You're a good player man, really. Your micro is good but you just need better strategy. If you really want to get conq I think you need to slow down first. Also, I know you said you like to play aggressive, but the way you win most games is by getting eco advantages. It would be really good to change your main build to a fast castle with king's palace. It's suuuper powerful and it scales almost any build in the game. The main purpose of making an army is to get map control or do damage to enemy economy. With early longbows, there's no point in getting map control so early, and it's hard to kill vils because you're easily countered by horsemen. I would really focus on 1) going fast castle, and then 2) setting up a defense at your base only if you need to. Also, you neeeeeeed to start going for the abbey of kings. You get a FREE knight which can defend against literally anything in feudal. That's how I end up getting to castle so easily because I can defend (or add pressure) with that knight.

Losing your archers to a couple cavs is so frustrating xD I feel the pain haha

Take ur pessants 8 are optimal, build mil, hold shift click 8 times on mil, let go shift and right click on mil before it is finished, then you get “best” farm formation, and the farmers build an farmes one at by one on each farm, instead all 8 on one farm. Its much faster that what your doing.

Sometimes I watch your videos very critically and I’m like “dude wtf are you doing?” But I forget I probably make the same mistakes. I never forget that this game is the ultimate game of chess with so many things you need to think about. You crushed this Rus player with map control

I like the start with some horsemen and king. But i believe it would be better together with 2TC. 2TC just leads to a better eco lead than the kings palace. The White tower is the better landmark. Some people play a white tower rush, if their 2 TC is not getting attacked, and the enemy missed to produce enough army. However 2TC is more difficult to play.

You need to play like ur trying to finish ur opponent early as possible

The most important thing in any game is to keep training villagers. I noticed you didn't train any villagers for an entire minute starting around 8:00. You could have had 3 extra vils. Three vils would get you an extra 120 resources/minute without any upgrades for the rest of the game. Your game lasted 30 minutes, so you theoretically missed out on (at least) 2,520 resources throughout the game. It really adds up. That's basically 1 men-at-arms/minute (21 total), and probably more because of your upgraded villagers.

You gotta scout waaaaaay more to see what your enemy is up to.

I highly recommend learning a few hotkeys it will optimize everything you do

Instead of recording and playing live, maybe you could record and watch your past matches and explain why you’re doing what you’re doing. I think that would help with the advice the community is giving and also you maybe be able to see clearly your o strengths and weaknesses.

Your berkshire was an bad placement.

You improved in using siege ! Wynguard Palace is the better option for a long game. 3 Trebuchets cost nearly the same as the Landmark. Wall the trebuchets and mangonels in. If you loose the battle you got some defense for retreat these expensive units. A stone wall is rather cheap compared to the cost of all these siege units. English get buff from outposts. You need to pull your workers for building anyway. Try to be the first reaching imperial. You could train some fast imperial build orders against KI. If believe against most civs you should start with 2TC and defend until castle. First training with one TC is not bad. But 2TC with a proper timing attack is easier in the long run.

OK so I am only plat myself but here are my notes: As others have noted, your issues are 90% army micro and management during battles. You did assign hotkeys to infantry, ranged, and cav which is a good step 1. But from then on it fell apart in each battle. During the battle at 27:00 you right-click to have your infantry go after his mangos. However he had them well protected and that entire infantry mass was melted by his crossbows as they tried to walk around his army to get to the mango. At the same time, your ranged mass was just standing still eating mango volleys. By the time you realized it and moved them to stagger formation it was far too late. During the battle at 29:00 you split off your cavalry but then had them not participate in the fight at all, allowing his full army to have its way with your non cav units, then turn around and mop up your cav separately. You basically threw each half of your army away. Practice getting the cav into position and then hitting A-move. The battle at 32:00. You have more than enough infantry to keep his cav at bay. He has a huge mass of ranged units all packed together. Imagine if you had three mangos on your backline to say hi to them. Even one mango instead of the pointless bombard you sent out could have helped. During the battle like 37m on, you had your rally points set too far forward, and you were just feeding units to his arrows before they even dealt a single DPS of damage. Raids are absolutely key at gold level, most players get flustered by the distraction and over-react. Little groups of 5 horsemen on their own hotkey periodically sent around to the back of his base could have held his attention while you moved your main army in. The good news? Your eco was done very well, and on the back of that you managed to last far longer into the late game than I'd have expected after you got wiped at 32m. So overall: Move to being on the receiving end of siege damage to being on the giving end of it. Send in periodic raids. Always fight under towers. You're not far from what you need to move up!

HOT TIP: at 26:00 keep your spears with your Trebs and the rest of your army in front of you

English castle landmark is the best, if aggression fail, they have King Palace for eco. That vills gap increase and you just zerg him mid game. The best thing you did this game is getting 4 relics, you barely need to look at a gold mine after that. 7:33 good cavs raid, but if you have the time on your way out, spread his deers and kill it. That way his vills don't have optimal gathering. 9:04 honestly if you have a few cavs and they full health, don't bother burning building, just take a little dive, the woodline is best, sometimes 10 vills when they run, that's a few second idle time. Don't be greedy and chase vills under TC early game when diving, just get idle time from the wood line, run heal and repeat. This tactic work well when the game is early stage when he barely have any unit.

Try to build a stonewall in front of the ememys base. Put in your troops that need protection from cavalary. Build some mangonels and trebuchets in there. This needs some practice. But it's a alternative to the useless meat grind, thats not working if the enemy's eco is up too.

Early game to castle almost perfect. Love the relics, the sites. I would prefer your king to L shape Shift toward the berries because he love berries or gold. But you ran to his spear, it happen. No big deal. 23:03 that is a terrible keep. Move it up, I know you want the gold mainly but, that is a perfect spot for gold and protect sacred site. Big Mistake. 24:12 first big fight, why are you running away from your tower, you not fighting over gold or secret site. Watching you set up your tower for speed boost and running away from it is hard. 29:12 second big fight, what is this cavs movement? You have twice the amount of horse and you running? Some how his 10 horsemen end up at your longbow first, and your 20 cavs still searching for target. You have cavs superiority, take the fight or dive in, idk why you are dodging or zig zaging his cavs. I want you to consider sacred site victory as an option. If you somehow end up having map control early game like this, lock down the site with towers and keep. Which you did with mid tower, and replace the keep location up top, a few tower bots. Prefer you to be fighting over objective with tower and attack speed boost then randomly charging head on into enemy. Remember sacred site victory only 10 mins most of this booming civs want more time to boom, you putting them on clock.

You need to practice controlling your army better my dude 29:00 you lost a lot of troops that could have just been pushed back to the Berkshire

-Build a house near your mining camp to have space for safe farms. (Minor tip) -Get wheelbarrow asap(the sooner you get it the better the pay off)if you plan on feudal aggression, followed by the 1st woodcutting upgrade, -As soon as you see the second tc that should be a sign to all in. Your opponent spent a lot of resources to build it. And you have a slight advantage in army. - an all in would mean getting siege engineer and plus1 ranged armor. And commit to a unit comp and pump out as much as possible. -imo going up @12:31 was a mistake. But ig it depends on your plan. You have to remember that with the second tc you are on the clock

You kept making the same mistake with your army almost from all your video. 21:13 I get it, you don't want to fight keep retreating that's okay but look closely in your army, what unit is the back of your line(range with low health no armor) . That's fine, if you need to retreat. 23:23 you decide to fight and you slam all in which is cool. However the range unit that is behind your army is now the front of the fight, you should move them right? At the end of that fight, you barely have any range left. There is a key in setting for All range unit, bind it to your keyboard like 4. It's okay to retreat but when you fight, click on 4 and bring the range back while the melee tank. 26:20 Same thing, if you need to scout, bring the cavs, they run faster. 26:30 you decide to fight, but you not controlling your range or move back i guess the key word i m looking for from a English(Range) player is KITING. You did win the game , however because you have King Palace act as 2nd TC and your opponent is bad. 8:26 his 2 vills idle under stable, 2 vills idle under tower. I guess he doesn't know Shift. Also 15:48 you will not see a mistake like this in high Platinum. BOTTOM LINE Learn kiting or at least move your range back and not let your range act as infantry.

Going longbow only is a big mistake. Any half decent player will build horseman behind their TC and kill your entire army before you get critical mass. That's why the usual feudal English build includes a barracks and longbows/spears at around 2/3-1 ratio, depending on how much cavalry you see. You can always stop making spearman if they don't build horses but you can never get your army back once it's gone, especially in English vs. HRE/OOTD. You were incredibly lucky they went Meinwork and then didn't even build a real army. If they went chapel/stable and built 5 horseman at min 5, you just lose the game right there because you don't have spears. By the time you recover from that, they are castle and pumping MAA. Haywire is a great map for feudal english, but your opponent made this one very easy for you.

As English, you have to rush Malians during feudal age and slow them down. Try burning the houses around their gold pit. You can't outboom Malians.

Thanks for the upload reading_book! As a gold 3 Ottoman player, i can recommand you to attack the military school when they are so far forward. They are pretty expensive to build and taking only one out really hits Otto tempo.

Good start, 2tc, castle, into 3 relics, capture sites. Really good, some forward tower too ++ 23:51 no food upgrade BIG mistake 23:54 blacksmith upgrade i don't get how you don't get upgrade when you floating so much gold. When you floating gold. UPGRADE. 19:04 i just don't like that army comp, you high light your entire army and only 4 crossbows, 9 MMA front line. Against Mali, they mass spearman you go MAA and few crossbows in case cavs, they force to go Musafari Warrior to fight your MAA then your range will melt them because they have no range resist. If you go longbow they go cavs, now they have map pressure, on top of that longbow require a lot of control. Crossbow just kill everything. so MAA tank the spear and the archers, crossbow clear path. I see their cavs just run to the back because you have no crossbow. I don't like it when you run longbow, you let it free shoot and it just waste volleys into the cavs. You have such strong eco you just don't know it, 2tc into full boom and 3 relics. When you have that strong eco, go heavy, MAA and crossbow, crossbow kills everything in path + towers range. A group of 20 crossbows will do the job and all MAA + spearman if they have cavs. Every game i want you to go Crossbows MAA + spears vs cavs. Longbow is done when you reach castle.

Against Mali Go heavy armored units und longbows + crossbows. Musofadi warriors are weak against TC fire and arrows. You need to protect the mangonels. Just bodyblock with your troops. With these big armys siege gets very important. You could also build walls to protect the mangonels. If you manage somehow to go imperial, you get enclosures. Mali is not this good in imperial. If you focus on gunners,archers and MAA you should be fine. The problem is to get out of the base after turtling to imperial. Better wall in your farms than trying to wall half of the map. These huge walls are only good if you got the stronger army.
