I'm swedish, so sorry if I fail to explain this well 🙈 I had some media related courses in uni and amongst other things we studied how someone would shoot an object that's very intimate to them or has special sentimental meaning to them. Basically the way JK was filming Tae in my opinion precisely fits those criteria. The rather romantic light editing, the relaxed side angle, the "longing" vibe, the gentle smooth movements of the cam, the intimate close-ups that aim at creating closeness - both between us viewers and the person being filmed, and the camera-man and subject (in this case JK and Tae). We know the function of the close-up is to create stronger connection to the subject and basically make it more intimate and "in your face", and here we have JK focusing so intimately on small parts of Tae's face and expression. For me, as a film nerd and taekooker, some of these parts were almost too intimate too watch 😅 When filming a project that is meaningful to the director on a personal level (like this MV is for JK), every second of the video counts. You don't put stuff in, that has no relevance. Film makers speak through their lens, through their shots, through every single frame. JK was very vocal about wanting us to guess which parts he filmed. It's important for him that the viewer differentiates between BigHit's filming and his own work, because as a film maker your shots are your words/language.That's how they communicate. That's how they show us their point of view, their world. And, as you point out, the fact that Tae's solo parts were almost double the time compared to the other members' solo shots, just speaks volumes in my opinion.
During the press conference tae was wearing a dark blue jacket and jungkookie was wearing a grey jacket So blue and grey. Maybe taekook is hinting about their relationship hidden behind the cameras . Jungkookie told that stay is a vision about the future and how they wish to be together with someone you loved so maybe that's why tae insisted it to be added . In blue and grey tae ends the song by "I secretly picked up the words floating in the air and now I fall asleep at dawn goodnight " In stay jungkookie ends the song by " the cold wind blows I take your hands , l feel your breath I close my eyes We are together " Comparing both the lyrics together it's like tae was crying and jungkookie is consoling him . And both the songs have more depth and meaning to them than what meets our eye.

We knew then, how he works closely at hand with JK during this mv process. I agree with you. Taekook-Lives' videos are really great. The past few weeks I thought that even if there were not so many Taekook moments, the fact that Tae was the one that suggested that JK produce some of the video footage for their album, is (to me) one of the strongest indications of a very deep and real bond between them. I do believe that while in quarantine, the boys had to face some of their biggest fears namely What will we do when we can not perform. JK said on occasion that he sometimes gets completely overwhelmed when he thinks about the future without BTS. Tae must be well aware of this. It was interesting that Tae was the only one to strongly suggest that JK do the video footage even though RM and Hobi looked less enthusiastic about this in the initial meeting. Tae knew it would not be easy but he was adamant that JK could manage this. Doing the video allowed JK to get a step closer to a dream he expressed some time ago (as this video shows) and perhaps because he was able to do this, I hope he is slightly less anxious about the future - all this thanks to Tae's suggestion and the willingness of BigHit to allow the members to produce this album. Very noticeable also is V's comments about JK in the recent Esquire interview that shows V's deep understanding of JK's personality. This is such a year of contrast for BTS - it started of as the worst of times and yet, it seemed to turn into the best of times with the success of their online concerts, releasing Dynamite and BE and of course the Grammy nomination. My hope for them is that this year has taught them how resilient they are and I hope that many of their fears about their future after BTS have subsided as they are talented in so many ways.

Both songs : Blue and Gray & Stay made me cry and think of TaeKook ! My heart aches for them . Clearly, the song is them talking to each other : one is telling the other he's about to give up but the other is saying " Hold On " i'm still here , don't give up... hold on we will be together in the end, no matter what " ! That's why Tae insisted on working with Kookie because...Who understands him better ?!
I truly believe that we were this close to having a Taekook subunit with Blue & Grey. I feel like Tae just didn't want to flat out tell the members nor the agency something like, "Oh, I want JK to sing this song with me," because he didn't want to sound self-serving. But the fact that in that Bangtan bomb he actually said something like, "I want to have one other person from the vocal line in the song I'm working on," means B&G was originally, for the purposes of the BE album, meant to be a duet. AND JK, in that same video, said, "But you '95s already did something together, 'Friends'!" Ugh feels like JK too WANTED the Taekook duet! I'm still mindblown. We were so close. So close to a track that will once and for all immortalize the perfect harmonization of Taekook's voices.
I'm still waiting for Taekook unit in their mixtape. They two seem also wanted to have it. And at the first time I saw Blue&Grey on tracklist, and heard that B&G might be the one Tae played in "In the Soop", the only one I think that could be suitable with Tae was Kook. Tae always gives me the impression of grace and charisma of a noble descendant, even though he doesn't make a big move when posing, relying on his face and eyes, we can feel his presence. Plus his strong aura, I think the royal theme is apt for Tae. Regarding TaeKook's relationship I think everyone can see that they have a strong inner relationship that is not necessarily shared by ordinary couples. I hope they are happy to grow old together. I am not very familiar with the process of making a film etc but I can say what thoughts I had while watching the MV. First of all, I want to clarify I'm a Taekooker, so my opinion might not be 100% objective. Maybe it is how many close-ups there are of him while the others have practically none, maybe it's just the part where all we saw where his lips. For me, that's nothing you would do when you're the director without a really special bond towards the person being shot. I immediately thought we saw V with eyes of someone who loves him (oblivious to the fact JK was the director) also because the camerawork seemed so soft and gentle, like virtually caressing him. It's hard to describe this feeling I get when I watch it, but I feel like a ghost next/in the person that's married to him, watching and admiring him doing the normal things like driving a car. I guess you can all imagine how I screamed when I saw JK was the director XD. Then, if you watch screen time distribution videos, one thing stands out: V has a LOT of time. So, JK seems to have decided, subconsciously or not, to give him a lot of time (maybe he just wanted to see him a lot, who knows? XD) Then, the fact V appears first and last. For example, when we have to give a speech, my teachers always tell us we have to start with something interesting to not lose watchers/listeners and to end with something important so that we will make sure others will remember our words. The fact it's V for both times speaks volumes if I think about it like that. JK's solo part appears right after V, and call me delulu if you want, but how V was in the car and JK looked outside the window of his "home", pressing his hands against the window, gave me huge "I'm waiting for my boyfriend to return form work"-vibes XD. A little like in these films where you see the two people in a relationship and what they are doing, only to end with them being finally together again. Then, the small thing when V touched his lips. While the members watched the MV, they all seemed pretty confused why he did that. And what did V do? He said it was one of his "habits". The members didn't seem to have ever caught him doing that. I wondered a long time why he could have then done it (the moving didn't seem to be without purpose, in fact, it was pretty much "to the point"), all I can think about is that he was either told to do that or he wanted to attract someone (I heard lots of people touch special, attracting parts of themselves to get the eyes of the people they are attracted to on that part). Now, who would ask him to do that? I can't imagine any director doing that, it seems so intimate. The members all were pretty shocked, so the only solution I feel there is, is that it was JK. If you have another idea, please tell me :) Anyways, that's it with this super long comment, sorry about that, just wanted to get that off my chest XD Thanks for reading :)
I always feel like tae and kook completes eachother. It's like if one is sad the other is there by some way's to make him happy. Blue and grey is my personal favourite and the way actually blue and grey and stay compliment and complete eachother is like tae is questioning with one song and jk is answering with another song. Also the amount of screen time of tae my goodness, I want director jk for all the mv's from now on. 😭💜
Mr. Sexy 2020 Kookie is directing a MV now and Mr.Handsome 2020 Tae is a producer, writer, composer and visual PM. Plus Kookie is a good writer and Tae is a good actor they really are so good together. I still remember when Kookie told Tae he should write a song and Tae thought he couldn't now Tae was pushing to make Kookie's dream of directing a MV come true. They are so encouraging to each other and it beautiful.

I "ship" a lot of people but Taekook and another ship are the only ones I actually see being in a real relationship. There moments have always felt so intimate that I feel like I'm imposing on something. I feel bad for all the people who aren't born yet and won't be able to see Taekook's love flourish in real time.
Seokjin’s superior acting makes that car scene hit hard. He is looking back at the members kind of longingly, as if he is capturing the moment in his mind ( not just checking to see if they have their seatbelts on. Ha) They really did bring out and reflect the strengths of each member. JK’s first BTS mv= masterpiece .
I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. When I saw a dance practice video of Baepsae a couple years ago I initially thought one of the members was especially cute and I could tell that one of them had classical dance training and at first I just wanted to be able to tell the members apart. I found a few helpful vids about who they were, how they were different from one another, their strengths and weaknesses, and about their overall message. Which was really awesome. But what caught my heart was Taekook. And I learned about them through your videos. I swear I spent a week straight binging your vids while listening to their music more and more. It was their story and struggle that made me feel close to them, and I never would have understood the depth of it without your perspective. I've come to love every single member so much, and BTS' music is an oasis of love and joy in a world of my own personal sadnesses. I owe BTS so much, but YOU were what reeled me into their world initially. I support Tae and Kook no matter what is going on in their lives, although the evidence supports their being more than just close friends. Regardless, without your vids, I may not have emotionally invested in the group enough to become ARMY, and may have moved on to other interests without TK. So... thank you for helping me find BTS. You are precious and I love how supportive you to everyone. You are valid and beautiful, and the world is a better, kinder place with you in it. I agree with you. Taekook-Lives' videos are really great. The past few weeks I thought that even if there were not so many Taekook moments, the fact that Tae was the one that suggested that JK produce some of the video footage for their album, is (to me) one of the strongest indications of a very deep and real bond between them.
I do believe that while in quarantine, the boys had to face some of their biggest fears namely What will we do when we can not perform. JK said on occasion that he sometimes gets completely overwhelmed when he thinks about the future without BTS.
Tae must be well aware of this. It was interesting that Tae was the only one to strongly suggest that JK do the video footage even though RM and Hobi looked less enthusiastic about this in the initial meeting. Tae knew it would not be easy but he was adamant that JK could manage this.
Doing the video allowed JK to get a step closer to a dream he expressed some time ago (as this video shows)
and perhaps because he was able to do this, I hope he is slightly less anxious about the future - all this thanks to Tae's suggestion and the willingness of BigHit to allow the members to produce this album.
Very noticeable also is V's comments about JK in the recent Esquire interview that shows V's deep understanding of JK's personality.
This is such a year of contrast for BTS - it started of as the worst of times and yet, it seemed to turn into the best of times with the success of their online concerts, releasing Dynamite and BE and of course the Grammy nomination. My hope for them is that this year has taught them how resilient they are and I hope that many of their fears about their future after BTS have subsided as they are talented in so many
ways.

I truly believe that we were this close to having a Taekook subunit with Blue & Grey. I feel like Tae just didn't want to flat out tell the members nor the agency something like, "Oh, I want JK to sing this song with me," because he didn't want to sound self-serving. But the fact that in that Bangtan bomb he actually said something like, "I want to have one other person from the vocal line in the song I'm working on," means B&G was originally, for the purposes of the BE album, meant to be a duet. AND JK, in that same video, said, "But you '95s already did something together, 'Friends'!" Ugh feels like JK too WANTED the Taekook duet!
I'm still mindblown. We were so close. So close to a track that will once and for all immortalize the perfect harmonization of Taekook's voices.
I'm still waiting for Taekook unit in their mixtape. They two seem also wanted to have it. Tae always gives me the impression of grace and charisma of a noble descendant, even though he doesn't make a big move when posing, relying on his face and eyes, we can feel his presence. Plus his strong aura, I think the royal theme is apt for Tae.

I am not very familiar with the process of making a film etc but I can say what thoughts I had while watching the MV.
First of all, I want to clarify I'm a Taekooker, so my opinion might not be 100% objective.
Maybe it is how many close-ups there are of him while the others have practically none, maybe it's just the part where all we saw where his lips. For me, that's nothing you would do when you're the director without a really special bond towards the person being shot. I immediately thought we saw V with eyes of someone who loves him (oblivious to the fact JK was the director) also because the camerawork seemed so soft and gentle, like virtually caressing him. It's hard to describe this feeling I get when I watch it, but I feel like a ghost next/in the person that's married to him, watching and admiring him doing the normal things like driving a car. I guess you can all imagine how I screamed when I saw JK was the director XD.
Then, if you watch screen time distribution videos, one thing stands out: V has a LOT of time. So, JK seems to have decided, subconsciously or not, to give him a lot of time (maybe he just wanted to see him a lot, who knows? XD)
Then, the fact V appears first and last. For example, when we have to give a speech, my teachers always tell us we have to start with something interesting to not lose watchers/listeners and to end with something important so that we will make sure others will remember our words. The fact it's V for both times speaks volumes if I think about it like that.
JK's solo part appears right after V, and call me delulu if you want, but how V was in the car and JK looked outside the window of his "home", pressing his hands against the window, gave me huge "I'm waiting for my boyfriend to return form work"-vibes XD. A little like in these films where you see the two people in a relationship and what they are doing, only to end with them being finally together again.
Then, the small thing when V touched his lips. While the members watched the MV, they all seemed pretty confused why he did that. And what did V do? He said it was one of his "habits". The members didn't seem to have ever caught him doing that. I wondered a long time why he could have then done it (the moving didn't seem to be without purpose, in fact, it was pretty much "to the point"), all I can think about is that he was either told to do that or he wanted to attract someone (I heard lots of people touch special, attracting parts of themselves to get the eyes of the people they are attracted to on that part). Now, who would ask him to do that? I can't imagine any director doing that, it seems so intimate. The members all were pretty shocked, so the only solution I feel there is, is that it was JK. If you have another idea, please tell me :)

I always feel like tae and kook completes eachother. It's like if one is sad the other is there by some way's to make him happy. Blue and grey is my personal favourite and the way actually blue and grey and stay compliment and complete eachother is like tae is questioning with one song and jk is answering with another song. I "ship" a lot of people but Taekook and another ship are the only ones I actually see being in a real relationship. There moments have always felt so intimate that I feel like I'm imposing on something. I feel bad for all the people who aren't born yet and won't be able to see Taekook's love flourish in real time.

I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. When I saw a dance practice video of Baepsae a couple years ago I initially thought one of the members was especially cute and I could tell that one of them had classical dance training and at first I just wanted to be able to tell the members apart. I found a few helpful vids about who they were, how they were different from one another, their strengths and weaknesses, and about their overall message. Which was really awesome. But what caught my heart was Taekook. And I learned about them through your videos. I swear I spent a week straight binging your vids while listening to their music more and more. It was their story and struggle that made me feel close to them, and I never would have understood the depth of it without your perspective. I've come to love every single member so much, and BTS' music is an oasis of love and joy in a world of my own personal sadnesses. I owe BTS so much, but YOU were what reeled me into their world initially. I support Tae and Kook no matter what is going on in their lives, although the evidence supports their being more than just close friends. Regardless, without your vids, I may not have emotionally invested in the group enough to become ARMY, and may have moved on to other interests without TK. So... thank you for helping me find BTS. You are precious and I love how supportive you to everyone. You are valid and beautiful, and the world is a better, kinder place with you in it. Tae seems to be coming into his own just lately, I’m glad to see that happening.
He has surely been bolder & persistent to the group & his company about his views. Glad they are acknowledging his talents & instincts . He is a genius in many ways. I believe if anyone knows their ARMY'S needs & wants it's him. So thrilled with this album. Tho I read Jimin insisted on collaborating on a song with V that sent the notes higher & really strained V's vocals. Not good. Gonna be hard to do that in concert eventually time after time.
