"Was that a flute?" I laugh every time, no matter how many times I've previously watched that part.

Avskyr dessa byrackor efter att de buade ut professorer med helt annan kunskap än de själva besitter. Men till och med jag garvar fan åt exakt den grejen. Det är så genuint hur beng karln är.

No parody at all. It is a travel show where they continuously make bad decisions. This was a particularly bad one.

12:00 No, this is not a parody, and nothing like Sacha Baron Cohen's hard irony.
These guys are just babbling, traveling and letting things happen. Like in the kind spirited 1960s.

This is what it says about the program on wikipedia: The idea of the program is for Fredrik to make sure that Filip gets to live out his dreams and in each episode get to know a new person.

See also their other show with pretty much the same concept but star interviews, High Chaparall. They went to a bordello with Ron Jeremy (the porn star). They sung a song of lament (Seasons in the Sun) to Steve’O of Jackass after a hard day of drugs. He was pissed off.

For music, try "Så mycket bättre", where artists do quite cleverly covers on other artist songs and playing it to them.

Maskinen - Buffalo Blues (great swedish rap song about kids getting mixed in with the wrong crowd).

An idiot abroad is a very good comparison actually, except theyre the bald dude and Ricky Gervais at the same time. These are very famous in Sweden, if you say Filip and Fredrik everyone will know who youre talking about. They also have a show thats kinda similar to qi(?) but with more prestige, and they had a talk show and a lot of that kind of stuff

He says the two are known to talk all the time and that's true. Can't remember exactly which show it was, they've done so damn much, but I just think it's kind of a travel show in the USA, no, it's not about trolling Americans and yes, the cookies were genuine, you can see that they're not faking, they're journalists who became known for being funny and half-crazy, but they're not actors who could play that they are high so good.

My interpretation is that Filip and Fredrik love to push bounderies, especially swedsih cultural standards.. they are particulary fascinated with unique experiences and characters, so they often travel around sweden (or the US) in search for oddities or people acting out of the norm.
Personally i think they have done a lot to expand swedes self identity, we are a shy and awkward bunch, and Filip and Fredrik have sort of loosened us all up a bit. Instead of excluding people with odd behaviours or ridicule them, we now have a more acepting view on people different from us. I compare the early nineties with now. I remember the show ”100 höjdare” making a huge impact on me and many others, as young teens back then. You can be fascinated by ”weirdness” instead of condemning it. I remember how they did make a difference. We used to be much more rigid and narrowminded back then, believe it or not! 😂😂😂

Drugs are indeed illegal in Sweden, but at the same time, a lot of people don't care, not the users, not the police. My point is that dispite the outlawed use of drugs, people still buy and take drugs.
Personally, I've never had any edibles, but I did smoke quite a lot when I was younger, and also tried out several other things, but for me, it is all about the experience, not the usage. So I have yet to fallen into some kind of addiction. Trying once, and that's it basically. Requires a little bit of will power, but I know I can manage. :P

That's funny 😂 but i don't like it either, i like to know what i'am doing and feel uncomfortable losing control over my brain and get paranoid. 😂 But i hope it gets legalized in Sweden anyway mostly because of it's good medical benefits cus there's so many in need of it.

I got caught growing weed for my own use here in Sweden and that's like the worst thing that happened to me. I wasn't even convicted because I said it was hemp without THC and they forgot to measure the THC content. But anyway I lost my driver's license during the 14 month wait for trial, gained 25kg, started drinking, got depressed... That's what the weed laws are doing. I wish it's legalized soon. I know it was my choice but let's not get into details here..
