I personally really like both GameRanx and OutsideXbox for this exact reason, to me they always feel like they're drawing from their own experiences. It really helps that both channels are a team of people, so they can just discuss all of the different experiences that the different team members had
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados III are two of the best stealth games I have played in the last 5 years. Really enjoy the team-based, isometric style of those games.
I'm tempted to pick up Desperados as I liked Shadow Tactics, but I heard it's just a reskinned game, so I'm not sure. Do they actually introduce anything new/meaningful
You know I feel like the Arkham season has a lot more difficult stealth seeing as Batman’s movement is less easy to control, but it’s still super satisfying freaking your enemies out with batarangs and hanging people from the gargoyles
Splinter Cell Choas Theory was the first stealth game I played. It took me a while to get used to it, but I loved it. The final levels really pushed you to do your best to create darkness and save your equipment.
Shoutout to the Sly Cooper series, marked my childhood and I still have that fanboy thing in me! Hoping Sony revives the IP with the PS5, we can only hope!
Tenchu!! So glad you mentioned it. Not enough people knew them but I loved those games. Number 1 was the reason my brother and I begged our mom for a playstation and we played it non-stop. And I bought them all and loved each for different reasons, but they were all so lovingly crafted and such satisfying experiences.
Thank you. I really enjoyed that game. It had parts of Assassin's Creed with parkour and Hitman with disguises set in WW2. I mentioned on my list of games with stealth elements. To bad EA published it so we'll never get another one.
Tenchu "the father of all ninja games" really needs a remake or remastered version, everything in that game makes you feel like a true ninja. It should be placed much higher, nonetheless, thanks for mentioning it.
Assuming by the description in the vid, maybe you should try Pixel Shinobi: Nine Demons of Mamoru? I didn't play Tenchu, so I may be wrong, but in my opinion it's the best stealth action game I've played to this point.
Should have added Manhunt in this. Incredible game with top notch atmosphere. Where you switch from being the prey or the predator in the blink of an eye.
It’s sad that stealth games are so few and far between these days. My favorite genre, really. Games like Dishonored, Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex are all phenomenal series and then you’ve got the Action/Stealth hybrids that do it well like The Last of Us, Sekiro, Far Cry, Batman Arkham Series, The Evil Within and the like have awesome stealth elements, it’s just a shame we’ve lost classics like: Thief, Splinter Cell, Tenchu, and Manhunt.
I thoroughly enjoyed going through “Wolfenstein: The Old Blood” as stealthy as possible. Silenced pistol, silent takedowns and throwing knives were my jam.
I remember playing the first two Thief games on PC. Loved them. Dishonored is the closest I've seen in recent years. Ghost of Tsushima is pretty okay for stealth.

Totally... The 2d platformers Assassins Creed Chronicles should have been mentioned with Mark of the Ninja having being heavily influenced by this classic! Such a good game!
Fun fact: Fromsoft developed Tenchu before Dark Souls made them famous. Sekiro actually began development as a Tenchu reboot but eventually took on a life of its own as more and more new ideas were introduced.
Dishonored 2 in my opinion is the best stealth game ever (even though I admit I haven't played most of the old gen stealth games). It's complex but at the same time so fun to play, you have magic powers that are cool, and give you a lot of creative opportunities. You can throw bottles, glasses, vases to make noise and distract guards or attract them. You can stop time! In addition to that the story changes based on how you behave in the game and what choises you make. And the mission, they are never boring, they aleays have some elements that make them unique and original. I don't wanna spoil anything but... The Aramis Stilton mission is simply awesome, and who played the game knows why for sure.
Have you watched stealthgamerBR play dishonored? Honestly mind blowing if you are a fan of the series. He is really fun to watch play any stealth game.
Thank you for mentioning Tenchu. I absolutely loved tossing poisoned rice chunks to overweight guards to eat right off the ground. Those were the good ol days. The stealth mechanic was such a new thing in those days that it made the game quite unique.
It was cool, but too scripted. Not the mechanics fault, more like linear nature if the levels. What would be cool to see is the structure of levels like in Sniper Elite 4-5, where you don't have like open world, but more like open massive levels. It allows more dynamic geography, more compact, but way interesting levels and overall more interesting I think.
Dude, mgs5 is so ahead of its time. It’s the best stealth game released to date, and I’ll die on the hill defending it lol. Even today, nearly 7 years later it’s ahead of its time.
I would absolutely love to see the same list, but for the Strategy based games, I believe that a lot of amazing strategy games are under the radar, come and go quietly and undeservedly so. There are these big hype strategy based games like Civilization and AOE for example, but man there is more out there! I never expected something big from CNC3 Tiberium Wars but mate, that was amazing game! So PLEASE, strategy based games, love the content, keep up the good work.
I absolutely love the Styx games. They both have their flaws, but I feel like they really improved the "Don't touch or disturb anyone" aspect of the second game. In the first one it was often impossible or at least REALLY hard to get all the medals without killing anyone, but in the second I feel like they doubled down on the stealth aspect in a way of "The less you disturb them, the less they will be a problem for you"
I platnium’d the first one. LOVE IT!!! You have ANY idea how hard it was in the prison NOT to be seen lol??? Omg lol. My palm were sweating worse than a whore’s confessions in church lol. 😂 They are well done and unique. Goblin…. You get caught it’s game over. Not being able to fight back does kinda suck but it makes you depend more on traps, tools and clones :) 💜
I'm pretty surprised to see the shadow of war games not pop up. I thought it had great stealth mechanics. The enemy army system really enhanced it for me from poisoning a grog barrel to sabotage a feast, or outright taking them under your command to make them do your bidding. It was incredibly fun; I hope that there is a third in the series one day.
one of the last games I've played, Kingdom come Deliverance. the stealth is so hard, but when you manage to clear a camp without being notice it feels so good
I spent like 10 minutes total trying to clear a camp of 4 dudes and when I got the last guy, I felt so accomplished, especially because my stealth skill was like 4 lol
I still remember doing that quest where you sabotage an Executioner's gears. In my case I delayed the quest for far too long that I just realize I only got 9-12 hour left to finish it, and at that time it's pitch dark in the middle of the night. I don't even have any food left AND I got a bounty on me at Rattay, it's really *Now or Never* . I can't use Rattay to take the shortcut into the camp, so I roam the forests around Rattay. I got inside the camp, can't see shit, do the job, and leave. The thing is, it's almost dawn and the quest will fail when the sun rises, got no choice other than making my way back to the Executioner's house right through Rattay. With my stomach grumbling at every second, I made it to the exit gates (I don't even remember how I slipped through the guard at the gates) I made it to the house on time and then enjoy the humiliation of an executioner from my hardwork. Fun times.
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is my all time favorite. Rarely could a game achieve to grab my attention until I managed to finish all levels with a zero in all categories (zero kills, knockouts, zero spottings, zero shots fired) as well as being played on the hardest difficulty. The coop mode was the cherry on the cake and back then I even met the genius competitive player ::Noire:: online and tried to keep up with that legend (speed running plus no kills etc.) I will never forget about this experience. Especially the story was superb. Sam Fisher was a legend back then before it went Double and convictive only to end on a black list.
I love stealth games. I've played the series of Dishonored, Sniper, Assassin's Creed, Hitman. Now I'm playing Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, which I consider as semi-stealthy. Love them all. Love this video, makes me wanna try other games mentioned.
I feel like middle earth shadow of mordor could have been there because sometimes being sneaky when there are 30 orks being stealthy and create diversion to escape or do a silent execution is a good way to go around
Totally agree! The mechanics introduced in Shadow of Mordor and perfected on Shadow of War were amazing. A lot of possible approaches to the same mission. And they can be quite challeging sometimes.
@@supplantermusic9413 yeah Sekiro, and any souls game, isnt really a stealth game. Even if you wanna be sneaky at first, you pretty much have to go loud because every major enemy has at least two lives.
The Commandos series have been underrated for a long time honestly. A team of commandoses infiltrate Nazi bases and do all sorts of stuffs really stick to me to this day.
Metal gear, Syphon filter and Tenchu were my introduction to gaming why back in the 90's, but I have to say that Dishonored has to be one of the greatest games of all time.
I was worried that you'd forgotten the thief series, glad to see it got top spot. They were the first stealth games I played and I managed to finish them on the hardest mode. Great videos keep up the good work.
Thief's cyberpunk cousin System Shock 2 has a stealth element that I've always really enjoyed. Because they both share the Dark engine, the player in both games has this weighty quality to it that you never see anymore. You can bump into objects in the world and if you knock something heavy over, the sound it makes will draw enemies.
It's overlooked because the stealth mechanics were kind of hidden. Everything from the early Thief games was there but they didn't really push it. If, like me, you played it around the same time you could easily fall into the habits and ghost much of the game. All the mechanics were built into the engine and AI.
far cry 6 is a pretty good stealth game. the first time i played it i just went in guns blazing and had very boring fights where loads of guys came at me and i just mowed them down. but during my 2nd play through i heavily leaned into the stealth aspect, killing enemies from the shadows with high powered scopes and silencers and it was much more fun and challenging.
@@bane9951 No, but moving around a map without being spotted or sounding the alarm, especially on the harder difficulties is about as much stealth focused as a game like hitman 3. and clearing out a bunker or a building isnt possible from afar with a sniper, most of the time you need to crouch around with a silenced pistol and make sure that an enemy is alone before you make a move or hope that you can take down all enemies before they can fire back or raise the alarm or your gun over heats and the silencer fails.
FC6 has one of the best shooting mechanics. It's a shame the story is so boring. But playing stealth in the hardest difficulty is an amazing experience.
Definitely should have Far Cry on this list. Taking down an outpost in a stealthy fashion is amazing. The fact that StealthGamer highlights Far Cry the most shows how much stealth potential are in those games for top tier players.
As long as a you "Go Quiet" till you get caught, then it still lets you "Go Loud", I'm all for it. As far as missing stealth games from the list, Rainbow Six, Manhunt and Payday 2.
No! Stealth is at its best when you are heavily punished for failing to use stealth, to the point where you will die almost instantly. Payday 2 has underrated stealth. It's very unique and statisfying. Sprint, jump, crouch, sprint, jump, crouch.
@@faderunnerx7230 The Rainbow Six games released 20 years ago had planning stages before the level where you would look at blue prints, mark routes and plan of engagement. It's no Doom or COD. It's a tactical shooter where stealth was a large component.
Been replaying all the Arkham games lately. Started with Origins, then Asylum, now I'm on City. I can never get tired of the stealth in these games. So much fun to hide up in the shadows and take down baddies when they least expect it.
The remarks they make are funny too with their heavy Boston accents. "It's da bat!" And making them so scared they just flee when they notice all their goon buddy's are strung up from gargoyles, lol. I hope they make a new one someday.
It wasn't fully a stealth game but I loved the stealth aspects of Golden Eye. Yea, I'm showing my age but as a kid I loved taking out npc's with Bond's silenced pistol.
^ tf? Yes, great point. You had to sneak around and keep from alerting the guards and having them hit the alarm and set of a spawn of unlimited enemies. It was a lot of fun back then!
Since you put it as a honorable mention, I’ll just say that I feel that Ghost of Tsushima deserves a place more so than some others. Due mainly to the fact that you can choose to play as the “Ghost” and complete most everything silently (which can be pretty hard) and also the dedicated stealth portions, which are great (also you fail if you’re caught). The producers of Sly Cooper made this game sooo yeah, they know how to do stealth atleast well enough to get Sly on here (one of my childhood games).
@@Sigmundfrued so true. For some reason a lot of people think that just because a game has some stealth elements to it, it has to be considered a stealth game. There are some hybrids like the Arkham games, that are somewhat stealth games while not being full stealth games, but most games that have stealth elements arent stealth games really at all.
agreed. even though not a typical stealth game, you were required to stealth through some sections, otherwise you just wasted ammo and recources, especially on higher difficulties stealth was essential and so much fun.
I was about to comment this. The game is not really stealth, but you kinda need to be on higher difficulty. There's no way early enough ammo in the whole game to get through the entirety of it on loud.
Hey Gameranx. As dumb as this may sound your videos really help keep me going. Super nice to just listen to something so relaxed and unfettered by the bullshit of this world. Keep it up

Props for mentioning Syphon Filter(it, Metal Gear, FF 7 & 9 were my PS faves), Styx and Aragami. I'd mention Sniper Ghost Warrior and Alpha Protocol for true stealth games. As far as games that you can do a lot of stealth in I'd mention Far Cry, Horizon, Sekiro, Homefront the Revolution, Crysis, Wolfenstein(2009 and Old Blood especially), Skyrim, Manhunt, The Saboteur, Tomb Raider, We Happy Few and Metro series. I love stealth and if a game has the option for it, it's how I'm going to play it as much as I can. I'm hoping we get a new Deus Ex, Splinter Cell and Thief games sometime in the future.
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins should have been much farther up the list IMO. It needs a reboot, no changes to story or mechanics needed, just updated visuals and it would be a hit.
I would love to see Tenchu series rebooted, but it would need a big upgrade in gameplay mechanics. The last Tenchu game was released in 2006 and gameplay in these 15 years evolved to be more accessible. I loved Tenchu, but I loved the second game better. It is funny that so many years have passed and yet I still remember this sentence. Echigoya, where have you hidden? BTW: we should not forget the soundtrack of Tenchu, it was really good.
@@sifutenzsako2701 i think tenchu is a bit too hard for Casual Player nowadays, well sure There are a lot of people that like Souls-Like game, but i think Tenchu, was Targetted for stealth fans(because stealth was hard back in the day)not souls-like fans , so making the same formula in this era, might not work nicely
People somehow say Dishonored is underrated, but Deathloop truly is underrated. It is a fantastic game with characters you come to love or hate, an amazing story, and a truly unique concept! It's one of my favorites just from one playthrough. I love the way you can tackle the entirety of the game in different ways and that its encouraged. The dialouge and voice acting are actually top tier, too! I highly recommend!
Stealth against infected in part 1 and 2 feels scripted and easy for me. I think the stalkers are the only one that's slightly harder. Playing the game on survivor, there are infected literally standing in the corner and looking down at a wall. While the only ones that move are clickers who are blind. There are also other moments where the levels feel like it is giving you a way out and a way to avoid the zombies easily. The human enemies are good tho. Sad you can't carry bodies, light doesn't effect an enemy's view, hiding on grass no matter the time of day will 100% keep you safe unless there are dogs or an enemy is touching you, you can't really play around with your enemies any other way than distracting them with bottles, and the tools at your disposal for stealth is pretty darn basic (silenced pistol, silenced submachine gun in the end, a bow, a knife, proximity mine, smoke bombs, molotovs and I think that's pretty much it). Just like part 1, I don't feel like TLOU's stealth insentivizes you to not get caught. It always feels like an action hide and seek game where you get caught and you can hide back to stealth so easily and it creates this flow of combat. I don't think the steath is bad, I just think it's okay. A few steps above any Assassin's Creed's stealth I think. I would probably put it in my top 20 but I don't think it's reaching top10

Aaaah Tenchu, tenchu, tenchu... you really need to make a comeback. I'm with you Jake, I loved Wrath Of Heaven... Played the fuck out of it. Also, I'm 150 years old, so loved Siphon Filter first... I think it was my first stealth game maybe. MGS2 was my jam in that series, although 4 doesn't get the love it deserves. I like and enjoy the sneaking in Ghost of Tsushima, but... It's base stealth. It's just hiding in reeds then popping out to slit a throat. It's not challenging stealth. The master of using stealth properly would be Splinter Cell. It's use of light/dark and sound, are unparalleled to this day, in my opinion.

Am I crazy, or was this the most authentic-sounding list ever? Like, I've heard a billion of these kinds of videos, and this dude actually sounded like he was just talking about his favorite games. Really good job. Felt like listening to a friend.
I personally really like both GameRanx and OutsideXbox for this exact reason, to me they always feel like they're drawing from their own experiences. It really helps that both channels are a team of people, so they can just discuss all of the different experiences that the different team members had
And their timestamps!
IDK, I honestly felt like a few of these were definitely sponsored. But I don't watch a lot of videos like this.
Some great stealth games, though!
That's cuz jake is the man
"listening to a friend", very true.
Styx is so underrated, the character, the world, and the music are on top, my top 3 game for sure
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados III are two of the best stealth games I have played in the last 5 years. Really enjoy the team-based, isometric style of those games.
I picked up Desperados 3 recently myself and damn what an amazing game and i love the western story
Shadow Tactics is AMAZING
I'm tempted to pick up Desperados as I liked Shadow Tactics, but I heard it's just a reskinned game, so I'm not sure. Do they actually introduce anything new/meaningful
Same, i want to try desperados 3, its on gamepass is it worth checking out? Like i though it was turn based or top down management games there
If you liked desperados you should also try the commandos series, although it’s pretty old
You know I feel like the Arkham season has a lot more difficult stealth seeing as Batman’s movement is less easy to control, but it’s still super satisfying freaking your enemies out with batarangs and hanging people from the gargoyles
Thought batman would be higher on this list. First two games I thought of were the assassins creed and arkham games when I saw the stealth video title
It had the easiest stealth mode EVER. If you genuinely thought the Arkham games had tough stealth. Then, you've never played a good stealth game
I can still hear those goons in my sleep...
It's the freakin' bat!
Isnt there like 17 easily to get to gargoyles always in a clear area out sections
That's why it's popular. Batman+graphics+Not too tough without upping difficulty beyond normal.
Splinter Cell Choas Theory was the first stealth game I played. It took me a while to get used to it, but I loved it. The final levels really pushed you to do your best to create darkness and save your equipment.
Same. I mean... when you start with the best of the best is difficult to find another valid candidate.
SCCT was my first stealth game too
I would really love to see continuation of the AC Unity and the French charming assassin Arno. The parkour is insane.
yes, this 100%
As someone who grew up with the AC series, I'd like tos second this too
Shoutout to the Sly Cooper series, marked my childhood and I still have that fanboy thing in me! Hoping Sony revives the IP with the PS5, we can only hope!
Sly’s one of the best sony franchises, tbf
I got the trillogy on ps3, which eas amazing to replay, but yes! Absolutely needs to be revived for modern consoles. At least for posterity
literally my favorite game of all time
One of the best games I've ever played, I really hope for a new game that focuses on the stealth mechanics
Tenchu!! So glad you mentioned it. Not enough people knew them but I loved those games. Number 1 was the reason my brother and I begged our mom for a playstation and we played it non-stop. And I bought them all and loved each for different reasons, but they were all so lovingly crafted and such satisfying experiences.
The Saboteur had amazing stealth gameplay, a crazy underrated game imo.
Thank you. I really enjoyed that game. It had parts of Assassin's Creed with parkour and Hitman with disguises set in WW2. I mentioned on my list of games with stealth elements. To bad EA published it so we'll never get another one.
Sighs, how I miss Pandemic Studios. They had pretty good games, Destroy all Humans have a bit a cool stealth mechanics as well.
that game is amazing and deserves more than it got
Tenchu "the father of all ninja games" really needs a remake or remastered version, everything in that game makes you feel like a true ninja. It should be placed much higher, nonetheless, thanks for mentioning it.
Sekiro is a spiritual successor to this series
But not really.
Sadameeeeeeee
Assuming by the description in the vid, maybe you should try Pixel Shinobi: Nine Demons of Mamoru? I didn't play Tenchu, so I may be wrong, but in my opinion it's the best stealth action game I've played to this point.
@@septimor32 But it is. They were working on is as a "Tenchu reboot" but decided it to be its own thing. It plays the same way.
Unfortunately nobodies found a way to pair stealth games with seasonal content

@@toastedt140 no kidding

Dude, the original Splinter Cell titles...
It's just not profitable anymore... Sad but true...
I thoroughly enjoyed going through “Wolfenstein: The Old Blood” as stealthy as possible. Silenced pistol, silent takedowns and throwing knives were my jam.
The end credits song for that game was brilliant too.

I think they should’ve mentioned Shadow of Mordor. The different ways you can sneak around and use your environment to take out enemies and just cause mayhem was really great and underrated
its stealth is about as well designed as any shit ass ubisoft game. Game has great chunky combat, but the stealth is shit.
Glad to see Mark of the Ninja getting some well-deserved love.
Great fn game
Totally... The 2d platformers Assassins Creed Chronicles should have been mentioned with Mark of the Ninja having being heavily influenced by this classic! Such a good game!
I totally agree!
Oh yeah Tenchu was one of my favorites. And yes it needs a serious come back 👍🏾
This is why i liked the 2nd aragami. Closer to tenchu. Desperately awaiting a proper remake
Have you played shinobido?
Tenchu and splinter cell both need to return
Sneaking around in feudal japan is the best!

I think ghost recon: future soldier had some great stealth elements. It was really fun taking out groups of enemies with the synchronized shots
Same that was the first ever stealth game I ever played. I wish they would remaster it
I loved the old school Ghost Recon games. I got around to Wildlands, last year, and it just did not have the same feel that the older ones brought.
MGS4 really felt like it had the best stealth in the series, octocamo is just tooooooooo cool, especially when you get the face mask too!!
FINALLY! A reasonable man! And the best action too!
"MOSES! Where our fates were born! And where your ends, Snake!"
Dude, mgs5 is so ahead of its time.
It’s the best stealth game released to date, and I’ll die on the hill defending it lol.
Even today, nearly 7 years later it’s ahead of its time.
MGS4 felt too action focused to me. Not enough penalty for getting caught and it just turns into any 3rd person action game. MGS3 was a lot better.
In the first one it was often impossible or at least REALLY hard to get all the medals without killing anyone, but in the second I feel like they doubled down on the stealth aspect in a way of "The less you disturb them, the less they will be a problem for you"
glad someone remember styx ... i wish they make a third one

i’m a big fan of kcd
Fun times.
that game is amazing put over 100 hrs into it easy
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is my all time favorite. Rarely could a game achieve to grab my attention until I managed to finish all levels with a zero in all categories (zero kills, knockouts, zero spottings, zero shots fired) as well as being played on the hardest difficulty. The coop mode was the cherry on the cake and back then I even met the genius competitive player ::Noire:: online and tried to keep up with that legend (speed running plus no kills etc.)
I will never forget about this experience. Especially the story was superb. Sam Fisher was a legend back then before it went Double and convictive only to end on a black list.
Love stealth games or even just some games that have some fun stealth sections like ghost of Tsushima
Are you on the square...
Dishonored and Hitman are my favourites hands down
I love stealth games. I've played the series of Dishonored, Sniper, Assassin's Creed, Hitman. Now I'm playing Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, which I consider as semi-stealthy. Love them all. Love this video, makes me wanna try other games mentioned.
"Prey (2017)" had some awesome stealth moments, especially when you consider that you had to hide for the giant stalker in the further levels
And they can be quite challeging sometimes.
shoulda been an honorable mention instead of sekiro. soulsbornekiro is my favorite series but the stealth is doodoo. glad its there tho
@@supplantermusic9413 yeah Sekiro, and any souls game, isnt really a stealth game. Even if you wanna be sneaky at first, you pretty much have to go loud because every major enemy has at least two lives.

Syphon filter was super fun to me. It was actually challenging too. Some of those levels took me forever to beat first time around. Truly challenging.
Commandos-now that was a tough super-stealthy series!
far cry 6 is a pretty good stealth game.
the first time i played it i just went in guns blazing and had very boring fights where loads of guys came at me and i just mowed them down. but during my 2nd play through i heavily leaned into the stealth aspect, killing enemies from the shadows with high powered scopes and silencers and it was much more fun and challenging.
you just headshot everything with a silenced gun from afar, not exactly a stealth game

Just make these two types difficulty settings and you're good, then?

You can play alot of games stealthily like Ghosts of Tsushima, I wouldn't really consider it a "stealth game"
@@Sigmundfrued so true. For some reason a lot of people think that just because a game has some stealth elements to it, it has to be considered a stealth game. Tenchu: Stealth Assassins & Chaos Theory are two of my favourites & as another 100 year+ man, the original Metal Gear was great fun.
People somehow say Dishonored is underrated, but Deathloop truly is underrated. It is a fantastic game with characters you come to love or hate, an amazing story, and a truly unique concept! The dialouge and voice acting are actually top tier, too! I highly recommend!
Last of us had some amazing stealth moments against both infected & humans.
I agree especially part 2.
@@jasonalv7436 I mean they are definitely better than some of these games on this list
@@SethG3600 sure, some of it is probably worse. Which is why I said it would prolly be in my top 20 but not close to reaching top 10. Maybe 15-13 I guess
@@jasonalv7436 if you ever play part 2 on grounded, enemy’s can hear silencers and bows up close making it pretty hard, let alone crouch walking.
Thanks for including Tenchu, I always replay those games when I feel like playing a stealth game
I got SO HAPPY when you included the Sly games!! Made my inner child happy
Metro series has some good stealth elements turning off lamps and lights to sneak through sections.
I remember so many people talking shit about the AI not being able to see you in the dark. Even though that's the whole point. It's a mechanic
7:12 The Syphon Filter series were my absolute favorite as a kid! It made me want to be a secret agent when I grew up haha I really hope we see a new game, or at least a remaster sometime soon.
This was in a terrible spot on the list should've been top 5 for sure
République (2013). "Help a woman named Hope escape in a thrilling and topical stealth-action game that explores the perils of government surveillance."- Amazing game.
Shadow Tactics reminds me a lot of the old Commandos games for PC. Those were absolutely tremendous, same kind of deal, different team mates with unique tools and abilities, lots of sneaking around, but in a WWII setting. Will definitely check out Shadow Tactics! Love the art style.
Just finished Shadow Tactics and absolutely loved it, so obvious it comes from the same makers as Commandos, which i remember playing on the PS2.
Man Tenchu Z on the 360 was such a good time.
Glad to see someone giving some love to the Tenchu games.
Played aragami for the first time recently and it is so good
Glad to see styx in this list :)
Alpha Protocol was pretty decent, and I still have fond memories of that game. Would love a remaster or a sequel at some point.
