The salt mining is always great haha. Keep an eye on your idle workers, you kept 40+ workers idled for almost a minute. Great game!

Building a wall , outposts or a keep near the enemy helps a lot if you got map control.
This citadel bonus for outposts helps a lot.
You can even start to add barracks there. In order to reduce walking time.
You need to set these barracks on a different hotkey, which complicates things a bit.
LoueMT likes to build a maze of walls near the enemy.
Its very effective for siege and ranged troops.

If you don't want to play against every civ in the game, I tell them to just go play custom. Oh the salt!
