That pike on the bottom was way up in northern Saskatchewan. We caught some monster pike up there. I wish I could have got more of them on the underwater camera.
Hey Adam. Its nice when they send me stuff I actually want to use. I turn down lots of products, but I enjoy reviewing products I that I can put to good use.
Hey Robert. If you haven't tried one yet, it really makes fishing fun. Its almost like watching TV. I love watch how the fish behave, and how they react to my different lures.
The camera doesn't have a pole attachment that I know of, but you could always make an attachment. The camera is small and lightweight, so even some good tape would hold it in place.
That is very cool footage of the pike, for sure! I can't see a DVR feature of this one. Is there one that allows for recording? Thanks for the tip. I might get into one of these someday.
Hey Randy. This one did not have a DVR. The main reason I bought the Aqua-Vu I have was for the built in DVR. Then I realized that the recorded footage is such poor quality that I couldn't use it for my videos. So now I just strap a gopro underneath the fish camera, and I get way better quality. So having a DVR function is kind of pointless, unless you are just recording it for your own personal enjoyment.
I created a weighted 6" PVC holder for my GP Hero 5's to cover the bottom while using the UW camera housing and I don't get the washed out effect....It's pretty effective up to 90 ft but I don't have a lighting system!!😎
I've seen your footage. It looks really good. Around here, anything deeper than 40 feet and it get too dark to see. The lights reflect off the stuff floating in the water and that's all you see, so I rarely use the lights.
Moocor has now re-branded to FishPro. They do all come with a DVR option. Most will record in 1080. The small one only does 480. I did a couple more reviews showing the recorded video. Hi Dave. Since the upgraded version has a higher resolution, it must have a new camera capable of recording in 1080p. Its the resolution that matters because the screen can vary in size with the same resolution. And if you thought it was a good review, its because I've been watching a lot of Hunting Farmer, so I learn from the best.
It's possible to assemble a underwater camera from a $5 car back-up camera, $15 50ft RCA extension cord, $30 LCD screen, and $40 lead acid battery. The Waterproofing is not to difficult and they're generally good down to ~30ft or so. Below that I get water infiltration into the cameras. But at $5 it's no big deal to replace.
Just got one from an amazon bin store $15 Canadian and works amazing. However, you use wifi connection on any device. So cell, even if you have no internet connection.
We finally got some ice on the lakes so I got try it out. I have to admit, I like it better than the Aqua-Vu. As far as recording video, it doesn't matter which camera you use, the video is not high enough quality. I connect a gopro to the bottom of the camera. That's how I get the high quality underwater images.
The cord is thin, but doesn't break easily. I believe its got a 50lb breaking strength. Its never been an issue for me. Its actually nice that it isn't so bulky when winding up.
I love that shot of the pike just relaxing on the bottom. That is a big difference in price. Plus, the double long battery.

Nice video. I've had a few requests to do the reviews lately. Nice to see it done correctly.

Now that I’m retired and planning on going ice fishing more I will definitely put this on my Xmas list this year. Thanks From Wisconsin

Great comparison!! I have a MOQCQGR recently, and yes, it's worth it. I also have the 4.3", and that is a handy camera to have
I just took the 7 inch Moocor ice fishing, I was quite impressed with it. I see no reason to buy the more expensive cameras anymore.
Very helpful review thank you. Do you know if there is a way to attach the camera to a pole?

Does the screen have a mount screw? Or a way to mount it to a tripod?
Yes. They all have a 1/4 thread on the back of the cable spool.

Did I miss any comments about the recording capabilities of the Aqua-vu VS Moocor? My aqua-vu has stop working,

Good comparison Rande. Do you think the upgrade was because of the bigger screen and the camera stayed the same?

I think for the price why would you want the aqua view.
I do not have a underwater camera but for $200 I may have to look into it.
Great Reveiw.
If you do much ice fishing, I 'd suggest getting one. I have as much fun watching them as I have catching them.

OK, I'm waiting to see your video of you making this camera. I would definitely watch that one.
I'm not sure what happened to your response. It never showed up here on my end.
Temu, 50 bucks for 100ft includes everything you mentioned and it’s the same thing 😂
@@battlemasterszone1750 Yep. But that's without any recording capability.

Man I love the bin store!
How is creating RUclips videos with the Moqcqgr?

Можно ли этой камерой снимать на море в солёной воде?
8:50 skip to what you came for.
The cord seems extremely thin and prone to breaking easily.
Just like my neck!

that is a great price 👍
I can't wait to use it for real.
Temu, 50 bucks. Same camera
I've been buying some stuff off Temu. I don't know how they can price stuff that low, but its awesome!
Cameras are a waste of money
No way man. There's no faster/better way to find fish when ice fishing. For boat based fishing in the summer, yeah, don't bother bringing a camera.
I find them to be worth every penny.
