The greatest Joe Bourke, accompanied by the inimitable Charlie Lennon I come from the border village of Garrison Co Fermanagh and Charlie from just across the border near Kiltycloher Co Leitrim The Lennons are a great musical family
Personally I thought Joe early music was the best....it just felt more traditional....but Joe to me will always be number one in box playing....daithi gormally is definitely a serious player.
What a legend and sadly missed...really felt his music in 70/80...was awesome when he played red paoli soprani it just sounded amazing....newer accordeons are too smooth/clean sounding....can't bate the nostalgic sound.
Lembra muito o forró pé de serra que surgiu no interior do nordeste do Brasil, mais ou menos em 1940. Não tão sofisticado mas com um legado histórico de um povo que é inspirador. É incrível como culturas tão distantes se assemelham.
Joe's box sounded like the cog wheel of the horse drawn mowing machine, you'd hear its ring far in the distance, his fingering like the action of the blade in its finger bar, yet he would spare the poor corncrake..
R.I.P. Joe first Christmas without you..Passed away on 20th Feb 2021.

Joe will be sadly missed but the legacy of his great music will remain in our hearts forever
If anyone can play better traditional music than these great musicians, I would love to meet them, a credit to Our Nation.🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful playing...these guys were playing top class music way back in the 60s when the music was not all that popular.

He's deffo showing off with those strong stacatto triplets at the end of 'Bucks' LOL
Great stuff on both instruments...Charlie just does not do the vamp. Joe is the best.
The ripcord is my fav. IT'S where I break a string!
How
Its as though the great Michael Coleman himself came back resurrected as an accordion player Fabulous

East meets West.
