Be aware of the Logitech G29 noise level - sometimes gears are producing clanking noise like it's a jackhammer (when I setup it to my desk - my neighbors downstairs got real mad, they thought I was doing apartment repairs in the middle of the night).
Great wheel otherwise for its money, served me well for more than 5 years and is still going.

I bought a broken G920 wheel for $75AUD about 4 month ago, then found some broken pedals that matched for $45AUD, fixed them both then swapped to larger 350mm Momo and they have been amazing. Price variance from region/country to country really plays a big role here. Where I am you cannot find a G29 lower than 330 euro. Whereas the T128 is at 180 to 200. Its the clear winner from the two wheels hands down for that price difference.

i see the lag on the monitor , what none of you do is measure lag , and measure force ,there is a way to to measure force , it can be done , Arduino can be programed to move them , force meter , and measure the force . Its done all the time on motors . It takes a community that you have , some IT guys and there you go , you can get a lot of different parameters measured .

Still running a t300Gt several years later. The wheelbase and wheel itsefl are simply good enough. I don't feel they're holding me back at all. The pedals however are fairly weak. The T3pa brake pedal leaves a lot to be desired.

My first wheel, that I still use for ETS2/ATS is the Logitech Driving Force GT (2007!). It was the predecessor of the G27.
It was gear based, and came with an up/down stick shift permanently molded on the right side, as well as padel shifters that did have the large padel wings. People still sell the DYI mounts to put padels on is, or print your own. IT's archaic by today's standards and the pedals aren't great, and only 2. But it has done me OK until now. I drifted more to the flight games than racing, so it does the trick.

Before I even watch the video, if there is any non DD wheel recommended to be bought new, don't listen that it is well worth it to put the extra 100€/$/what ever it is in pounds. And nothing without at least 900degrees of rotation, and force feedback falls in to that category as well.

Hello - very long boring story cut short - I've been using my Rog strix/scar beast of a laptop (nvidia rtx 3080, ryzen 9 5900hx with 1080p 300hz 3ms panel) - hooked up to 165ms 1440p 27" external monitor via usb-C to display port for highest frame rate (165hz,whereas hdmi limited to either 60 &/or 120hz). Been using monitor with folding playseat & logitech G29. Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed it but sold a fortnite ago and regretted since.
I'm due an upgrade though & felt as such before getting rid. Question is; What do I go for?! I'm in two minds between fanatec dd with Loadcell pedals or simply thrustmaster rs gt & t3pa pedals.. I used to play assetto corsa & iracing. Not fastest racer in world yet but struggled with fov & only practiced around 6month - consistent top half finisher. I don't know the differences between all of the different fanatecs csl / elite(s) and versions Vs.. the pros or cons.. nor pedals..I have the knowledge of gear driven < belt driven < direct drive. And load cell pedals better than none, but many other factors too of course
Reality of situation is was moments away from setting off to pick up thrustmaster t300rs gt with stand tou drag upto a chair - 4 months old 200gbp - this morning. Didn't happen as was debating...Then decided YOLO!! Was in the process of setting off this evening for a fanatec DD wit load cell pedals and booster kit in a folding next level racing seat for around 600 this eve - BUT - somebody beat me to it.
Atfirst was totally gutted as I was impulse buying and we all know how excited we get as MEN... but maybe uts a sign to just stick with thrustmaster, enjoy the upgrade from my G29/G920 and enjoy the VR too as never used before... THEN upgrade again next yr or something to fanatec..?? I'm just a bit stuck and chronic overthinker, been frozen wirhbdecision paralysis all day!! Hoping for advice on best wheels/pedals, maybe in order and / or pros cons of the mid/top end range. Then there is the moza r9 which I have been advised to go for but I'm aiming to buy pre owned & not many about.
Another thing to potentially note is I aim to purchase and use with quest 3 VR headset.
Any advice taken, very much appreciated & thankyou for reading!

Good job on the video. It’s so hard to select your first hardware. PC or PlayStation compatibility? I was focused on PC so I started with a Thrustmaster TMX Pro bundle. Fanatec is great I’m sure but lately their warehouse delays and lack of communication and proprietary ecosystem are major negatives. Moza I think would be the best starting point. Personally I upgraded to a Cammus DDWB 15, wheel, and pedals bundle under $1000 US. I recently added the Moza KS wheel and Moza hub. This hobby ain’t cheap!

Just wanted to ask you guys if anyone had that wheel in the past (or still has it) and if you got some feedback, especially criticism - since (from my experience at least) a lot of the times people tend to talk more about the positives. And, since due to my budget constraints I don't see myself switching to another wheel anytime soon, I'd like to know as much as possible before I buy anything.
If you have suggestions on different options/wheels in the similar price range - feel free to share those too.
I only have a PC, so that's about the only 'platform compatibility criteria' I've got.
    Have a nice day 🙂

I have a Logitech GT Driving Force Wheel with just the throttle and Brake pedal. I have had it for 10+ years and got it for a steal at Goodwill for $25 it still works but I'm ready fro something more powerful and accurate.

Logitech's TrueForce is okay if you turn it down as if the level is set to high then it feel horrid in grid 2019 I only have it set at 10 on my g pro wheel any more than that and it just feels useless

I have a G920 for sale if anyone is interested. Comes with pedals (modded with GTEye brake spring) and Logitech shifter. Issue with pedal inputs flickering (may need a sensor clean)

For all the supposed abilities of the new value DD wheels, availability doesn't seem to be a reality and unfortunately that just makes them kinda pointless to me!

I agree... couldn't find them in stock anywhere locally, or on any simracing sites in my country. I ended up ordering my DD wheel straight from the manufacture website, where it ended up being cheaper (Moza)

Hello, I'm looking for my first wheel. I'm very excited to play ets2, Assetto Corsa, Forza etc. on a steering wheel because I'm bored with playing on the gamepad. The Moza wheels seem very interesting for me, I'm thinking about the Moza R5, but there is a new Moza R3 that is $100 cheaper - and should I buy the R3, and when the power will be too low for me, buy a stronger wheel base (?). Or maybe I should just buy the r5 and be happy. I don't want any g29 or t300 because they are looking big, and I don't have much space on my desk and my room is small so I think I can't buy any wheel stand :(

Got the T248 along with the TH8A shifter for about 400€ when the wheel came out. Looking to upgrade to a 480€ CSL DD with the McLaren wheel. How much do you guys reckon I can get for the shifter and wheel?

I'm thinking about getting my first wheel. I was looking at the moza R5, but im wondering if its a huge upgrade vs a non DD wheel? my cousin has a wheel, but its not DD. we like to play racing games and im worried getting a DD wheel will give me more performance and give me an edge vs my cousin. Thoughts? Edit: he has a TM TMX

My first wheel was the csl elite bundle f1 and I loved it. just wish that they would have offered the gt dd pro around the same time, as I wanted to have ps5 compatibility. The csl elite wheelbase for playstion was just too much for me at the time for it still being belt driven.

Hi! I’m starting up racing on F1 23 on PS5. Looking for budget wheel. Will the Thrustmaster T80 work on PS5 or do I need to look at the T150 or the T128? Potentially looking at upgrading to the Logitech GW29?

My expirience, i have a t300 gt (with the clutch) and it is wonderfull, i mainly do rally (rbr) so all Type of surfaces. I got it second hand for 200€ and its WAY better then a g29 in ffb and pedals, if you are looking for a cheap but solid entry i praise for the t300 as a perfect first purchase. Not that bad and a perfect step before DD, still looking for some Time using it before upgrading, been having it for about 4 months now. IMO the perfect Non DD setup

I just got a CSL DD with a Universal Hub V2, The Clubsport 320 leather wheel and the CSL pedals. My shifter I got a Moza HPG a few months earlier.
I went with the CSL pedals with the Loadcell upgrade, as I'm planning on modding the clutch and brake with Race Sim Engineering kits, to get that two stage clutch feedback. Also, I need to add some rubber pads onto the pedals stoppers, as they are too loud when you Toe-heel it.
This is my thirt wheel so far. My last one is a G29 which will be sold to a friend from the office.
My first wheel was a Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 wheel. No feedback and it was mainly for Euro Truck Sim.
