Enjoying your history videos. We homeschooled our children and as part of American history we took a 2- week Civil War field trip to Savannah, Charleston, and Gettysburg with our camper in 2008. We could have stayed a month at each location and still not been able to see it all.
There is so much of our American history to be seen in Virginia. We love Virginia for that reason. I'm glad you had the time to experience more of it. Pope's Creek has changed much since we were there more than 20+ years ago.
We lived in that area until we retired and went full time. The park rangers lead talks every anniversary of the battle at that cemetery ,SO many amazing stories they tell. Watching this makes us miss Virginia ,BUT then we remember the traffic .------
Great knowing about Stonewall Jackson. It was nice learn about Washington and his family and the horse that’s retired that was in parades. What a cute horse. I love history. It’s so fascinating. You go to cool places. Love it! Stay safe and safe travels. Love you both! Oh I wore a scout T-shirt I bought of Scout and a worker at Walmart says she loved my bearded dragon shirt. She said she has one and loves her bearded dragon. I told her about you having one. She said they are a great pet to have. Like you said. They are cute. Scout is cute! See you both soon!
Thanks again for sharing your travels with us. My Mom lives not far from Fredericksburg on a couple hundred acre fox farm. We try to steer clear of that area whenever possible due to the crazy amount of traffic up and down 95.
We just toured Appomattox museum and courthouse where Grant met with Lee for the surrender. Was awesome learning experience. I heard in Richmond Va they took monument which I would love to see and learn.
I super love history and we hit a lot of that as we travel across the country. Your video was very informative and taught me a lot of stuff. I just find all of this very interesting from the revolutionary war to the civil war to the wars of today. All the details that people just don't know about. Did not know about his arm being buried in a separate place. Super great video. Thanks guys
If you have time going down I-10 north of Baton Rouge is Port Hudson which has the best preserved earthworks of the Civil War in U.S Plus several Plantations. Very worth your time !
I am a civil war history nut. I have been to the Fredericksburg along with Chancellorsville battlegrounds. Jackson was shot by soldiers in the 18th North Carolina regiment during the night during the Chancellorsville battle. I am in total agree meant with Dustin's comment about a private or lieutenant doing the ramrod thing. Only thing is officers didn't carry rifles. So probably the instance, which was not uncommon, was done by an enlisted/drafted soldier. Young officers need to learn as much as the fresh enlisted. I am sure all us vets can tell interesting stories about those scenarios. Thanks for the tour. You did an awesome job.
I’m a nerd when it comes to history Years ago I talked my wife into going to Hawaii she was excited I wanted to see pear harbor Amazing The price those soldiers paid History is what this country was built on Great show THANKYOU
We might be Canadian , but we love history Lol...I went back a couple times to relisten to what you said. I had heard of Stonewall Jackson, but didn't know who he was...I do now...😊 We will definitely go there...I have been to Gettysburg and that is another amazing history lesson as well. Thanks Guys 😊
Hi Dustin and Leslie I saw you finally got your team after you opened the box and got your team. I saw that on your channel as well. Dying to watch the rest of it today and plus the new one. This is so fun to watch. Also that guy with the beard I knew I seen him before he trained I think on your class you went through I think that’s why he looks familiar. He’s got a nice deep voice. See you guys soon! Go Red!
My name is Brian. 55 yo US Navy/Fleet Marine Force "Devil Doc" here.. I was also Their "Range Coach" at Camp Lejeune. Navy Corpsman Training them on Their Weapons, and keeping them alive at the same time. I Loved My Time Enlisted. So, do ya'll know people who can help? Its embarassing, but I really need a reliable vehicle to get to work. I work at Walmart. Lawn&Garden/Toys/Seasonal areas. You were an Army Medic? ;-) Thank You for Your Service Doc!!! If ya'll know about financial help, please inform me. Seriously on the Struggle Bus.
Good stuff! I love all the history we encounter as we move around the country. We've been to lots of Civil War sites. The casualty numbers during that conflict are staggering. It's a shame that they don't teach much history to kids anymore as the sacrifices made can teach so much about the cost of freedom. I hope you've got your rig back from service. Have fun and stay safe out there!
Hey Dustin and Leslie! I saw you on the water board Dustin I would have done the same thing. I didn’t understand how you got booted out of the ax game Dustin. I was laughing when I saw your shoe come off I’m how did that happen? This is so fun! I don’t want anybody booted off so far nobody has. The plot thickens. lol! 😂 love this! Better than Surviver. lol! Is that white stuff snow or sand? Donna my sister and I wanted to know. She was watching with me. She liked it too!
New subscriber, I'm finding your history tours to be interesting. If Jackson had lived he may have extended the length of the war and the slaughter on both sides. The South certainly held the majority of military acumen in the east but not the west, until Grant came east.

The history is truly amazing there! The sense of duty to save and render aid is what makes it the best country. We salute you and all our military.
Your channel is a positive force in the RUclips world. Thanks for making a difference!
Thank you
Love the history Let's keep teaching what happen & not hiding or rewriting it. It was definitely a private or second lieutenant!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Appreciate the history lesson. You two are always appreciated .

Oh ok! I thought I recognized him. I hope they have more of these in the future. It keeps you in suspense who’s going to win.

They should teach more to kids about our history. It is important stuff. We just got our RV out of service two days ago. All fixed up.
a Second Lt leading his men from the back LOL
