Despite the risk of operating as the sun came up, the crew stayed on station and as they began to engage targets, they were struck and brought down by a surface-to-air missile. @@Ajirah- it's called the gulf war. Goddamn study history man
SPIRIT-03, angels in the sky.
Yes
And that’s why we have the AC-130J Ghostrider as the last in-service AC-130, and it’s a beauty.
The day that changed my life forever....RIP DAD...you will always be my hero....SMST Paul Buege
R.I.P
Your dad will not be forgotten.
I thank them for their sacrifice. Such sacrifices you seldom find anywhere else. My condolences to the families. God bless🇺🇸 America ♥️
That is a moving epitaph.. salute.
Say whatever you want but the armed forces are the best at coming up with amazing quotes, I got goosebumps from that
We love all our heroes , we pray for all
Of them
And their families ❤
We Americans salute you crew of spirit 03 amen
May God bless them and their families for making the ultimate sacrifice. We take for granted the freedom that they died for. Exercise your rights today in honor of these soldiers
May those who have fallen find the peace and rest that they deserve in whatever lies beyond this place
A toast.
The guts to try take many shapes, but when you call an air commando, we answer.
I witnessed the shoot down from the cockpit of an AWACS orbiting overhead. Horrible night.
Ghostriders never die🙏❤️
I hate it when we take loses. We should be untouchable. Unstoppable and unwavering. Though i am first gen american, i carry pride for us who live on this land
I love visiting that spot
They knew the risks and rushed head on for their brothers.
No greater sacrifice than to save a life and lay down your own.
Here come the sun
Long live the free world - every free man is a hero given the chance
My brother thought ac130s can’t be shot down because they’re too big and scary and tough but obviously he’s wrong
Ac 130 are easy to take down they have exposed engines and shit a ww2 s200 would take it down easily it’s a big target and super slow
@@Ajirah- you'd be surprised
@@Ajirah- not the current ones for many different reasons
@@Ajirah- it's like a flying fucking tank idk what ur on about
@@Ajirah- you right, though the gunship only used in total air superiority it still an easy target as it has no protection against fighters
I can’t imagine our angel of death being shot down.
Respect! Thank you for your service
What actually happen: when they are in low ammunition and fuel. They didn’t stop there. They keep shooting and shooting until.. the targets shoots air to surface missles towards it.. and then it went crashing and every crew member died
My bro made a whole story explaining this
Because in real life there is no respawning and these brave airmen sacrificed everything for their comrades.
So this is why you can shoot down ac130 with stingers in battlefield 3
"Servicing"
Damn that's almost around the exact day I was born. Almost
That’s sad
I dont get why people say airliners are the queen/god/king/goddess of the sky when these guys are out here fighting for our freedom and country
Amen.
Lord I pray for these men's families and the well-being and safety of the future servicemen and families that will make sacrifices for the good and righteousness of the people of the world and the United States of America. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
My heart goes to them
Respect 🫡
RIP motivators.
The Ledgends
There's still many ac-130
The angel of death
No this is the last ac-130 that was shot down not the last one ever
THE KILLERS SHALL PAY!
I always saw the AC-130 like an aircraft carrier: a sitting duck
Spoken like a true boomer hahaha
@@EmeraldBomb I’m not boomer hahaha
that is unless its nighttime, because you won't be able to see the duck.
6 ac 130s have been shot down in history
Or as the old heads say, those young fools went and died because some politician sold them some swampland.
The gulf war was about protecting another nations soveriegnty. It was hardly the wars of the 21th century
Head down and in this hell all called freedom for what country?
Rip ac130
So if the like 150 coalition KIA in that war 10% were from one plane crash.
Well that was a bit silly wasn’t it ?
wrong title to put there.
The not good for any of us
The illegal war
Well, that was dumb
14 of America's best died for the security of Kuwaiti oil.
What a waste of life, dying for oil stocks
What a bad take
For those ruling america, thats a price they are willing to pay. Any country that sends its forces to every conflict in the world doesn't care about its own people. A superpower can't exist if it doesn't tread beyond its own borders.
What they don’t tell you is that another plane was almost shot down a few days before and the commander pleaded with the general not to send any more airmen to die, and they refused to heed the warning. They died for no reason and then tried to cover it up by burning the wreckage after the crash. Most or all families never received in tact bodies; remains were divided up among families and told not to open them. That’s the truth they’ve covered up. I know someone who was there.
Let's not spread conspiracies
BS
Source - Trust me bro
I rate this 9/11
Well, our C130 is as stealthy as a china man's greed.....
May God be with you Boys 🇺🇸 Honor is earned
dude...... dont tell it like story. just talk regularly like u always do
What's wrong with that?
