Understanding what is below the ice is critical to having a successful day of ice fishing. Sonar and flashers as well cameras can help reveal the underwater world and help you catch fish. Sonar and cameras both have their advantages and disadvantages and I compare them in this video.
Some of my favorite ice fishing sonar units include:
    - Garmin Striker 4 Plus: amzn.to/3aZoe9O
    - Humminbird Helix 5/7 Ice Bundle: amzn.to/3pGy2JU
Some of my favorite underwater cameras include:
    - Marcum Pursuit HD: bassproshops.vzck.net/XxGPMg
    - Eyoyo 7" Underwater Camera: amzn.to/34YY0R1

SO interesting at 10:35 where you show the camera likely spooks some fish.

Just getting a fish finder has made a world of difference. The camera lets you see how the fish react and see if you're on rocks, mud, or weeds. A fish finder lets you see if there's fish, and also some bottom structure. One is better than none.

Wow! I've watch several of your videos today and I have truly learned a lot...This weekend was my first ice fishing experience, and although I loved it and we caught fish, I had no idea what I was doing...Fishing with 5 poles and drilling about 50 holes was a workout...I only tried using floating power bait and hooked up on 6 keepers with my buddy but had many nibbles that seemed as though the fish were taking our bullet sinkers...I'll be out on the lake again this Thursday and will definitely try some of the gigging and lures that you showed in other videos along with worms and maggots...Thanks again for the great videos, and like Ron Rietz said, you are a great teacher, keep it up...

The sonar has been a useful necessity and would choose that over the cam if I had too. The cam is seriously cool the first time a fish comes into view.

I would choose the camera on a nice sunny day with navionics loaded on my phone for Dept of the lakes and drop offs. Sonar is great for any day but definitely not as much fun as the camera but it keeps me interested and it cover more of the water column.

I see you using the Helix 7 in this video...a fish finder that is at least halfway affordable.
