This channel is to help engineers fix boilers. I try and teach boiler repair for the betterment of the UK gas industry. The better we are the more work we get.
Common UK boiler brands such as Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester and Baxi all have more obscure models and this is one of them.
Unlike the USA, our boilers are all high efficiency and more technology makes for harder diagnosis.
For videos on Burnham, Weil-Mclain, Peerless and Lochinvar find a US Channel.
I typed all that for better keyword and YT ratings. Lets see!!
Here is a link to the kit I used in this video, it is an affiliate link so if you buy it I get a (very very small) kick back. I didn't do this video for this kick back. I could find more money on the floor of the van behind the drivers seat ;-)
Here are a few affiliate links to some of the stuff I use everyday.

This commercial is another level to is domestic guys 👍
It's a little different but only takes a couple of years to feel it out. :-)

Nice job 👍
Thank you :-)
Takes a brave man to take on commercial oil as a newbie.
Nah, just a boiler, A weird burner but nothing too difficult. What's a really difficult oil boiler?
Ollie where’s your cape.😂😂😂. You applied proper experience. Top job buddy❤
I tuck it in so it doesn't get oil on it... :-/
@@HeatingGeek 🤣🤣😅
The back of your van reminded me of little Als van where everything had to go in its place otherwise it wouldn't fit in and Al would moan 🤣 which he was pretty good at 🤣
He loved a moan. I don't remember his vans being messy or tidy. Long time since we worked together. How are his family doing?
Yeah als Mrs and kids are doing well thanks and u must remember being whinged at about rolling his hose up properly or mistaking a slip coupling with a normal one or finding a 15mm straight compression fitting for a 1/2" male iron to copper because one of the nuts had come off one of the ends 😂😂😂 the good old days 😂
@@aaronchapman6994 I remember the hose thing :-) We were the same with that. He used to hammer 2" screws into floorboards. "Crinkle cut nails" we called them. I reached out to Ed to see if he could send some work my way but he ignored me..
Try muck boots. Very very comfortable. Great vid Ollie
Thanks, I will look into them ;-)
Was thinking issue with the Photocell. Very common on oil. Sight tube out of alighnment = No Photocell. Not 100% on the blueflame boilers, but I know on the standard stuff to run them a little lean to keep them clean around 11% on the co2
Learned oil, but dont do it because it stinks your tools and clothes out. And I can't deal with 250 kilo combis by myself or knackered oil tanks that need changing.
I have no smell so it doesn't matter to me :-)
@@HeatingGeek 🤣
Great vid mate commercial side so much more interesting what kw was each boiler there mate
Im not sure, 80 or 100 I think. I did video the data badge but I cut it out. You do commercial?
Another top vid… what courses do you recommend for going into commercial.. i mean courses specifically for the boilers ?
I have done Worcester and Viessmann. But to be honest the systems are more difficult to understand. The boilers are just bigger.
@@HeatingGeek any courses you know of that focus more on the systems ?
Didn’t like the pump gauge jumping around a bit. Could be an issue with the oil.
If I don't bleed the air out of my gauge it does that. ;-) I want a digital one but not sure what to get. Any advise?
How did you learn all this olly?
Getting stuck in. Don't bill for my time. Bill for my results, That way clients don't pay anymore money for me to learn on site. :-)
Hi Ollie have you stopped doing domestic work and why have you started to do commercial gas work instead of
I needed a new challenge. I was done with domestic when I started this channel, so been trying to do something else for 7 years.
Great video mate! Does your mrs make you take your clothes off at the door after a day of oil or is it just mine ffs 😭🤣
Sometimes she will tell me they stink and wash them straight away but usually I don't think she notices :-\
Tiger loop not suitable for internal use Olly 👍
plastic
Yeah, loads like it and I did advise. I have a metal Gok on the van but only one. :-)
