Dustin, Leslie... I just watched your into segment on RV Unplugged. Over the last 5 years, I have occasionally watched your channel, but this is the first time that I heard your story. My husband, daughter, niece and I visited Colonial Beach many years ago when the girls were young. We went to Fredericksburg, Richmond, Pope's Creeks (Washington's Childhood home) , Stratford Hall (Robert E. Lee's birthplace), and many other places in Westmorland County. So much American history there. I'm glad you enjoyed the area. There is much more to see! As always, safe travels.

Apparently there are 7 bronze otter statues around the downtown area of Fredericksburg and they have a scavenger hunt to help you find them all. Kind of reminds me of the "mice on main" in Greenville, SC. I enjoyed your walk around, love the history! Thanks!

This is so cool to see George Washington’s mother’s house. This is cool to this part of history of George Washington’s mother’s house. And who owned it after. I love learning this too. That was cool seeing the mirror and the painting. Goid to know and learn about Pres. Monroe. Monroe was and did a lot. Thank you Dustin and Leslie for this video! Loved it see you soon! I remember the 1st time i went in Walmart...it was in Ohio & about 30 years ago.....I just remember thinking i wish we had these home.
Now there everywhere up here.
I have been past Fredericksburg but never knew it was that historical. But I never studied American history till i was in grade 10.
We will go there now that you have book marked it for us....

We learned quite a bit about Monroe in elementary school along with Jefferson and Lewis & Clark. I think that's because of being raised out west. The Lewis and Clark expedition and Louisiana Purchase are kind of a big deal out here.
Ya, that's true. I'm glad we went - we honestly needed more time to explore it all.
