Watched the video twice. What does the toggle switch do exactly. Thought i heard something about the hood and mounting it after the install but never saw that part.
Yes, the toggle switch is supposed to be a hood switch, which determines if the car is being serviced. They don't want the car to remote start if someone is under the hood.
I have Nissan Altima 2014 SV and friend on mine has 2017 S we bought a key with start button for SL from the dealer and programmed the key and the remote start function works.
Just installed this kit in my 2016 Altima, and notice that isn’t turning off after 10, 15 or 20 minutes, is this something you should do in the module settings?
@@FunnyRandomz4U Go to the module settings. Choose the time you want it to turn off, then saved, go back to DCRYPTOR and click where it says SEND DATA. Hope it works for you as well.
@mcgurrentertainment I ordered a first one, and I also received this message. After a few weeks, my transmission module control failed, so I returned the mpc, and after i fixed the TCM, I ordered another mpc, but the same message just reappeared.
@@mcgurrentertainment could you see if the instructions are any different from when you did it? Cause if they did do that it ruins the point of this video 😞
Hey so I get the led to be solid blue and then the ignition won’t turn on the car and my key fob will not work anymore either, anyone know what the problem might be?
You should be able to use the key fob that comes with your Altima. The one in this video did not have the "remote start" button available. If you need a replacement fob, get that programmed first. Then, install this kit. It could be a pain to troubleshoot and determine an issue if you do both at the same time.
No. If you have a working key Fob, it should work. The kit is designed to use the OEM fob (without remote start). Your fob should look similar to the one in the video.
No. The switch is in series from the blue wire to the ground. The red and black wires were extension cable (optional). Basically, connect one side of the switch to the blue wire and the other side of the switch to ground.
Got everything done up to the final step where you press the lock button 3x, but all it does is lock the vehicle. Have gone back and redone each step by step to make sure I didn't miss anything. Same result. Frustrating
Hopefully someone can help me out, I got 2016 Altima. I can get it to flash blue rapidly after pushing ignition button twice. Then when I push it once it just goes dark no lights at all. Doesn’t flash red and yellow. Hopefully someone has an idea.
This tutorial looks perfect just hope when I do mine it goes as smooth
Thank you. You'll be fine. It's pretty easy as long as a camera isn't in the way.
I connected the usb to the cable. the usb gets hot and started smoking and my computer shuts off when I plug it into the computer.
That's not good. I recommend you contact the manufacturer. Sounds like something is faulty.
You should a tutorial on installing drone mobile on Nissan to allow remote start and access to vehicle maintenance from phone
I will look into that

Good question. Sadly, I'm not sure about this one. I recommend contacting the manufacturer.

Hello, I have a question: Did you receive this message: "l-Key System Error: See Owner's Manual" when you finished installing everything in your car?
Not that I recall.
@mcgurrentertainment I ordered a first one, and I also received this message. After a few weeks, my transmission module control failed, so I returned the mpc, and after i fixed the TCM, I ordered another mpc, but the same message just reappeared.
I'm not sure what's going on there. Did the manufacturer give any ideas?
@mcgurrentertainment I sent them an email, but they haven't responded yet.

How did you get your power wires, just got my kit today and the wires are not just out and ready like that at 4:50
Odd. How are they setup? Does it have a plug?
@@mcgurrentertainment has a plug port in the middle of the wire
Interesting. I wonder if they update the connections/instructions

Does it come with the programming disk?
You download it from the website
So can I buy any remote with the start button on it and it will work? Because I currently don’t have a remote start key fob on my 2016 nissan altima…

What size fuse did you use for slot 8?
Great question, 5 amps.
I didn't see where you attached the blue wire you said neededed to be grounded when the hood is opened.
Step 15 (7:15) connected the switch to the blue wire.
So the positive from the switch does not connect to the fuse adapter going to the fuse box? It connects to the blue wire?
No. The switch is in series from the blue wire to the ground. The red and black wires were extension cable (optional). Basically, connect one side of the switch to the blue wire and the other side of the switch to ground.

That's odd. Might need to contact the vendor, you may have a defective unit. Hard to tell
@@mcgurrentertainment I would like to say your tutorial was pretty good, though!

Darn. I don't have a laptop.
You can bring it to your desktop (inside). Don't have to program it in the car.
