Hallo Gunnar, more I follow your videos and more and more I'm going on conviction that you come from Mars planet!!!!! ASTONISHING !!!! Your music feel myself gooseskin
Well on the topic of the first piece: It's the Waltz Op. 64 No. 2 by Chopin in C# Minor, sheet music should be easy to find, the rest is improvisation and playing it in a certain style, I'm pretty sure specific sheet music for this performance doesn't exist.
I know this guy is great, but this surely can't be his best performance. The base was too sloppy; too many slurred notes and missed keys. Ever listen to Johnny Guarnieri play? He's just as fast and offbeat, but plays even more difficult stuff and he never slurs a note or misses his base octaves as bad as this -- or ever, for that matter. If you haven't heard him, he's here on RUclips ...the best ever.
nothing within the accepted parameters of ragtime. It simply doesn't work. the Chopin pathetic and he ought to get his hands in synchronisation. The Grieg was better but amateurish, full of wrong notes etc and both pieces were a waste of time in playing and hearing.
Stuart Tanner . WTF do you know about this style of playing? This Norwegian pianist is at the pinnacle of fabulous. Enjoy it and STFU about his playing, you embecile!!!!!!
Bravo! Everything should have a ragtime version in this world
Chopin's Funeral Rag.
love it when a pianist gets some fun by playing on his way in inspiration !
This guy is pretty bad ass

One of the very best in this business.
I wish we could go back in time and show this to Glenn Gould. Maybe he would have gotten into Chopin
So serious. Swing put smile on your face.
pretty darn cool! A really nice pick-me-up on a grim Sunday in 2020.
Cocaine is one hell of a drug
Edvard Grieg - Anitra's Dance (PJ M.G. Larsen's Rag Remix) xD

Anitra's Dance was pretty powerful - absolutely would have given Donald Lambert a run for his money. Thanks for sharing!!!!

What the chopinata! Haha
Lovely playing, but some of it would be disaster to publish, and re-play! Takes extra skilled playing as illustrated here! :)
krass, krasser, am krassest!
❤️
Fantastic playing! The Chopin piece lends itself well to ragtime.... /watch?v=OQL6l9_0pOU
молодец
ям крок красавчик
I heard a broken string at 4:46. Anyone?
I just see a piano that's been beaten around and hear one that has the entire upper end out of tune.
Minute Waltz?!
Op. 64 n°2 :)
genius!
sheet music. SHEET MUSIC
why ??

You dare ...
Syncopated? Yes. Ragtime? No.

Guarnieri doesn't create superb arrangements like this! Relax and enjoy.
Didn't care for it. Feels forced. Missing the gravitas of the chopin, missing the happiness of ragtime

well chopin has a piece called wrong note with is similar to parts of this
Lol, you do know that ragtime is per definition syncopated right? Not synchronized. The clue is in the name ''rag-time''.
Stuart Tanner
I would like to hear YOU playing....
Mr.OKAY - this style is called STRIDE PIANO not RAGTIME......
