Hi nitish can you tell ,how road tax was calculated for your bike. Its 8% of ex showroom price or is it 8% on pre gst price of ex showroom. Today i went to ktm showroom they were telling rto tax will be calculated on exshowroom price but for cars its calculated on pre gst price.

i am planning to buy bike i like Himalayan 450 over clasic 350 i don't do so much do touring, like normal day use i live in village ..can you suggest me 450 .

Getting Bharat (BH) Registration for two wheelers in 2024 is a Struggle! As per the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, private employees whose companies operate in a minimum of 4 states are eligible for Bharat (BH) registration. The required documents are Form 60 and your company ID. I already have these ready, but in Maharashtra, BH registration is available only at select RTOs. Even if you have all the required documents, the process varies from place to place. In some RTOs, they demand extra documentation, such as proof that your company has transferred you to at least 2 states and that you've stayed there before applying. The inconsistency makes it so difficult to get a BH registration! I don't want to register my bike in Maharashtra because I’ll likely move to another state in a couple of years. If I register in Maharashtra, I'll have to pay road tax for 14 years. Then, when I move, I’ll need to: Get an NOC from the Maharashtra RTO. Re-register the vehicle in the new state, which means paying registration charges and road tax again (10%-12% of the bike's cost, depending on the state). It’s unnecessarily complicated. This hassle has made me drop the idea of buying a new bike altogether. If anyone has successfully gotten a BH registration after July 2024, please share your experience and process here. It would help so many people!

I’m an r15 v3 owner i did test ride for this bike in peak mumbai city traffic didn’t find any issue with low end torque or anything.i was amazed to see such big bike manuer so easily in traffic

hello I'm confused in BMW 310gs, Himalayan450, and Triumph scrambler 450. my requirement want good machine bike and most important thing is service related. Because i live in remote area so that is main concern. nearest BMW showroom is around 300Km, Triumph showroom is 100 km and same as Himalayan showroom also 100km. please nitish sir suggest me. im waiting for your positive response

Left only lock has a purpose, it's not a flaw. I think, all ADVs follow that. My guess, it has not much role when on centre stand (I may be wrong though) but on side stand, it has huge role in stabilizing the bike.

Two most useful updates what they need to bring is 1. tripper should be usable when phone display is off and 2. ability to import customized google map link. For the second, we have option to export gpx file but very cumbersome.

If you are thinking of buying the RE Himalayan 450 for City riding then that's foolish decision. If you want a bike that can perform great for City rides, touring and adventure, a all in one then go for the Triumph Scrambler 400X

Possible reason are below 1.Clutch cable may too much tight which you may not noticed. 2. May be you have a habit of keeping fingers in the clutch. 3. Oil burned out due to manufacturing defects 4.
