We provision in Loreto and do a little boat maintenance in Marina Puerto Escondido before setting sail for Agua Verde. Our newest crew member struggles with the passage south.

Ah, pobre Addie. Interesting about the pressure points. And a subtly nice sailing video - you could almost feel the cool ocean breeze, the swells, the water passing under the hull. Really nice.

Addy is lovely , I think he's worked out the cure for seasickness is a tree, although in his case it's peeing on it .

Poor Addie! Could you put a clothes pin (worn out) between his eyes? Safe travels. ❤

We have good needles on board for accupuncture, just not a good idea on the boat, but thankfuly pressure works well too!

I think he just needs to pee and is mortified to do it on the boat. This happened to our dog who eventually peed in the cockpit. He wouldn't look at us for an hour after even though we told him what a good boy he was and praised him. He hated it. I'm convinced that dogs have an element of pride about themselves and peeing in the cockpit was a humiliation for our poor boy...

Yep, he has really struggled with the peeing onboard... pees on everything else though including shop windows... hehe. We are just going slow and being super encouraging!

Just a theory, but I assume that your dog associates going in the dingy with going somewhere to have a pee. Perhaps he just really doesn't want to pee on the boat, because that's your home. It would explain why he really wants to get in the dingy.

Yeh, he does also get seasick (he has vomited before) and generally his kicks in around the same time as mine! But he definitely needed to pee too and has been refusing to go onboard even with great encouragement. Its been good to learnt he ins and outs of having a dog onboard from an owners point of view instead of just through the veterinary lens!

@@VetTails Might not be an easy task getting him down there when under sail/motoring, nor finding the right space for him to do it, but what about trying out the head as a place for him to pee... you do it there, so it might feel better for him there too?

The clinics you do are awesome. But, honestly young lady, you don't look old enough to have graduated from high school much less graduated from vet school. Keep up the good work.

Aw thank you! I was just telling Jim the other day how when I was in my early 20s 35 seemed 'old'... now I am here I still feel young as ever and am doing much cooler stuff than I was back then. I guess it really is just a number!
