Tried to check if the bike comes with Ghost throttle or Glide through traffic. Does the bike run at a certain speed at different gears without any acceleration. I also tried to check the Idle RPM of Himalayan 450 and its idle speed at various gears.

Does it come with GTT or just coz of FI?
GTT is nothing but a Glorified term for Ghost Throttle. If the low end torque of the engine is sufficient to pull the bike then you can safely say that it gets a GTT or Ghost Throttle.
My pulsar 2001 has GTT 😂😂😂

Hi All,
I'm planning for a new bike confused in between himalayan 450 and Super Meteor 650. I know it's odd to compare an ADV with a cruiser. I'm receiving different opinions from friends and family.
Requirement:
1. Need a bike for family of 3(Me,wife and a baby)- received comments that himalayan pillion seat height space will be bit difficult for wife and baby.
Suggested super meteor celestial variant as seat is wider than other two and backrest is provided.
2. Very minimal off road use. More city and highways. - Suggested super meteor since it's good for highway rides.
3. Looking for daily commute to office and home. - bit sceptical about engine heat in city traffic and heard that meteor chainspoket and back breakpads doesn't last morethan 3k kms.
Appreciate suggestion from owners and experts.

Just wanted throw some light on a couple of things here as I have had an opportunity to ride the super meteor 650 for a decent amount of time as I make a lot of reviews on my other channel.
Merits of Supermeteor
1) Great low end, easy to ride in slow moving traffic
2) Looks big and gives you a superbike feel
3) Short seat height hence easy to control
Demerits:
1) Huge, longer wheel base hence difficult to filter through in the city traffic
2) heats up a lot and comes with an Air + Oil Cooled engine
3) Super heavy - can be tricky to ride with a pillion and a baby
@@nitishneo2 Thanks for your response... If i pick himalayan 450 over super meteor 650 considering heavy weight . Will himalayan fit for a family( Seat space)?? Bike stalled at lower RPM 2-2.2K while i took the test ride. I'm still in a confusion for the best bike for solo and family purpose..

I need one favor from u. i hv booked new himalayan, but showroom wale saying that it will be delivered till jan last or feb 24. if u can arrange for pdf copy of user manual by taking pictures of manual from showroom. it will be very helping as i will read properly till i get my bike.
