I like how for the boundaries of this game, you don't have unclimbable walls or get killed for going outside the designated area, you just don't leave because you're obsessed with golf.
My husband works on a golf course and there are people who want to golf during blizzards. So someone playing golf with murdering and stuff going on doesn’t surprise me lol
i love how in the beginning when we saw the cars it was like "oh there's other people here" but by the end i realized those were the cars of the people that had been lost to the golf course i also wanna say that the reason the two encounters with the "people" were probably the ghosts of the ones we saw like the first guy had been dead and we saw him at the 4th hole and the one who told us not to go to the cady house was the body that was on the slate or the one that had the wound to the head, really cool game with really deep lore i think

I’m surprised no one’s picked up on it yet, but I think it’s implied the protagonist may or may not be possessed by another eldritch being. From the scratchy and messy text at 1:39 to the suddenly neat and perfect text at 52:05 after defeating the enemy deity to the way the “protag” makes the security guard and employee nervous with their intense staring ( 8:18 , 27:48 ) prompting even the second dude to ask, “are you okay?” Not to mention with the enemy deity saying, “Now I realize who I’m talking to,” and, “I will break it open and you will pour out.” ( 49:06 ) I think it’s pretty obvious our “protagonist” is not as human as they appears to be.

Something to note, not only was the final boss an Eldritch horror, you had been playing as the host for another Eldritch horror the entire game. You were forced to play golf (hence the wall of text whenever you tried to leave) because _it_ loves golf.

The intro was a huge wave of nostalgia. I am a big fan of golf in video games and seeing that this chill sport has became a horror game made me click on this video INSTANTANEOUSLY.

I actually watched someone else play it and they seemed to do pretty well by luring the enemies to where he needed to shoot the ball towards, so he could maintain line of sight. Also when it gets to the glowing balls you can kill the enemies by hitting them with it, the game gives a hint when you die saying that they will "remove flesh". I think the big issue is that ryan never really tried to reposition them so he ended up making a lot of blind shot's that he had to recover from and would panic while trying to split his attention between trying to aim and looking at the enemies.
@@feeshly You don't have to go into the forest though. the course part is clear if you follow the path and it looks pretty easy to reposition them in front of you out in the open. The youtuber I was talking about is ManlyBadassHero if you want to check it out and see what I'm talking about.

Golf is a game that you need peace and quiet to focus but this game not only make you play golf with a lot of tension but it also makes things scary very interesting game
I never would have imagined playing golf to be this intense and horrifying at the exact same time. 8-Bit Ryan did a fantastic job in not losing his sanity when playing this game. Absolute horror of golf.
Ryan, you should play Signalis. It's such an amazing horror game. Genuinely terrifying. Also has one of the best soundtracks seen in a long time. Its a long game though, around 4 hours so for you would be around 5 - 6 episodes unless you are gonna do those long unedited videos. All I'm saying is I'm not gonna stop asking until you play it.

I came across a different kind of golf game recently called cursed golf, but I think this takes the cake on taking a relaxing sport and dialing it up with the weeping angel greener grass folks chasing you on the shots.
Hey, amazing video! I really liked the fact that you just cant leave due to being obsessed with golf. There is one thing id like to suggest and that is to play this game called Dead cells. If you do end up touching the game, prepare to rage even harder than geometry dash! All in all, nice stuff.
The game heavily implies that the protagonist is actually an eldritch being trying to kill another eldritch being and leaves the possessed body after achieving it's goal.
The creepy protagonist was possessed by the Golf-entity who wanted to golf in order to save his golf-course from the Greener Grass-entity that had used it’s equally creepy possessed employees as it’s followers to take over the golf-course and others before it as seen through the eerie commercial. In the end, you have to kill the Greener Grass-entity to please your Golf-entity master. And by the looks of the creepy interactions, the Golf-entity is just as evil as the entity you have to fight.
Such a unique entertainment style which hes playing games like alot of content creators but his personality brings so much more to the plate. Also like the vid!!!😑
