It's always fun to watch you draw and to listen to your commentary on various topics about Singapore. 👍 😄 That's why I like these particular videos. Thanks for sharing Teoh.

I really appreciate your fountain pen and the ink reviews , from the viewpoint of an artist .. it really helps to see the benefits or drawbacks of these items , and helps to see how they’d work for our drawing , sketching and printing .. thank you so much, Teoh ..

I love that you are using the glass pen. After I watched your video of it I bought one for me and each of my close (artist) friends. For the sake of appearance.
I came to read the comments thinking that everyone will admire the pen, instead they are discussing cars... A funny crowd you have :)

I really like Singapore's public transportation haha for real, believe me, guys, you don't even need to own a car to be able to go places in Singapore. I live in Indonesia, you can own a car with low prices here. You can have a decent brand new 4-seater city car for about USD 10K. You can even have a secondhand cars below USD 10k. People ranging from middle to high class owns their own car.
I don't drive a car, so I can't say for sure how much a car spend in a day, but it's not that high. But then, these caused traffic jams all over the place, since our public transportation isn't that good either. If we have decent public transportations, I believe that most of us won't even need cars anymore haha sadly that's not the case :')

I’m from Canada and I bought my first car for $21,000. My current car is worth $45,000 and it’s considered a high mid-grade car. But I would say the average car is around $30k. Licence for the car is around $120/yr and our gas is around $1.10/litre. I didn’t realize the cost of having a car in Singapore was so high, that’s really interesting. Although I assume you have great public transit. I live in the country so I need a car to get to work although sometimes I think it’d be nice to have public transit access. Especially in the winter! 😊

I thought cars in Brazil were expensive, but after looking at the most basic price you listed (70k SGD) that's over 192k BRL. she you want to buy a basic, new car here in Brazil the prices range from BRL 30k-50k. Gotta pay taxes as well, sometimes road taxes (where I live I don't pay tho), yearly taxes, insurance and gas price is rising. Unfortunately our public transport is very lacking and not well connected, so car still is the best option for those who are able to afford, it's not much a luxury item as it is a necessity

A Toyota Camry in Australia is about 25k aud. A Hyundai i30 is about 15k aud. My Land Rover discovery was 52k aud when it was new in 2001. We pay registration yearly. I pay 600$ per year plus 450$ per year insurance. Costs depend on where you live too.

auto's prices here in USA are variable i.e. from $20,000 up to $60,000 depending what type. Suv's are the most popular, unfortunately most are looking like family luxury vehicles rather than true suv's. gas insurance and maintenance is pretty cheap compared to other countries. But like u pointed out Singapore being such a small country (and I would guess most goods are imported) dictates your auto policies.
ps like that appearance of the ink when at angle-and that pen :)

It’s a nice idea to use the metallic, shimmering ink to paint a shiny metallic object, like a car.

  • @TheRealMythril

In the U.K. you have to pay as many charges. You have to pay to have the vehicle registered, and then you pay a vehicle purchase charge and VAT (Value added tax). We also have to pay road tax and a tax on fuel for the car too. On top of the cost of insurance and maintenance. Every car over 3 years old has to have a yearly test called the MOT which you have to pay for too to make sure the car is considered road worthy. You also pay vat on your insurance payments.

One thing that effects how much a car costs is what the state lets you get away with. In lots of areas, many of the people drive what we call "beaters" that are basically rust held together with a little paint. These cars are not worth very much, if anything at all. I think many of the countries in Southeast Asia have similar cars - I know they do in Peru where it was not unusual to see the street through holes in the floor when riding in a car!

I quite like shading inks, but not shimmering inks so much (or rather, I can't think of a use for them).
It seems reasonable to make cars expensive in a small country, which must help finance a good public transit system (I loved using the metro system when I lived in Montreal). In Canada, it's two hours for me to get to the nearest big city, eight hours to get to the next province. My last vehicle was a minivan, which was a gas guzzler. I would prefer to get an electric for my next car.

So in Germany, auto prizes are variable, depending on the type :D form about 8.000 euros to maybe 100.000 euros?... and we don´t have road tax (yet)
