Sona Jobarteh est la première femme virtuose de la Kora(Korafola) issu d'une famille griotte d'Afrique de l'Ouest . Rompant avec la tradition, elle est un pionnier moderne dans une ancienne tradition héréditaire dominée par les hommes où l'apprentissage de la kora a été exclusivement transmis de père en fils depuis sept siècles
Afrika is rich of culture, in Africa in the village, we don't mostly need electricity, children gather at night from different corners of the village, to play in the moonlight, girls and boys chasing, running and joking... Some go to have fairy-tale, narrating educative fiction.... We don't need android, WiFi but we need the beauty of the nature.... In afrika when the rain start falling you sleep endlessly well, when sun start shining you don't want it to goes off .... We need no pumping or working day and night to fill our bank accounts for nothing. Happiness costs nothing, happiness is our goal ... Everyone is respected... The elders in Afrika are like libraries to us! Peace and love

Sona is singing about touramakan a great warrior and soundiata ‘s cousin ( sona joborteh ancestor) . He was so brave that he did his own grave and wanted to try to commit sucide just because the sorcerer king soumaoro Kanté insulting the emperor. Touramakan asked soundiata to give him the permission to go fight the sorcerer king and he will just kill himself because he can’t let that slide.

Sona…..! Les DIOUBATÉ et les TRAORÉ ont beaucoup d’éléments de l’identité et de la l’héritage ancestral du peuple MANDING :
( 1 )- La KORA ! Vous avez en commun, la paternité de cet instrument musical à vingt - une ( 21 ) cordes. Témoin de la naissance et de la décadence du célèbre empire MANDING ; témoin des moments de gloire et de détresse du peuple MANDING.
Pour la jouer, il faut être MANDING, parler MANDING mais, surtout de ces hommes de culture : qui ont donné à la KORA ses références identitaires d’instrument de musique africain qui soit beau de par sa structure de construction, de conception, jouissant d’une popularité , et aujourd’hui comme acteur de la mondialisation et de l’interprétation des cultures, des civilisations et des instruments de musique.
Oui Sona, au regard de ces valeurs de l’identité du peuple MANDING, DIOUBATÉ et TRAORÉ ont le même droit de paternité de la KORA. En effet, Sona la KORA est d’origine africaine, de ll’afrique de l’ouest, de la sénégambie et plus précisément de KANSALA BOROKOLON du GABOU - GAMBIE. C’est TOURAMAN qui remettra aux femmes génies du GABOU de donner la KORA à Djéli MADI Oulé et à Fili MAKAN DIOUBATÉ.
OUI SONA….! TRAORÉ et DIOUBATÉ sont en fait les deux branches d’un même tronc d’une même culture d’une même valeur, d’une même dimension de l’identité d’un même peuple, d’une même nation fruit d’une même culture et tradition.
Par ailleurs, l’origine du clan des DIOUBATÉ Selon la tradition MANDING découlerait des deux frères TRAORÉ : , chasseurs et le grand frère qui aurait pris peur devant le buffle et le cadet Ulani réussira à triompher de l’animal.
