Wowww! When I think of all the money people spend on drug, they could just listen to this music and get the same buzz. Joe Burke has allways been my favorite accordion player. Splendid.
I love this trio, and that atmospheric pub.🤗🤗🤗🤗I was at a wedding in Westport some years ago, there was a disco on, and I managed to sneak out, with my concertina, and talked my way into a great session at Matt Molloy,s, it was great craic.😈😈😈😈😈
Theres nothing like the REAL Irish Guinnes and a bag of Tayto's on Matt Malloy's excellent music nice irish tradition.... ahh miss it see you westport in 5 weeks :D
smashing laid back pub with the best traditional musicians always around, we had the pleasure of playing there in a session with Matts son Peter and friends a couple of years back, dont miss the pub if you get in the area. Mat was very friendly to everyone there will return one day...
I still have upstairs the big accordion my brother Bob played in his younger days. Should really sell it as he died in 1971. I will have to travel upstairs and look it over;; we rarely use the top floor of our house except for storage.
Great music - and musicians. Hope to enjoy some Irish musical teats when I visit Donegal in July. It is always a pleasure to visit the Emerald Isle. Thanks for sharing.
Having bought the Music at Matt Molloy's CD a few months back I tried picturing the pub with the music and actually the interior shown here isn't far off what I imagined myself!! Great quality and clarity on this vid Mike, excellent once again.
Oh there's far, far faster in Irish or Scots trad, especially the warpipes, and Matt Malloy over his career has done it himself. But faster isn't always better. This is better: you could slow this down by half and still find the timing accuracy and expression amazing and very instructive.
two of the great reels played by the greatest ceoltoiri in the business. joe burke never shows expression playing...of course, the flute player matt molloy can`t afford to make any expression or it will affect his playing...to make up for it the guitar player has a nice smile.
Two opposite styles and they don't mix very well imo... Joe Burke's style is tight and sharp. On the other hand Molloy's style is more about subtle emphasis and a fluid stream of notes. It's a matter of taste but to me the result is a bit awkward... Anyway the tunes are fun !

The sounds l ❤️ MATT MOLLOY IS THE BESTEST MAN IRELAND 🇮🇪
Joe Burke; so clean, so flawless, as close to perfection as a mere mortal can be.
Raise a glass to these talented recession beaters, and God knows we need them.
Joe burke es una persona que inspira a la practica constante del acordeón... gracias por compartir tan buena música!
Loved Westport and Matt Malloy's...one of my fondest memories of Ireland.
This was great. I felt like I was actually there. Great quality.
Love this music and Matt Molloy is a true legend. I spent my last birthday in his pub in Westport, in magic county Mayo.
Greetings from Italy

Matt Molloy ...probably the greatest ...any views from flute buffs ?
There's a few around, but Molloy is certainly unique. A one off.
