This time we’re rebuilding & customizing this pair of worn out Sperry’s boat shoes.
These shoes are about 7 years old and in much need of some love. We’ve replaced the soles & cleaned them up to make them look good as new again.

NICEly done... question... did the customer request NOT to replace the iconic Top Sider leather lace on the side? I think the shoe woulda POPPED a little more, with the lines and profile of shoe. Excellent job still... greetings from California. 💚💛❤👊
Wow, I am impressed by those machines. In my third world country, I had my shoes repaired by a shoemaker who hand sew the soles.
Mastering the art of hand stitching is a gratifying skill to have. Machines play a vital role in this craft, they come with significant costs both in their acquisition and maintenance.
@@KWSHOEREPAIR True but they do make shoe repair a lot easier especially as one gets old. I kinda pitied that old shoemaker because I could see how hard it was to do the stitching with a big needle at his age.
I have same sperry like this, I bought in 2013. Have'em resoled with Vibram 2021 and welted circa the years of 2020.

My favorite job at the shop was taking the old rubber bottoms off of duck boots and the like and replacing them with new.

I've barely worn mine but in storage the rubber has perished and gone very brittle. Not sure if this repair would cost more than what I paid for the shoes new, though!

I really enjoyed wearing my old sperry’s but my heels would hurt after wearing them. If the owner of these experienced the same discomfort, I’m sure it’s solved with these soles! Ugly, but comfortable I’m sure.
They are not meant for heavy, long walking, you need proper walking shoes for that, "boat shoes", even the name says it.
Putting insoles will make any shoes comfortable to wear. I have done so many times.
I work out in mine. 2 mile walks and par course. Either adjust your gait or lose weight?

Great video. You do nice work. Those shoes seemed to be too small to belong to a man but I find it hard to believe a woman would trash a pair so badly. Whoever owns them should be happy now.
