Oklahoma's One and Only Shrimp (Prawn) Farm

Oklahoma has a strong agriculture industry, but you might be surprised that it includes shrimp farming. Technically prawns, Pansies and Prawns in Guthrie, Oklahoma started a pilot setup for raising shrimp in the fall of 2023.
Our visit was in September of 2024 and we learned about water quality, chemistry, shrimp biology, and the benefits of local farm raised shrimp.
