain would substantially go down. Lightning is plasma and we use this technology for our HE lights. It’s a higher output just to turn the light on but uses less to keep it going.

Two people using the same technique and only one of them being exhausted does not necessarily imply that the exhausted one has less chakra, because they could also just have worse chakra controll and use more chakra than the other one.

I really don't know where this whole "reaper death seal is decided by who has more chakra" thing comes from. It's never stated anywhere in the manga and is blatantly proven false when an exhausted Minato (who says himself that his chakra is almost gone) is able to pull half the Nine Tails out with no effort.
I think it comes from the anime , when Hiruzen explains how it works
@@teezus2036 Unless it's from the dub, since neither the manga or sub say anything about it. Honestly, Hiruzen barely explains how the jutsu works at all. With him really only saying that it's a sealing jutsu that cost the user's life and that both souls are trapped in the reaper's stomach.

You should make a video about the strongest ninjas relative to their chakra levels. For example, kakashi and itachi who were massively powerful but had very limited chakra pools
I think for the most part that is an incredible scale to use.
The only factor I think you leave out is:
Different combinations of hand signs to reach similar jutsus or the same Justus exist. An example is sasuke using one handed signs to activate his chidori or just his lightening release.
So, a theory I have is that there are multiple different combinations of hand signs to reach the same end result of a Jutsu. Like different paths or roads.
And some are more chakra efficient than others in terms of consumption.
It’s the only thing I’ve ever considered when it comes to how some jutsus get spammed later.
But also, you’d think that would become a plot point. Or at least it could.

I'd be curious how much chakra it took for Minato to flying-raijin the bijuu ball that Kurama threw at the mountain in Konoha (which was the size of one of the faces) took. That was before he even faced off against Obito, so that should also be considered in his drain prior to sealing the halves of Kurama. Any way you cut it....man was a beast.

Even though Adamantine Chains is meant to nullify the chakra of those affected it’s just a nullifying effect for use/suppression and not a removal.
Which would lead to the line of logic that Minato sealing HALF of Kurama is still consuming that quantity of chakra for it to work.

For Minato, what about the giant FR Barrier he used to teleport a tailed beast bomb? Even if the mass of chakra doesn't make the teleportation significantly more chakra depletive (it probably does though), it's still a massive space/time ninjutsu. He did all of that before the sealing.

One chakra feat that I have to give to Kakashi that has stuck out to me since I first watched the episode almost 20 years ago was Kakashi and Naruto using Shadow Clones to hold off the goon squad on the Great Naruto Bridge. They both make about 10 to 15 clones each, but Kakashi makes an internal comment about how he's almost out of chakra and doesn't think he can keep up with Naruto's output. Only to then make the EXACT SAME number of clones.
I love the fact that kakashis have officially become a standardized unit of measurement here.

What people have to understand is the food chain cycle of the aquatic life. Sharks have been known to eat other large fish like Octopus so Samehada liking the taste of Gyukki actually makes sense! Him not liking Naruto’s chakra could very well still be the case as it’s never been recorded of sharks eating foxes.

Clarification question. Youve said in the past that baryon mode is the grinding of chakra until someone runs out and dies. Given that the Kurama loses, this means Naruto has at minimum slightly more than equal chakra to Kurama. Do you no longer agree with this scaling?

Ok, from reading in the US version SJ, my understanding of gaining chakra levels was bout draining your chakra in combat would raise your base level a bit. So we know you can burn your life as a substitute. So if you burnout and use your Life Energy by 0.19 to force out a last jutsu, but you live your base chakra goes up by a multiple(it's been unclear for me atleast.) But if you spam Jutsu and win then you gain more and more base chakra but are a double sided burning candle no matter how slow. Third is hiding something
