Summertime performed by Rick Wakeman on his Live Portraits tour in 2018. Following the release of the 2017 studio album Piano Portraits, which was very well received and went Top 10 in the UK for several weeks, Rick has been touring “Live Portraits” to sell out audiences across the UK. As a lasting record Rick has decided to film and record a very special performance of “Live Portraits” at Lincoln Cathedral on 7th March 2018.

I saw you playing here in Brazil, many decades ago, with your son. You did an amazing midi controller keyboards duel together during the show. It was fantastic. For ever in my memory.
I just found this channel and could hardly believe you play this tune. I first heard King Arthur in 1976 or 1977. It was an amazing peace.
Summertime is a big favourite of mine, played so beautifully by the great man, Sir Richard of Wakeman 😄 Love everything you do ❤ Thanks Rick❣
Thanks Rick! Longtime fan! God Bless!
Your dad is VERY proud of you, Rick!
I just love listening to you play Rick. It gives me some peace of mind. Thank you 👍😌
Have really been enjoying these Ricky Wakeman 🎹 performances
Wonderful! I believe from George Gershwin's opera Porgy and Bess. A friend of mine was in the original production. His name was Al Tinney. As a kid he was the show's rehearsal pianist and they gave him a small part, too.
Rick Wakeman THE FINGERS. THE MASTER. FOREVER YES!!!🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
One of my favorite songs from one of my most favorite albums - thanks, Rick!!
One of my favorite tracks from Rhapsodies. Will see you live here in Ft. Lauderdale on March 3/11!
Beyond fabulous!
Rick "Four Hands" Wakeman ... never too late. :P All the best mate!
I love his version of this from "Rhapsodies", I have both this and "Seahorses" on my phone so I can listen to it anytime I wish. Usually while I'm traveling, or sitting around during lunch break at work.
Love the sound of those Steinway Giller pianos 👍
Wow! That was gorgeous!
still love to hear you play Sir. Always will.
Come on Rick all us yes fans know you have at least three hands how else could you play as fast as you do. Lovely take on Summertime.
Rics version as recorded on the album Rhapsodies is beyond compare. I especially love the bluesy break mid tune which resolves uniquely. and renders it unforgettable. Nearly so here too.
Very cool version. I'm sitting here and my computer says it's 15 degrees outside. How I wish it was summertime. Thanks Rick.
Love love love
Magnifique!
Fantastic, Hugs from Brazil. 🎹🎵🎶⚽🎶🎵
Wonderful interpretation, very Rick Wakeman'ish which is synonym with great! This winter I have found a lot of secondhand classical music on vinyl in secondhand stores, and most of the records is as new. There is nothing like collecting vinyl and playing LPs, great sound and a special feeling to hold the vinyl record.
Saw your Grumpy tour in Annapolis. And the time at Ramshead when the crowd pissed you off and you walked off. I didn’t blame you. Don’t stop touring, you are fantastic. A master of the instrument.
Doc Watson played this often at Merlefest in North Carolina. Your version would be right at home here. Thank you for sharing!
This makes me want a wood paneled office. And a butler I scream at when I notice the brandy he brought me was not in a warmed glass.
Very very nice.
yes, a great pianist...
Magnifica pieza musical.
It would take 4 hands..no problem for you Rick !
This is excellent treatment of Gershwin work.
Marvellous. Where is this filmed Rick? And when?
Nice to hear about how your dad encouraged you.
You are great! I wait for you in Fort Lauderdale!
