On South African models: you have to ignore the top tabs mentioned here, grip the middle of the cover firmly with both hands, pull it up towards the headlight to release the bottom clips, then towards the center of the car to release to out clips.
Hey man, there’s an abundance of fog lights, headlight, taillight bulbs on Amazon or eBay that have built-in resistors in order to not throw codes on your dash. Why did you go for these instead?
I bought some white leds with canbus and when I mounted them an error appeared in my dash saying I had no fog lights, did you have any problem with that?
@ I ended up just dealing with the error codes. It’s pretty annoying. I’m tempted to remove the speaker for the beeping sounds given that it’s independent to the ones for the radio
Yeah I believe it requires taking off the front bumper. I found that out when I needed a new fog light cover at the junkyard and the only B7 was a non S Line.
I would not use that kind of led bulb you installed. You are now making the foglight more as a DRL. You are now spreading a lot of light in all directions. Do not use that type of led light in the night if you do, it is very annoying. Buy some other kind of led that has the light source placed at the same place as the filament on your halogen bulbs, they look flat. If you want similar light output you need to have one of those who uses headsinks. You get that light warning because the l LED isn't consuming as much power as your halogens.

What bulb did you use, h7 or h11?

Yeah that is why I was annoyed. I got canbus decoders and still had the issue. I have a similar issue with my DRLs.
@@automotiveaddictions679 did you find any solution or you just run with the code errors ?

Well well good explanation but I have no sline bumper and as it turned out its waaaayyyy more complicated there.

I have 2006 a4 b7 this isn’t how they come out, on mine the whole bumper has to be removed
Have the exact same problem with the errors.
bro i literally did the same thing with my 2008 a4 and it got those same freaking cluster warning beeps!!!!! it's so annoying
My grill won’t come out
There are two clips at the top that need to be pried and then another one at the back. Just pry the two and then pull out
Do they take h11?
@@hydrotones yes

I have LED DRLs. I use my foglights pretty exclusively as I find the beeping noises to be quite annoying. I appreciate your insight.
