- Vibing Leaf Yet again creates an incredible Creepypasta Re-take. This time on The Grieving. A classic Amazing World Of Gumball Creepypasta. In this video I Analyze the video and potentially explain anything you may be confused about.

Someone had a theory of Corpse being Penny Fitzgerald if Gumball never convinced her she wasn't a monster without her shell. Penny ran into the woods and slowly lost her humanity and went insane, becoming Corpse. Penny blames Gumball for ruining her life so she took away Anais and Darwin, two other people he loved. Gumball feels immense grief for not only his sibling but grief for Penny.

Considering Penny's transformations are based off her emotions, I wouldn't be surprised that Corpse could be her. I mean...one of her angry forms is bulky IIRC.
It sounds unsettlingly dark for a show like TAWG
He also forgot to mention that Nicole killed corpse.

You know what I love? The fact that TAWOG actually ACKNOWLEDGED The Grieving. I remember there was an internet episode and there was like “This is footage of the lost Gumball episode The Grieving.” And then they Rickrolled us with a Chihuahua

An interesting theory i saw is that corpse is a result of a bad ending version of the shell, where gumball couldn’t convince penny she wasn’t a monster and as a result she fled to the woods and eventually became corpse, it’s an interesting take and really makes gumballs suicide hit much more, since he not only couldn’t help penny but him not being able to help her led to the death of his siblings and possibly his friends if we assume the other children in the incident were other students

This theory may likely be not true due to CORPSE haunting another character like Super Mario in a video uploaded by the same creator who made The Grieving remake which is Vibing Leaf, called Mario19 (insert japanesd text)

3:11 In fact, it is a reference to a chapter (I don't remember which one) where Gumball and Darwin visit the Internet and in one part of the chapter they see a Clickbait video about the original chapter of The Grieving And they are "Rickrolled" (so to speak) after that very message (Sorry for the long explanation, I Am Not A Inglish Speaker)

I think you mixed two different episodes together, those being "The Uploads" where Gumball and Darwin are actually trolled by a fake Gumball movie trailer, and "The Compilation" which treats itself like an actual video in the Gumball universe. In that episode, there's this long build-up segment about how the episode (The Grieving) is super scary, then after it fades to black it cuts to the Saxophone Chihuahua troll. Just thought I'd clear it up :)

I thought this was gonna be a meme overanalyzation of the actual episode "The Grieving" where text at the beginning acts like it's going to be really scary, and says that people that have seen it have never been seen again, and then the episode is just the cast singing a happy song.
In the real series it does do that but instead of cast its the saxophone chiuaha

5:41 i love how vibing leaf actually makes emotional scenes, just like in the redmist re-take pretty well.
Vibingleaf captures the grief parts perfectly.
‘The Grieving’ ends with Richard and Nicole grieving the loss of their children, Nicole had gotten her revenge on the Corpse
‘Red Mist’ ends with SpongeBob and Patrick grieving the loss of their best friend, with SpongeBob wishing he’d knew Squidward was dealing with depression before it was too late. But with Patrick’s reassurance that some people just can’t be fixed and it’s how life works.
let me just say, the ending of the video is oddly heartwarming. there's Richard, wondering if they weren't good parents, and Nicole reminding him how much the family all loved each other. it's a sweet take on the otherwise disturbing story.

The original plot is super dumb in hindsight but when I was younger this freaked me out, the visuals still kinda freak me out but when I was 11 I didn’t sleep for days XD

One thing I didn’t like about the retake was that it strayed away a little bit from both the original story and the original recreation, for example, the scene where Richard and Nicole are crying is cut out and the scene where Richard and Nicole visit Principle Brown to talk about where Darwin and Anais are is also cut out, which for me was a missed opportunity as those scenes were the parts of the story that scared me shitless when I was younger.
Edit: For the record, I didn’t like the disgusting scene of Brown explaining what happened. A scene with the principle would’ve been good, however not like the one from the original. The crying scene however I felt would’ve been fine to keep in as it would add to the depressing atmosphere of the video. Besides that though, I loved this retake.
I think Vibing Leaf felt that it was too forced and unrealistic. Like why would the principle tell in violent detail to parents? But I do think they could have incorporated better with major changes.

The OG was all shock value. This was meaningful horror, not shock horror. Shock horror just tends to be unrealistic.
I mean, that's why it's called a retake..a retake on the original-
something I like about Vibing Leaf's creepypastas end on a happy-ish ending. The Grieving ends with a heartfelt conversation between Richard and Nicole, Red Mist has the conversation between Spongebob and Patrick, and Herobrine has the conversation between Notch and Herobrine. Most creepypastas end on a dark note, so the happy endings are really refreshing

Dudeeee, I used to be so afraid of the grieving but still watched it, even if it scared me and i couldn’t watch the whole video whole. It was one of my first intro to creepypasta/lost episodes. Its one of my favorites.
Knowing the kind of humor this show is known for, I am surprised that there was never an episode made that was a parody of this creepypasta, though I do believe in one episode there was a subtle reference that could be seen as poking fun at this creepypasta even if it was quite indirectly.
Yeah, in one of the internet episodes there was a video called “The Grieving”, which had a really long intro hyping up how disturbing the video would be, just for it to end up being a troll video of a chihuahua playing a saxophone- a repeated gag throughout the episode
The darkness slowly moving at the start seems to resemble a episode I forgot
I can't remember the name, but I remember one of the moments where Gumball flushed a lego kid
@@willowshake023 I think it was "The Downer" gumball was trapped in his mind and some sort of darkness started taking over everything around him. That episode needs more theories

@@rockycuro7737 Well the darkness was just his "imagination" if you'd call it. But it only appeared when he was in a bad mood and then suddenly he couldn't turn it off or even see anyone around.
Might have to do with his emotions, he felt cranky and angry. In the video he felt hopeless and depressed and it came to him much faster then the first time.
I'm surprised that episode doesn't count or expand AS a creepypasta. With the context that was given to us, anyone could write more to it or add scarier stuff.

im excited! I love the RETAKE videos as they not only give more story and improve on the original, but the characters, still kinda feel like themselves. I also love that despite all the disturbing imagery and dark subject matter, its delt with respect, taste and is very meaningful, I love both endings of red mist and the grieving retakes, as they were heart-felt, and gut-wrenching at the same time! Im super hyped for mouse.avi, and hopefully others like maybe gergory's room get the retake treatment, cause so many have potential but fall flat due to tropes and being overly "shocking and gory"

Honestly, I think there should be a serial killer creepypasta about the clown that always appears in the actual gumball show, like, it, but instead of a alien, it's a kidnapper, going after kids still

the character on the left of the mouse character i don’t think it is in reference to the squidward monstrocity in red mist re take.i think the characters are all teasers for upcoming characters. considering the main color scheme of the squidward monstrocity is white while the guy on the left seems to have a red color scheme and underneath the eyeball it seems to have sharp teeth so i think it might be a completely different character for a character that might even be a oc for these re takes like corpse

Vibingleaf did confirm on his server that Corpse is a different entity from Penny. Like Richard and Nichole, Penny didnt take Gumballs death easily.

truth be told, gumball and darwin and even anias could have killed corpse seeing as gumball and darwin taking on a big bang.
gumball hid, anais i have no clue, darwin was able to withstand a bash on his skull and all 3 of his limbs being ripped off and still lived even while in the cold but he couldnt survive the steak going directly at his head. nicole did kill CORPSE later on though
A monster called Corpse that corrupts fiction by adding corpses to them is was better than Sonic.exe or anything similar.

The ghost on the very right kinda resembles a FNAF ghost to me.
I always remember my first exposure to "the grieving" from the episode "the compilation" as they referenced the creepypasta but at the time I didn't know what it was until way later
Something I noticed when the 3 souls appered the left was orange (possibly representing darwin) mickey was pink (like anais) and the boy was blue (just like gumball)
That frame of Darwin looking at the corpse of Anais pops into my mind sometimes and reminds me of when I'd watch (In my Mlp phase) the rainbow factory's 3D animated music video, a specific cupcakes animation and Smile HD

The best thing about vibingleaf’s videos at the end with someone who is really sad and another who calms them down. Like the squid ward one SpongeBob is sad and Patrick is the one to calm him down unlike normal episodes it’s SpongeBob who would be the one to calm Patrick down

7:35 There’s a fanfic about the retake and it shows what happened to Gumball during the attack. The boys were ahead of Anais as they walked through the forest towards school as it was still open even during the snow. He was with his siblings, the Wendingo snatched Anais and held up up high and her scared attracted the attention of Gumball and Darwin who were forced to watch their baby sister get slaughtered and and devoured by the Corpse, and as the 2 run away Corpse charges at Darwin and slices his leg clean off. Darwin pleaded and begged Gumball to help but Gumball just stood there ans shock and horror as his brain had shutdown blocking any commands Gumball tried to do. As Darwin leapt to Gumball he was impaled by a log and killed instantly. Gumball was a sitting duck during this and only regained control once he saw Corpse stare back at him with blood still dripping from its mouth. Fearing his fate Gumball ran away on all 4’s at full speed leaving behind Corpse and the remains of his siblings. Apparently Gumball hid from the Corpse for hours until nighttime and faked the phone call while doing so. As he left the forest and was confused on why the Corpse didn’t follow him or try to find him or chase him when he ran. Gumball blamed himself for not doing anything and was even contemplating turning around and running full speed back deep into the dark woods back to where the remains of his siblings were and finding and confronting Corpse (as a suicide attack) until he stepped on a rope and we all know what happens after. Nicole did kill Corpse afterwards but most likely tortured it slowly and painfully making it go through what it did to her children. Gumball was most likely found by his parents and Principal Brown or even by Rocky the janitor after hearing his scream of rage before deciding to end himself.

All I remember from this is Anias's head in a box and the episode being buried in the desert.
unrelated but I was watching this video at 1 AM and while doing so my laptop crashed. Freaky. Creepypasta wasn't anything too special but I do gotta say Vibing Leaf did a great job adapting it. It is interesting that their adaptations do add a lot of maturity to what was previously just rather juvenile, shocking "Edgy" stories that intended to basically just include as much edgy 'scary' content as possible in manners that aren't thought through. So many lost episode creepypastas just feature random characters dying to the point where it's comedic but It's intriguing to see people who have grown up on these internet campfire tales like myself, who later take these concepts and evaluate their consequences, all while still remaining disturbing, moreso than the actual creepypastas sometimes.
